“Oh my dear child, you please this old demon so much. I pray you never change.”

Louna said to Pearl with a hint of humor.

“He is so forward. Why can’t he realize I do not like him touching me?”

Pearl said in exasperation.

“He loves you. Sesshoumaru has never been this forward with a female and he is not sure what to do with you. I promise that all he is thinking about at this very moment is you and how much he wants you since you do not want him. The more you refuse him the more he will pursue you.”

Louna said with a smile.

“Well I don’t think he does love me. He doesn’t even know me. He just lusts after me and that is totally different from love. If I were to give into him he would think it is ok to hit me and abuse me. In my time women could send men to prison for hitting them.”

Pearl said.

“When did he hit you?”

Louna asked with a growl. Sesshoumaru knew better then to hit females.

“When I first arrived in Inuyasha’s body and then he whipped me knowing I was in this body. He whipped me hard with a whip that had blades on it and a bull whip. He used something else on Inuyasha and broke it. I could hear the crack. Poor Inuyasha had to suffer so much from this man and it isn’t right. They were brothers!”

Pearl said in frustration.

Louna sighed.

“Well he did not hit you thinking you were a woman Inuyasha. He thought you were his little brother and the two of them have been fighting for years. Let me tell you a story and then you can see why there is so much animosity between the two brothers.”

Louna said telling the tale of her and Touga first.

“Ours was a political mating and at first I did not wish to be mated to Touga. He was crude and thought he was so funny when he was not.’
“Touga was a practical jokester and would pull pranks on everyone including me. I got tired of it after a while and decided turn about was fair play. When I did we found that we had something in common and Touga was thrilled to have someone to play with him.’
“Gods we were so young. Too young to be parents, but this is the life of a noble. Touga had to bear an heir and it took forever for us to actually rut. You do know what rutting is right child?”

Louna asked.

“Do you mean like sex? I know what sex is.”

Pearl said and Louna had her explain what she knew. Then she smiled and told Pearl that it was similar, but that dog demons usually rutted in their full demon form to breed.

“Well I don’t have a full demon form that I know of thank the gods since he is huge.”

Pearl said and Louna laughed.

“Well my dear Izayoi became pregnant with you so it is possible for Sesshoumaru to breed with you in your current form and eventually he will.”

Louna said with a worried look since she knew her son was not above raping the girl.

“Well I will fight him on that. I am not some brood mare who is just going to lie down and take it.”

Pearl growled out.

“The more you resist him the more he will want you. I suggest giving in little one. It would be better for you both if you did. Sesshoumaru like his Father can be a good man. He just needs a chance. He is really trying to show his feelings to you. I could see it at the table. Sesshoumaru never acts that way in public…….ever.”

Louna said.

“But I hate him!”

Pearl said in frustration.

“He did not hit you thinking you were a woman my dear. He thought you were his brother and like I said there is more to this story. Right now I am only telling you my side.’
“Like I said my mating was political. Touga and I did not love each other. We liked one another and we became friends. Eventually I felt some love for Touga, but it was more that of loving an elder brother.’
“We were forced to rut and when we did it was awkward and rushed. He was not a virgin, but I was and he was still somewhat inexperienced. As I said before, we were young. Quite a bit younger then you are now when I became pregnant with Sesshoumaru.”

Louna said.

Pearl listened.

“As I said before we both liked practical jokes and joking. We loved to laugh and every day was filled with laughter. However Sesshoumaru as he got older got tired of our jokes. When he was born he was a quiet baby and as he grew he was a quiet young man. For a long time we thought the gods had cursed us with a mute child.’
“Sesshoumaru seemed only happy when he was battling his Father and practicing with the sword. He loved to spar with Touga. Sesshoumaru also enjoyed tormenting the servants.’
“Sesshoumaru would demand ridiculous things from the servants just to see if they would do what he bid. It was almost like practical jokes, but it was cruel at times. We did reprimand him, but Sesshoumaru would scoff and state they were merely just servants.’
“For years we tried to get him to stop being so distant and cold. So Touga had a solution. He figured Sesshoumaru needed a sibling.’
“Well I wasn’t interested in having another pup with Touga and Touga understood that. Sesshoumaru however did not and when Touga fell in love with Izayoi Sesshoumaru lost all sense of reason.’
“It was jealousy more than anything. Sesshoumaru had Touga’s favor for years and his Father adored him. Now that Touga was in love he did not spend so much time with Sesshoumaru and when Sesshoumaru found out about you, well he lost all control going after his Father to kill him for bringing someone else in his life to take his place.”

Louna said sadly.

“But that is crazy. Touga just wanted Sesshoumaru to have a friend like you both were friends. It was crazy to bring a child into the world for that reason, but I understand why.”

Pearl said.

“Well, Sesshoumaru wanted to kill both Izayoi and you. I keep saying you, but what I really mean is he wanted to kill Inuyasha. I am sure that Inuyasha can hear me anyway since I sense his aura is here. Please forgive me if I call you Inuyasha, it is the only name I know you by.”

Louna said.

“My name is Pearl, but Inuyasha is here with me and I am taking his name for now.”

Pearl said.

“Well he went after his Father, but not before informing a certain samurai of Izayoi’s whereabouts. Takemaru of Setsuna loved Izayoi and wanted to take her as his own. He was devastated when he found out she was pregnant with Touga’s child and went to kill both her as well as you.’
“Sesshoumaru never denied his involvement in the death of Izayoi and went after his Father to kill him also. He was filled with rage and was really just hurting inside thinking his Father did not love him anymore.’
“After you were born Touga went after Takemaru and saved you as well as Izayoi before dying from his wounds as well as from the fire that Takemaru had set.’
“Sesshoumaru never got over his Father’s death. To this very day Sesshoumaru still feels that pain and that loss. He took all that pain out on Inuyasha, but at the same time Inuyasha opened Sesshoumaru’s heart.’
“Sesshoumaru could never strike a killing blow to you because deep down inside he loved you. He wanted love so much, but at the same time he was afraid of showing weakness because of it. His Father died showing love and thus he shies away from it afraid he may die if he loves someone.’
“His hands were shaking at the table Inuyasha. He practically tripped over himself on the way out the door. He is in love with you and Sesshoumaru fears it.’
“I am begging you to give him a chance. To not know love is a horrible thing. I love my son though more than anything. He is a good man, I have seen it. Please try to look into his heart.”

Louna said.

“I don’t know. I can’t say I will love him back ever, but if he doesn’t hit me I will try to give him a chance.”

Pearl said with a frown.

“Thank you.”

Louna said with tears in her eyes hugging the young woman.

“Let us go to our music lessons.”

Louna said with a smile as she tapped her fan playfully against Pearl’s leg and led her into a room where there were instruments and hand written songs.

“Do you play any of these?”

Louna asked Pearl.

“I can play that harpsichord a little. It is similar to a piano.”

Pearl said as she sat down on the bench and looked at the music.

“I can play the melody, but probably not the chords. I will need help learning those.”

Pearl said.

As Pearl played she hummed along with the melody. It was a simple tune and very pretty.

Louna smiled since in hearing the girl’s voice she knew the child could sing. That would please Sesshoumaru very much.

“Let’s try this one.”

Louna said as she helped Pearl with the chords and had her sing along. They did the song a few times not noticing Sesshoumaru had come into the room and was watching them.
