No words were spoken between them, they
did not have to. D felt her arms

encircle his chest as they continued their
journey. Something inside him had been released and he felt better than he

ever
had before. He steered the horse towards the village where Layla were buried. He
was going to tell her about

Sango, how he finally had found someone to love as
well.

Sango fell into a light sleep behind D.

She too felt content, just knowing that she was loved by this dark god made her
want to bring down the heavens for

all other living creatures. How lucky had she
not been? Stranded and wounded in a new world, she had found love. And what

a
love it was. She smiled and hugged him tighter. She could hear him chuckle a bit
and caress her hands that were

placed on his chest.

It was late afternoon when D stopped at
the edge of the village. He gently

awoke Sango from her nap. He pointed towards
the village.

-
About twenty years ago, said D and removed a few

intruding strands of
grass around the grave stone.
Sango

did not ask anything else, instead
she raised her head to see a woman around her thirties walk towards them. Sango

pulled at D�s cape and he looked up as well.

She had seen the dark figure and an old

memory came to life in the back of her head. It was Him, the dark figure that
had came to her grandmother�s burial

twenty years ago. And he looked just he had
that day.

see you again dunpeal, said the woman with a gentle voice.

see you as well, he said and bowed towards the woman.

You have a

travelling companion with you this time?

Yes, this is Sango, my�.

wife, said D and smiled towards Sango who
blushed lightly.

Nice to

meet you miss Sango, said the woman. � My name is Cordelia.

Thank

you Cordelia-san, said Sango and bowed lightly as well.
The

woman looked a bit confused but
shrugged it off.

Why are you here

Cordelia. � Will you be
staying in the village?

nodded.

Good, but I insist that you are staying with me and

my family. I have
told them about how I met you, although no one would believe me, said Cordelia.
� Plus I think I

might have some information for you about an ugly she-demon
that has begun to roam our country side.

She-demon? asked Sango, very

interested.

Yes, but let�s talk about where we are safe from

sneaking ears, said
Cordelia.
She led them back to her

house and
introduced them to her family. Cordelia�s daughter Linn�a attached herself on
Sango the whole evening. The

young four year old listened to Sango�s adventure
telling and nodded firmly when Sango silenced � she too was going to be

a slayer
and help people.
Sango ruffled the blonde hair on

the
youth�s head. Just to see a child made her wonder, was it possible for her to
have children anymore? What if this

half life she was living prevented her from
being a mother? The thought hurt a lot, but she swallowed the tears that

threatened to spill. She got an odd look from her mate but she just shook her
head. This was no time to

talk.
