CHAPTER 2

Once breakfast was finished and his pack was content, Kouga wrapped several furs into a bundld led left Ginta and Hakkagu in charge. The only
explanation he offered was that he had personal business to attend.

Kouga was heading east. There were few inhabitants in this area due to the large trees and dense foliage that covered the land. It would have been very hard
for humans to remove all of this, so they lived in the places where the land was less of a hassle to clear.

It was rumored that one person did live here, hidden away amongst the tall trees, who had many secrets and abilities. Kouga knew that most humans were
weak and worthless but others could rival the powers of full blooded youkai. A powerful human was exactly what he need to aid him in the capture of his
future mate. Soon all his fantasies would become reality. Fantasies of touching and tasting this sweet woman while listening to her cries of pleasure and
requests for more.

An over confident smirk crossed his face as he imagined the love Kagome would soon feel for him and how many pups their union would bring. He now
sported a sappy look as he imagined coming back to the caves after hunting and having at least ten strong healthy pups running with outstretched arms and little
tails wagging yelling happily to greet him. And when he lookowaroward the caves entrance there would stand Kagome, smiling just for him with a round belly
that held his next pup and their youngest on her hip. Her breasts would be large from all the milk she needed to provide and dinner would be started on the fire.
'She will be my lover, mate, confidant and the best mother for all my pups. I know exactly what a female wants and I will be her provider. When I tell her how
our life is going to be, she'll come running into my arms and forget all about dog face.' his arrogance returned as he sped off deeper into the woods seeking out
the old woman named Aimai.

Many rumors surrounded her but Kouga wasn't sure what to believe. It was said that Aimai was some type of witch who was hundreds of years old, while
others claimed she was not human at all but an earth spirit that could change shape and knew every form of magic know to both youkai and man kind. No
matter what was said, there were no rumors of her being unkind or hating demons. He slowed down and smelled air air to detect any new scents. He found
one of a human female and headed off in its direction. Kouga saw a small hut with a wisp of smoke coming from the vent in the roof and the smell of
vegetables and meat broth cooking tickled his nose. He walked to the front door and before he could knock, it opened.
Kouga was greeted by a short woman in her later forties with black hair streaked in grey, that was tied back in a loose pony tail. She was pleasant looking,
almost reminding Kouga of his own grandmother. "Hello young wolf prince, what can I do for you?" she smiled and waited for his answer.

"I am here to ask for your help in obtaining two spells."

"Come in..." Aimai stepped aside and Kouga walked in looking around at her humble abode, "now, what kind of "spells" are you looking for?"

"Well, I need something to keep an unwilling mate near by and help her to see how much I really love her. She is one of the most stubborn women I have ever
met!" Aimai laughed as she and Kouga sat down near the fire. Aimai spooned a generous helping of stew into a bowl and handed it to the youkai. "Thank
you.....it's very tasty. Can you help me Aimai? I have brought a bundle of deer skins and furs as payment." She stood and placed her bowl on a table eager to
inspect her payment.

"Yes, Kouga, these will do just fine. With the cold weather approaching, they will come in quite handy." Aimai re-wrapped the furs and sat back down by
Kougokinoking him in the eye, "ok, let's talk business........"

A few hours later Kouga left the hut with a pouch in hand and headed back to his lands.

"Kouga has returned!"Ginta yelled and ran toward the main den entrance. Many wolves came out to see their leader.

Kouga smelled of magic, "Oi, Kouga, where have you been? We were starting to get worried." Hakkakau questioned their prince in a cautious tone.

"I told you, I had business to take care of....." Kouga stated as he climbed on top of a huge boulder in order to address his pack, "Listen closely everyone....
things are going to change soon. For many years now the elders have urged me to choose a mate. As you know the human Kagome has stolen my heart. I
desire nothing more than to have her as my mate. I have already made an intent claim on her in front of Inuyasha, and now, I will make my intentions fully
know to all of you. Kagome will be my mate although she has been resistant in the past, I have finally found a way to make her see..." Kouga held up the
pouch, ".. that our way of life and being my mate will be the key to her happiness. Our pups will be strong and insure that our reign in this land will never
end." Kouga paused to look out at the sea of faces, some looked doubtful but most seemed to approve of his claim.

"Kouga, do you really expect to take this woman by force?" the voice came from one of the elder wolves that Kouga had referred to earlier.

"I'm not going to hurt her.."

"That is not what I mean and you know it! You know that it is not possible to properly claim a female when she does not care for you in the same way. It is
wrong and besides, what makes you think that whatever you have in that pouch is strong enough to make a MIKO stay with you?"

"Don't worry, you will see soon enough." was Kouga's only response.
