Miroku came back with
both Kagome and Sango; all of them carried food for the youkai sisters in Kaedes
hut. He watched them eat with healthy apatite and he felt a wash of relief. He
had indeed done a good thing.

Later that day�
Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru
had been assigned with a dangerous mission � babysitting. They sat high up in a
tree, watching over three youngsters and a fire cat, tumbling around playing tag
with each other. Kanna�s transformation had been a shock for all of them, but
they were happy for her and her sister Kagura. The wind witch had turned out to
be a very soft and gentle creature now that they were not enemies anymore. But
what surprised them most was the possessive manner the monk suddenly displayed
around Kagura. Sango had her clues of course, but she would just smile softly.

Kagura sat with Kagome,
Sango and Kaede. She felt very safe and secure around these people and she
regretted all those times she had battled them. They were good people and now
she was one of them. Her youkai heart was filled with warmth and happiness.

Kagura-san, are you going to
help us fight Naraku? asked Sango and stroked the little bulge under her kimono.

-
Of course I am, but not Kanna.
She has seen too much of that creep already. I hope she can stay here with you

Kaede-sama, if that is ok with you?

Of course I will take care of
the child Kagura-san, said Kaede and nodded.

-
Good, then I am happy.

-
Do you know where he is hiding
now? wondered Kagome.

-
I am sure he is very pissed off
about our little escape and my guesses are that he will be trying to get back
our hearts so he can kill us. And I have a request to make if that is alright
with you Kagome-sama and Sango-sama, said Kagura and looked with her red eyes
towards the two friends.

What is it? asked Sango.

-
I can smell that you both are
pregnant, and I wish that you will stay here with Kaede-sama too. I don�t want
you to be injured during the fight against the asshole.
The wind youkai�s voice
was stern and they knew that nothing could make her change her mind about that.
And Kagome and Sango knew that their mates would not allow them to fight either.

-
But for now � let me hear about
how you all got together, and I want to hear the juicy parts too, giggled Kagura
in a girlish manner.
Kagome and Sango dropped
their jaws and Kaede chuckled before she rose and went outside. This was not
something for an old lady to hear.

The two brothers had
moved to sit under the tree together with Miroku. All three had a child in their
arms. Inuyasha cradled a young kitsune in his red haori, Sesshoumaru had his
daughter in his lap and Miroku had offered his lap to the young Kanna. At first
she had been cautious about it, but when she saw Rin and Shippou snuggling
closer to their fathers she felt a bit jealous and took up on Miroku�s offer.
And it felt good; it felt very good to have an adult that cared for you. It did
not take her to long before she drifted off to sleep.

The most powerful men in all of
Japan is reduced to look after children, said Sesshoumaru with a soft snort and
brushed a few black strands of hair from Rin�s face.

-
Well, I don�t think it�s all
that bad, said Miroku and rocked the pale form in his arms.

-
Me neither, I kind of like this,
said Inuyasha.
The truth was they all
liked it more than they were willing to admit. And they all wanted to get rid of
the vile Naraku, so they could play with the children all day long without
having to worry about sneaky attacks from their arch enemy.
