Chapter 215 - The Slayers
Tela - a spider's web, a warp, a loom, a design (Stella's Latin Challenge)Sango knew she was pulling her punches, but she was having a difficult time attacking her brother with her full strength. It wasn't the boy's fault that he was fighting her. He had no choice, and she really didn't want to cause him injury. He was trapped in Naraku's web, controlled by a jewel shard, and all she wanted to do was free him.The two slayers fought, hit for hit, and move for move, the boy throwing his chained scythe while Sango blocked it with her bone boomerang. She knew all of his moves, had trained with him for years, and so he had yet to injure her. However, she was fighting on unfamiliar terrain, and when she stepped back, she tripped over a log that lined the edge of the main road of the village. Suddenly, Kohaku was on top of her, his scythe held high over his head, ready to come down and impale her.Sango quickly rolled them, gaining the advantage, and she punched her brother in the face as hard as she could. When his body went limp, she let out a sigh of relief. She rose and brushed herself off, only to realize she was still surrounded by lower level demons who were now moving in on her. Kirara transformed and the slayer jumped on the fire cat's back. They took flight; the neko bobbing and weaving in midair while Sango threw her boomerang, taking out scores of demons with each pass. Still, they seemed endless. For every one she killed, three more took its place.The slayer cried out suddenly in shock as the chain on her brother's scythe wrapped around her arm, dragging her off of Kirara's back. She hit the ground with an 'oomph', effectively knocking the wind out of her.
