To everyone! Hello again! I am so sorry to have not been able to update this in so long. I had some personal issues to deal with. As you may have noticed I seem to write best when I am miserable! LoL So forgive me for taking so very long, you guys make me so happy. Please enjoy this update. The story of the Mekharat is complete in my head I just have to put in down digitally, bear with me? Mina-san, Arigatou! Oh! And for those who are curious, this is a crossover with characters from YuYU Hakusho, however, the Mekharat and their story is entirely mine so no taking k?

The girl was sleeping. Her body bruised and exhausted from such rough play. But then, human, were so fragile. Utterly breakable in the hands of a demon such as himself. Delno turned his gaze from the crumpled form on the floor, focusing those cold eyes on the sphere before him. The Mekharat, where was she?

Damn the guardians for taking her to Makai. They were clever, keeping her cleverly hidden. For now. He didn’t believe that she had woken to her full powers as of yet. If she had, the burst would have been enormous, felt far and wide through the demon realm. A unique signature that anyone worth his salt might follow to her hiding place.

“How much longer do you have?” he murmured, taking a deep drink of his dark wine.

“How much longer will you play with such simple toys?” came a seductive voice from the shadows. Red eyes framed by long lashes locked on him.

“Mekharat” he said in cool tones, lifting his glass to her, “You look well in death.”

She sidled closer to him, her lovely face scant inches from his own, “Ah, but you would like to see me in life again”. Her fingertips ghosted against his face, an intangible touch, “And so you shall. I require only one thing, and I shall be yours.”

He straightened at her words. “Why the change of heart?” he asked, “You never wished to submit to me before.”

She smiled, a fanged smile, “Ah, but lets not pretend that you aren’t interested. I will never bow to you, never submit, but with your experience of this new world and my power…. Who is to say that we will not rule it?”

He leaned back again, his eyes narrowing as he observed her. True, his desire for her had never faded. The power of the Mekharat was a heady elixir of potent power to her demon lover, should she take one, should she gift it. It was what he had always wanted from her. No matter in physical incarnation. This one, just happened to be more desirable to him than others. “What do you require?”

She began to fade, her smile stretching wide. “The head of the current Mekharat. She is close to rising. I shall deliver to you, the means to destroy her, and her silver guardians with her.”

Then she was gone.

Lilian looked from one to the other, they stood near the hearth, sharing what news they had uncovered. “I wish you wouldn’t stand over there like that” she griped, “Makes me feel like I am some bad kid at school waiting to hear my punishment.”

Youko smirked wickedly, “Shall I spank you little Mekharat?”

She flushed at his words, making a face. “No.”

Sesshoumaru sighed, “Enough banter the both of you we have some very serious issues to discuss. I was unable to wake her.”

Youko sniffed, “Felt that.”

Sesshoumaru glared but continued speaking, “The last Mekharat came. It has to be both of us. Together.”

Youko’s eyes lit but Sesshoumaru hurried on, “Lilian has never done such a thing and it will not be rushed. That being said, we have little time to waste. The enemy scouts have been drawing closer over the last several days.”

Lilian went pale, “But we are sheltered, the barriers…”

“Only do so much. Those that venture too close are killed. They would have noticed where their men had gone missing.” Youko pointed out. He had tried his best, as had the dog lord to scatter traces of blood in all directions to mislead any who might poke too close without coming within striking range.

Sesshoumaru pinched the bridge of his nose, “And the first is apparently able to appear before others as well now. She will stop at nothing to see us fall. Damnable woman if she weren’t dead already I would finish her off.”

Youko let his pale gold eyes sweep over Lilian, noting that she looked ill. “You ok?”

She met his gaze and gave a high pitched nervous laugh before getting to her feet to pace around the room. “Great.” she told him, “Fucking outstanding! Never better! My life is amazing. I mean come on, I can’t go home, I am hunted, I don’t even know who I am anymore.

Everyone keeps waiting for me to wake up and do something incredible and I wonder if it’s really there. Not to mention that I see dead people, and I mean see them! Oh and did I throw in the fact that I have been ordered to have kinky threesome love with two hot men for the sake of the world!?”

She threw her arms into the air, looking angry as hell. “When does it end?” she demanded.

Sesshoumaru growled softly, “When your powers awake and your enemies are dead.” he said flatly.

Youko tried not to chuckle at her heated outburst. None of the issues was funny in the least, but her description was enough to amuse him. A half smile appeared on his handsome face before she noticed it. “Is it funny asshole?” she snapped.

He swallowed his smile and shook his head, though mirth remained in his eyes. “Has anything really changed from a week ago?” he asked her then. Lilian blinked owlishly at him, her brow furrowing. Youko moved to sit in a high backed chair, “Things are the same as they were before Lilian. You knew the battle was coming, we can’t hide here forever. No matter what we will see it through.”

His words were mean to comfort, but they didn’t. She looked at both of them, her eyes welling, “Yeah? The end? And what if in the end I get you both killed, worse what if I kill you?” she asked. They had no immediate answers for her and she turned and left the room.

Youko and Sesshoumaru stared at one another. They would not let her be corrupted by the first. Her heart didn’t resemble the first either which was an added relief. However, if she couldn’t be turned, they had no doubts that the first would strike against them.

“We need to awaken her.” Youko said softly.

Sesshoumaru nodded, “And we need to move.”

Youko sighed, “And you just had to mark her. Have you even explained it to her? Oh wait that wasn’t on her laundry list of outrages. Mated to an overbearing dog. How do we fix that? And don’t think I am just going to sit by and let you have her. I nearly marked her myself.. At least I had control not to.”

Sesshoumaru snarled loudly, “Leave it Fox! It’s done. Join if you like. That woman is my mate, my human mate, my Mekharat mate and we may very well see her fall. Don’t presume to lecture me at this point.”

Youko shook his head, laying his hand on his friend’s shoulder, “We just never learn do we?”

Lilian sat in the spring, feeling the hot water move against her. Nearly scalding her flesh, as her tears scalded her cheeks. “I just never learn do I?” she whispered. Not knowing they had heard her.

“It would seem not”. The first muttered darkly from the pool’s edge, “Clumsy girl what have you done?” she gestured to Lilian with disgust, “His mark on you, his scent on you. A demon’s mate, a demon’s whore.”

Lilian blinked at her, “What the hell do you want?”

The first smiled sadly at her, the first touch of emotion other than anger that Lilian had ever seen, “I had hoped to save you from this pain child. But you refused to heed my words and now you are bound forever. You must bow to him to his whims, his…perversions. It has already begun has it not?”

Lilian looked away, “Go away. I don’t need help from someone who hates herself so much that she lashes out at others.”

The first rose to her feet, “So be it, but when his true nature is revealed, call for me and I shall help you back to freedom.”

Lilian stared at the empty spot where the woman had stood. Her mind clouded and confused. Usually the first was acerbic and hateful, this time she seemed genuinely saddened by what was happening. Lilian didn’t trust her in the least, but those words…..

Bow to him. Whims, perversions……..

He hadn’t asked her if she wanted to be his mate. She wondered if she would have denied him if he had. She doubted it. She wasn’t certain how he felt about her, but she was certain of her feelings for both of them. Equal feelings. She should have had a choice in this, but he’d made it for them both. Damn him. What was she supposed to do with that?

They were waiting for her when she returned to the shared chamber late that night. She had stayed in the hot water so long she had pruned and made herself dizzy. She had been forced to lay on the cooler ledge and sip cold water until she felt less sick.

Sesshoumaru had felt her distress of course and it took every ounce of his control and considerable argument from Youko to leave her be. She didn’t look at them as she closed the door.

“Are you feeling better?” Sesshoumaru asked.

She blinked, keeping her eyes on the floor. “Yeah, thanks.”

Her unease was palpable but she crossed the room to the bed. She sat on the end of the large coverlet. “Why did you do it? Why’d you mark me?”

He was silent for long minutes, waiting patiently for her to lift her eyes to him. When she did, he spoke, “Even I am not certain of all the factors of my decision, I want you. It is usually done with the permission of the chosen female however. This Sesshoumaru will not apologize for taking you as my own.”

She looked away, “Those are really heartwarming words. You really are a charmer” she said dryly.

Sesshoumaru blinked, “You wish for pretty words Lilian?” he asked her plainly, “Do words lock a heart to you? Are they binding? A human man might offer you pretty words. I have offered you forever. Would you trade one for the other?”. He knew she wasn’t so shallow.

“No” she muttered, “But a choice would have been nice. What if I don’t want you?”

He growled softly at her, his beast irritated that she could even think such a thing. “You don’t?” he demanded of her.

She lifted her hands to her head as though it ached, “I do, but I wanted to be able to say that.” she snapped at him. He calmed almost instantly. He leaned towards her, his clawed fingers reaching out to gently touch against the wound he had inflicted. “Will you accept my mark?” he asked her.

She met his eyes, “If I say no can you remove it?”. Her anger was nearly gone. Now she just needed to understand his intentions. He felt that from her.

He smirked, “No. But I can protect certain parts of my anatomy until you are no longer angry.” She arched a brow at that.

“If I had asked you?” he pressed.

Lilian gestured to Youko, “And what about him?” she asked.

Sesshoumaru shrugged, “If you want both, Lilian you may have both.”

She went beet red, “Wha…?”

Youko nodded, “It is not uncommon in the demon realm to have more than one mate. Is that what you want?”

She swallowed hard. Yes! That was what she wanted, but that wasn’t fair to either one of them. If she said so, would he do it just to make her happy? Hadn’t she taken issue at Sesshoumaru making such decisions without her?

She looked at the kitsune with a sad sigh, “What do you want?” she asked.

His silver brow lifted, “Honestly?”

She nodded, “Of course.”

He grinned wickedly, “I want you here naked between us. Now.”

She grew hot at his words, “Can you be serious?” she whispered, feeling her cheeks heat, her heart race.

He shrugged out of his top, “I am being serious. I want you Lilian if you accept me, I will mark you tonight. If you prefer to wait until it’s less…crowded…. Then that is fine with me as well.”

She bit her lower lip, “You know… in the human world these things, just aren’t done.”

Youko snorted softly, “They are love, believe me. You just didn’t do them.”

She chuckled at his knowing remark. “Man whore.”

He feigned hurt, “I prefer to call my self a carnal connoisseur. Now then, climb up here and we will tell you about demon marks. You are curious yes?”

She nodded, crawling over his long legs to settle between them. Once she was safely ensconced in their arms, Sesshoumaru pressed a kiss to her mark.

She gasped at the wave of sensation the simple action caused. ‘What is that?’

Youko laughed delighted as her hand tightened on his own. “That is the connection of mates. The mark will always remain sensitive, the sacred link between a male and his female. No one can sully it without fear of death. A painful one at that.”

Sesshoumaru lapped softly at it again, “The one who bears the mark is given the same respect as the one who marked her deserves. Among demons, rank is very important, you now bear my rank in social standing. My power and strength is yours to call upon. My wealth, prestige, everything I have is equally conferred onto you.”

She leaned against him, feeling Youko fiddle with the ties of her robes. “It really is like a marriage isn’t it?” she asked them. Sesshoumaru nodded behind her.

“A very long one.” Youko added, “Your life is bound to his now. When I mark you, that tie will split three ways. If one dies, we all die or go mad. Our hearts won’t stand the loss of the other for long.”

She thought about that. “The last Mekharat…” she murmured.

He nodded, “Her mate killed her and it drove him mad. He cannot find comfort with another. He longs for the day when they can reunite.”

She felt her tears prick in her eyes. Sesshoumaru rumbled softly to her, “Pretty enough words for you mate?” he asked quietly. She lay back at his insistence and nodded.

His mouth was on hers then, burning away her hurt, fears, doubts. She was only half aware of skilled hands roving over her, pulling her robe away from her and then from under her. Sesshoumaru lifted her so that the silk could be drawn away.

Sesshoumaru lifted his head breaking the kiss and met her eyes, his own golden ones glowing eerily in the light. “Be with us”. She barely managed a single nod before Youko attacked her mouth as Sesshoumaru slid lower nipping at her breasts.

She cried out as his hand slid over her mark as he suckled her, Youko drinking those cries in greedy gulps. He pulled back as he felt a slight tremor of unease run through her. “Don’t be afraid Lilian” he soothed, “We aren’t going to do anything more than we have already done with your body, we are simply getting you used to having so many hands on you at once. You have to be trained so to speak, prepared carefully. We will finish it tomorrow”.

Content that nothing new was being thrust on her shoulders just yet, she surrendered herself to their loving hands and mouths. Offering her own up in return. How she loved them. How it made her heart ache.
