Chapter 21: Caught In A Lie!
A/N: The transfusion goes well and Lyrie seems to be accepting Sesshomaru’s marrow very well. Sesshomaru catches Kagome in a lie and finds out the real reason that she was late to the hospital! Will he freak out?
Dr. Dihn approached a very nervous and anxious set of parents sitting in the hallway outside of Lyrie and Sesshomaru’s hospital rooms. Kagome and Inuyasha both leapt to their feet. “Oh Dr. Dihn, is everything alright?”
“Yes Mrs. Nobu, th, the procedure went very well. Lyrie looks as if she will be making a full recovery.”
“Oh thank you Dr. Dihn, that’s wonderful news!”
“Yes, now if you’ll excuse me I have some paperwork that needs to be done.”
“Oh yes of course Dr. Dihn.” Inuyasha came to stand behind Kagome and placed his hands on her shoulders.
“So what did Dr. Dihn think about the outcome of the procedure?”
“He says that he thinks that Lyrie will make a full recovery!” Inuyasha pulled Kagome into a tight embrace.
“That’s great news angel, I’m so glad our baby girl is going to be alright!” Kagome didn’t even realize that they were standing right in front of Sesshomaru’s recovery room as they were embracing. Sesshomaru watched the tender moment between Kagome and his little brother with a bitter scowl on his face.
‘Damn Kagome! She’s practically melting in Inuyasha’s arms! She’s lying to me about what’s really going on between them!’ Sesshomaru hit the call button on his bedside to call for a nurse. A young brunette haired nurse came into the room a moment later.
“Did you need something Mr. Nobunaga?”
“Yes, could you please tell Kagome Nobunaga that I wish to speak with her?”
“Certainly.”
“Thank you.”
“You’re welcome Mr. Nobunaga.” He watched as the young woman left to go fetch Kagome for him. Moments later Kagome walked into the room alone.
“You were asking for me Sesshomaru?”
“Yes. Come sit.” He patted the chair next to his bedside. She carefully took a seat next to his bed.
“So how are you feeling?”
“Fine.”
“What did you want to see me about?”
“Kagome I noticed that you and Inuyasha have been remaining close by each other’s sides lately.” Kagome swallowed nervously as she prepared to answer.
“Oh uh yes, well Lyrie is our little girl so we’re just concerned for her.”
“I see. So is that why you were letting Inuyasha hold you so tightly in the hallway just a moment ago?” Her cheeks reddened and her eyes fell to her lap quickly. “Kagome, answer me.”
“Sesshomaru, why are you doing this?”
“Because I want answers.”
“Answers to what?”
“To whatever the hell has been going on between you and my bastard little brother! Are you fucking him?” An image of Inuyasha pounding into Kagome on the sofa flashed in her head quickly.
“What? No!”
“You’re lying Kagome.”
“No, no I’m not!”
“Yes you are, you’re completely flustered. You wouldn’t be so nervous if you were telling the truth.”
“I don’t have to sit here and listen to this!” She stood up and marched over to the door.
“Walk out that door and we’re over with Kagome.” She froze instantly and then turned to look at him. “Now that’s better. Close the door Kagome.” Kagome closed the door as he asked and took a step towards him. “Lock it.” She quickly locked the door and returned to his bedside. “Kagome, I know that you’re lying to me. So why don’t you just spill it?”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about Sesshomaru.” He grabbed her arm and yanked her closer to him.
“Don’t fuck with me kitten or I’ll snap that pretty little neck of yours like a twig! Understand?” She nodded stupidly tears filling her blue gray eyes quickly. “Now Kagome, what’s going on between you and Inuyasha?”
“I...we....it was an accident! I didn’t mean for it to happen Sesshomaru!”
“Didn’t mean for what to happen?”
“I.....I had sex with Inuyasha this morning!”
“So that’s the real reason you were late?”
“Yes.”
“You lying bitch, you told me you overslept! When really you were just too busy fucking my little brother!”
“Sesshomaru, please I’m sorry!”
“So you’re back to acting like a slut again are you?” She shook her head. Sesshomaru reached up and grabbed one of Kagome’s breasts and squeezed it roughly.
“Sesshomaru stop it!”
“Oh what’s the matter? I thought that since you gave it away to Inuyasha so easily that maybe you’d be ready for another go around.” Kagome slapped him hard across the face but he grabbed her wrist before she could get out of his reach. “Don’t strike me you little bitch! Now take off your clothes!”
“What? Why?”
“Because I said to now do it!” Kagome immediately began peeling off her clothing. She watched as Sesshomaru took off his hospital gown and began stroking his already hard length. “Get in the bed Kagome.” Kagome climbed into the bed and shut her eyes tightly as Sesshomaru lay over top of her. She flinched when his fingers found their way between her thighs.
“Please don’t Sesshomaru!”
“Don’t act like you don’t want this!”

“Don’t lie to me, you want this! You want my cock inside you because you’re nothing but a slut!”

“And what lesson is that?”

“Go to hell!” He chuckled dryly.
“You may get dressed now and leave because I do not wish to look at you right now. But I expect you to be back at my townhouse tonight.”
“Why should I?”
“We have something we need to discuss.”

“I’ll be there.” Kagome quickly dressed and left Sesshomaru’s room. She went into Lyrie’s room to see that Inuyasha was watching over their little baby girl. “Hey.”
“Hey Kagome, where have you been?”
“Talking to Sesshomaru.”
“Oh.”
“How is she?”
“She’s sleeping but she seems to be doing well.”
“That’s great.”
“So you wanna go home and get some sleep?”
“No Inuyasha, I’m going back to Sesshomaru’s townhouse.”
“But this morning, we slept together Kagome.”
“Yeah and it was wrong Inuyasha, I’m in love with Sesshomaru.”
“He’s a bastard Kagome, he’ll only hurt you.” She remained silent not wanting to confess that he had already hurt her numerous occasions.
“Please Inuyasha, just take me back so I can pack my clothes?”
“Fine, have it your way. You’ll see Kagome, he’ll hurt you, and then you’ll come crying back to me.” Inuyasha grabbed her arm and dragged her behind him out towards the parking lot. He drove her home quickly not really speaking to her unless she spoke to him first. Kagome packed her things and prepared to leave. “Kagome, don’t you care about me at all?”
“Of course, I love you Inuyasha, but I love him too.”
“Well I don’t care about that. I’ll be waiting for you, you know that don’t you?”
“Yes.”
“God I love you so much Kagome, almost too much!”
“I love you too.” He pulled her into his arms and pressed his lips against hers. Kagome kissed him back and then pulled away. Inuyasha watched her leave with a sick feeling beginning to form in the pit of his stomach. She was the woman that he would always love and the fact that she was with Sesshomaru didn’t change that. Inuyasha secretly hoped that one day Kagome would forget about Sesshomaru and return to him. But until that day came he would just have to wait patiently.
