Dear Readers,
It has been a while since I got back to this story. It is kind of my tale of Beauty and the Beast. Sesshoumaru being the beast in this is pretty damn mean and awful, but hopefully there will be a cure for him soon.
Shiro and Inuyasha have also been stuck in the woods for a while and I want to make it so they are traveling once again. The two are a wonderful couple and I love Shiro in this story. He is a beautiful loving man with a good heart.
I don’t plan on making this story very long so most likely after the pups are born I will end this one, but I do hope you enjoy what I have written so far.

Sesshoumaru was still out cold when morning arrived. His body had needed the extra rest so he could heal. I tried to sleep in with him, but the sun was shining practically in my face making me wish we had curtains over the bed.
The sunlight reflected off of Sesshoumaru’s beautiful hair making it shimmer like white silver metal. I also noticed that for a change Sesshoumaru’s face was completely relaxed. He looked like an Angel to me although I knew from experience he was no heavenly being.
I knew if I moved he would awaken so I tried my best to hold still and rest a while longer with him. I thought about how much blood he had lost and I figured that a good portion of that black blood was gone.
Sesshoumaru stirred from his slumber and soon awoke feeling still quite sore although better than the day before. His Karei was resting next to him with her eyes open looking into his eyes. Sesshoumaru leaned down and kissed his beautiful mate.
The healer came to check on Sesshoumaru after studying a bit of his black blood. It was almost like thick tar as it had killed the demon leeches that had fed on it because of it being so thick. It was hard to believe Sesshoumaru had been filled with this blood and lived.
“My Lord, your Mother will be coming today to transfer blood to you. I did study the black blood you have been spewing and it seems to have not only a thick viscous feel to it, it also carry’s pure evil in it. I don’t know how much more you have in you, but it is best if we can find a way to get it all out. I believe you almost seemed to be suffering from an old curse.’
“I looked up scrolls in the library and there was a spell that was meant to make a newborn’s blood run cold to silence them at birth from crying so much. I believe this is the after effects of this spell since when you were born you did suffer greatly crying almost constantly unable to hold your Mother’s milk down. I believe this spell was used to insure you fed and were able to be strong enough to survive the first few years of your life. However there is an after affect that causes this ice blood to turn black and full of evil if the spell is not removed at a certain time. I believe your Mother and Father did not know of the removal spell thus your evil nature is not one hundred percent of your doing.’
“I will try to find the spell to remove this curse from you since as long as it is in place you may be constantly regenerating this black blood even with your Mother’s help. I am also going to petition the other healers in the lands to see if they might know of a way to remove the curse.”
The healer said and Sesshoumaru nodded as he knew if the curse was not lifted he would always be weak and hateful. The thing that bothered him the most was his Mother and Father had blamed him for his cold nature, but this was their doing. So far the light of compassion that his Father had infused into his person was working against the black blood and the light of humility was also fighting it. However it made Sesshoumaru frustrated since he never asked for this curse.
“Sire, I believe we shall try a few things today. I do have some spells that will make the pain lessen and I am going to suggest you take things easy for a while. You need plenty of rest for the amounts of blood you lost. The blood itself killed the demon leeches I have been using to cure you and I will have to gather more so I will be gone for most of the day today. I am also going to search for blood thinning remedies as the thickness of this blood disturbs me. Really you are lucky to be breathing young man.”
The healer said as he left the room with Sesshoumaru frowning at having to be lethargic for the majority of the time. He did not want to just lie around waiting for a cure. He wanted to be out searching for one also even if he had to kill to get it.
“Karei, I am going to go to my Father’s private library for a while. Get dressed and go to the Matron for your studies. I do not wish to be disturbed while I study to find a cure to this illness. Perhaps my Father has it hidden. If my Mother comes tell her where I am and send her to me. She knows where my Father’s library is and maybe she has the cure at her castle if he does not have it here.”
Sesshoumaru said as he pulled the cord to call the servants to come dress them for the day. Sesshoumaru was still very sore, but he needed to do this. If he was cursed he needed the curse removed before it consumed him again. For the first time in years he was able to think clearly without feeling hate or anger so he wanted to focus while he still could.
I was dressed in another Chinese kimono with white cherry blossoms on a black silk background. My obi was also white and rather than having bare feet as always zeta shoes were placed on my feet with my finding them odd feeling as I had never worn such before.
Sesshoumaru was placed in a blue kimono with white floral designs upon it and also a white obi although he did forgo his boots today. He was going to be studying and wanted to be comfortable since he was not leaving the castle until he found what he was looking for today.
As I headed to the Matron’s my wooden shoes seemed to clank on the floor which was rather annoying sounding to me. I definitely preferred going without shoes.
Sesshoumaru went immediately into his Father’s private library and started going over scroll after scroll trying to find anything that would work to remove this curse. Sesshoumaru was in some ways quite angry with his parents for doing this shit to him, but for now he had to stay focused. There were too many things that could go wrong with spells like this one and finding a cure was what Sesshoumaru hoped for.
After a few hours passed of finding nothing useful, Sesshoumaru’s Mother arrived to see if she could help her son as well as punish him for fighting with Shiro and harming his mate. Mother first found Kimi who was learning a new language just in case dignitaries came and she was forced to converse with any of them. The Matron assumed Lord Sesshoumaru most likely would not let Kimi speak to anyone, but there was always the possibility of her having to at least acknowledge the courtiers from other countries.
“Kimi, where is my son?”
Sesshoumaru’s Mother asked me as I let her know he was in his Father’s private library. She left then to go confront her son about his behavior and find out where the healer went as she came to give her blood to her son.
When Mother arrived to see Sesshoumaru she found him sitting looking tired and desperate as he was reading all he could about curses and spells trying to find a cure.
“Sesshoumaru. I am here to speak to you about a few things and when the healer returns to give you some of my blood.”
Mother said and Sesshoumaru looked up from the book angrily at his Mother.
“That is fine since I have a few things I would like to say to you Mother and Father if he is available.”
Sesshoumaru said angrily.
“You will not take that tone with me young man. Just so you are aware you are currently grounded. I am taking away a few things from you. Kimi being one of them until you can grow up and be a man. She may be a hanyou, but she is a Princess of the East and you were warned. I shall educate your mate properly and she will not suffer you for a good month. I warned you not to harm women or attack the Lord of the East.   You were to follow the treaty to the letter and you are failing in that Sesshoumaru.”
Mother said and Sesshoumaru fumed.
“Perhaps if you had not cursed me when I was an infant I would not be this way! You and Father cursed me Mother! You have ruined most of my life and now you blame me for the way I act! The black blood in my veins is your and Father’s fault! You put a spell on me as an infant and never took it off!’
“The healer told me of this! I am lucky I am not dead because of you two! You want me to change well that is fine except for the fact you made me this way! You created me!’
“Take Kimi with you for a month! Take everything from me! I don’t care anymore! Unless you can cure me I am destined to be evil forever and that alone will kill me with the second curse that Father put on me! Just know when I do die that you are the ones who destroyed me!”
Sesshoumaru roared as he coughed up the black blood feeling such hate in his heart for his parents for doing this shit to him. Sesshoumaru tried to get up only for more blood to come out and eventually from the massive blood loss plus the pain he passed out on the floor with his Mother trying to catch him before he hit his head.
Mother yelled for help as the guards came to carry their Lord to his bedchambers. Mother had the servants come to clean him off and sent a servant to rush to get the healer. The servants propped Sesshoumaru up as black blood gushed from Sesshoumaru’s mouth. I rushed into the room getting rags to clean up Sesshoumaru with as I took off his haori. I held a bowl under Sesshoumaru’s chin as I tilted his head so that the blood would spill into the bowl and not back down his throat to drown him. There was a lot of blood and it wasn’t stopping.
“I don’t know what to do! It is not stopping! Sesshoumaru please wake up!”
I sobbed as I kissed his forehead and shook him a bit trying to get him to open his eyes. I knew if I did not wake him soon he would die.
The healer soon arrived and took a needle and syringe like tube filling it with something than he had me move a bit as he shoved the very thick needle into Sesshoumaru pushing in the substance as Sesshoumaru suddenly woke feeling such pain it was unreal. His head hurt and his body felt very weak.
“Sesshoumaru please stop feeling hate! You need to stop or you will die!”
I begged as I held him tightly with tears pouring down my face.
“Karei…………”
Sesshoumaru gurgled out as he spit out the blood and focused on his mate.
“Please, I love you. Don’t die on me………..”
I sobbed as I held my mate who could not move, but was grateful his Karei was with him. Sesshoumaru was so tired and so frustrated. Right now it would not take much to kill him as he was weaker than he had ever been in his life.
“We need to find a cure to his curse.   Any more incidents like this and he will die.”
The healer said and Mother nodded as she worriedly looked at her only living child.
“He said that the spell we used on him as an infant is the cause of this. Is that true Kinjo?”
Mother asked the healer.
“Yes, the blood has been slowly building in his veins into this black sludge like mass of pure evil. His blood is so thick that it surprises me he can function so well. I gathered the herbs needed to thin it out a bit so that should help, but I was unable to gather more leeches. I need to go back for them, but for now we need to get blood into him. I have a method of using tubes to pull out blood and push it into Sesshoumaru, but it is going to take time and he needs a lot of it. We need to petition his brother to come offer some of his blood as well to save Lord Sesshoumaru’s life.”
Kinjo said as he took out the needle from Sesshoumaru’s arm after pumping in the herbs for thinning out his blood a bit.
Sesshoumaru was trying hard to stay awake, but he was so tired and he felt completely miserable.
“Lord Sesshoumaru you have to stay awake for a while. At least until I get you some more blood.”
Using the tubes as planned Kinjo inserted a needle into Sesshoumaru’s arm and then did the same with Sesshoumaru’s Mother. Slowly he pumped the blood into the jar from Louna and transferred it to Sesshoumaru. It was an experimental process he had tried on animals and it seemed to work.
I cleaned off Sesshoumaru’s face and body as I held my dear mate while the healer talked to Sesshoumaru trying to keep him awake. I would ask Inuyasha to share his blood with his brother. I would take a horse and travel to the Eastern Lands to see my brother and bring Inuyasha back with me. I had to help Sesshoumaru since I did not want my mate to die. Perhaps even my brother could find the cure to this curse if we could not find it.
After the blood was transferred to Sesshoumaru he finally fell asleep. I then told his Mother and Kinjo my plan as Mother insisted I take some guards with me.
Four horses were saddled and ready for us to ride to the Eastern Lands, there was no time to waste as I set the horse to a full gallop as we raced to the castle where my brother resided. I hoped that I would not be too late.

Shiro and Inuyasha traveled a bit further before stopping at the river again for the horses and for themselves to get a little bit of water. They should be to the hanyou village soon according to Shiro as on horseback it only took a day and a half to get there at the pace they were traveling.
Neither man was in a big hurry as they were enjoying the journey there as they soon saw the outlines of the village in the distance. Along the way there were cherry trees and wild berries Inuyasha insisted on stopping to pick as he climbed the tree making Shiro almost laugh as the boy was like a little monkey with the way he jumped from branch to branch picking the ripest and best cherries he could find eating them as he went along getting cherry juice on his fingers and face a bit.
Shiro smiled up at Inuyasha as Inuyasha asked him if he wanted some of the cherries with Shiro saying no this time and to just enjoy himself. Inuyasha loved being up in the trees as it was much more comfortable than sitting on the horse.
After an hour of climbing, sitting, and eating cherries until he would burst Inuyasha jumped down then went to the river to wash off his face and hands. The wild cherries had been so sweet and delicious that Inuyasha hoped when they got to the village he wanted to buy a bag to pick more so he could take them with him. He also wanted to pick the wild berries he had seen.
Shiro thought Inuyasha was so cute as he still had some cherry juice on his lips that had stained them a bit red. It made Shiro want to kiss him as Shiro planned on them staying at an inn tonight to enjoy the village and its wonders. It was a large village and there were some beautiful geishas that were at the inn that would feed them and pamper them. They had hot baths to soak in and Shiro wanted to enjoy his time here with Inuyasha. He hoped to talk Inuyasha into a night with one of the pretty hanyou girls since he felt Inuyasha deserved to enjoy himself with a woman once in a while and these females liked handsome young males.
When they got to the village there were people everywhere. Hanyous, demons, and humans all were walking along the streets living in harmony with each other. It was almost as big as a city as there were shops, two large inns, and a ton of homes.
“It has grown since I last came here Inuyasha. However we shall meet up with the Lord of the village who is one of my many advisors.”
Shiro said as he led the horses into the village while people bowed to the two Lords as they passed with children running everywhere.
When they got to the biggest house in the city they had a stable boy take their horses as Shiro went up to the house and knocked.   A huge bear demon answered the door and smiled wide in joy as he greeted his Lord.
“Lord Shiro it is good to see you! It has been a while my old friend!”
The bear demon said joyfully as he invited both Shiro and Inuyasha inside.
“It is good to be seen Hiro. This is my mate Lord Inuyasha. He is my second in command and will be helping to rule over the East with my guidance.”
Shiro said as Hiro smirked at the little half demon who felt dwarfed by this man.
“You always did pick the pretty ones. I never thought you would settle down Lord Shiro.”
Hiro said as he offered them a place to sit by the fire and had his own mate gather tea for the three of them.
“I haven’t quite settled down, but I am happily mated now. Inuyasha is a true uke and thus he will be birthing pups soon so I figure we should visit while we can.”
Shiro said and Hiro smirked.
“A true uke you say. You are a very lucky man since such a thing is so rare. I hope you treasure him since many will try to take him away from you when the pups are born. Especially with such a beautiful boy since not all hanyous are as lucky as your mate.”
Hiro said as he had his little human mate sit with them. She was quite tiny compared to the bear demon and somewhat shy.
“Well he will be baring a litter of ten pups for his first.”
Shiro said and Hiro’s eyes went wide.
“Really, that many? I am so sorry Lord Inuyasha. You have my deepest sympathies since that is quite the load of pups for any Inu let alone an Inuhanyou. You are so small too and I just can’t imagine the amount of youkai that is going to draw off of you. You must be exceptionally powerful little one.”
Hiro said and Inuyasha blushed a bit.
“I don’t know about powerful, but I plan on having all the pups so I am going to do this. Besides I am not fully a hanyou any longer.”
Inuyasha said as he sipped his tea finding it to be quite good.
“Well Lord Shiro how long do you plan to stay in our village this time? I hope for a few days at least since I know you tend to travel often. I also know Lord Yoshi from the city further north of here would love to see you as well.”
Hiro said as he did hope to have Shiro here for a few days. He wanted Shiro to meet his daughter and her brother who had grown quite a bit since he left so many years ago.
“Unfortunately we are only going to be here for two nights. I only brought enough gold for a short visit. Inuyasha and I need to get back to my castle after this since the taxes will be coming in as well as my other advisors coming to visit me. I want Inuyasha to meet everyone. I also have invites for you to his mating ball. I am only inviting a few select friends to the ball since he is rather shy about meeting our local royalty. I don’t need him overwhelmed by too many people with his pregnancy being a delicate one.”
Shiro said as Hiro nodded and Shiro handed him the invite.   The other invitations were being sent out by messenger so there would be a large enough crowd with the few people who were coming.
“Well you are welcome to stay with us while you are here. We have space and you know we always enjoy your visits.”
Hiro said and Shiro appreciated the offer, but wanted to take Inuyasha to see the geishas.
“I appreciate that, but we are going to stay at the inn to the north of the city. Inuyasha has never been there and I want him to experience the atmosphere as well as meet the lovely geishas that help run that establishment.”
Shiro said and Hiro chuckled at that.
“You just came for the women you old dog you.”
Hiro said with a laugh. Shiro was so very predictable much like his Father had been.
“I did come to see them, but there are other things too. Inuyasha needs to experience many things he has not before as he is still young. I want before he has the pups to see as much of these lands and people as I can offer him. After the pups are born we will not have as much time to travel and do these things.”
Shiro said with Inuyasha feeling anxious at this point to get ready to leave again.   Inuyasha wasn’t much for sitting still for too long of periods of time.
Inuyasha listened to Shiro talk to Hiro for a while longer before he started to get bored. Shiro was talking politics a bit now and Inuyasha did not understand half that crap. He tried to listen, but it was so boring. Who cared what the Emperor of humans thought? It wasn’t like he had any say so in demon business. Demons owned the majority of the land as it was and although in Kagome’s time there were more humans than anything else Inuyasha knew that was hundreds of years into the future.
Thinking about the future Inuyasha figured he would tell Shiro what he knew of it. It was really too bad Kagome was such a fucking bitch since she could teach them all a ton of things. Inuyasha had to admit indoor plumbing was one thing he did look forward to in the future.
Finally Shiro was done talking and although he tried to get Inuyasha involved in the conversation, Inuyasha really did not know much as far as what Shiro was speaking of. He did not really understand a lot when it came to politics and definitely not when it came to anything human related to politics other than basic laws of the land. Shiro told Inuyasha not to worry since he would educate him on all these things since it was important to keep up with the times even in human matters.
To be honest Inuyasha felt it was best to probably get rid of as many humans as possible so that demon kind did not get wiped out, but now that Naraku was gone demons were being killed more often by humans or being wiped out by their own kinds as they had their own wars against each other. Inuyasha knew Shiro talked about having them travel to destroy bandits and other evil doers in the areas of their lands to help their people, but in some ways it was good to have a few evil doers about in order to maintain some balance. Really Inuyasha felt they should at least allow humans to kill each other more often. A world without demons like Kagome’s kind of scared Inuyasha since he did not want demons to disappear.
Not having some demons around was no problem for Inuyasha since some were a problem to him and his kind. However he did not want to go around saving humans anymore if he did not have to. It would be awesome if this place Kagome lived was some kind of alternate universe where there were no demons and that this world he lived in now was always going to have demons in it forever, but somehow Inuyasha thought they were probably not going to be that lucky.
As soon as they left Shiro took Inuyasha first to some of the little shops where they found things like food stuffs, clothing, supplies for homes and travel, artworks, crafts, and animals. Inuyasha liked the puppies for sale and wanted one as he picked up the little fuzzy female Japanese Spitz and pet her. Shiro said that Inuyasha could have the puppy, but to wait until after they left the village before buying her since he had other things to show him.
They bought food from a local vendors and ate before Shiro insisted they go to the inn he wanted to go to. By then it was getting dark and Inuyasha was indeed ready for a nice long bath and relaxation. Shiro introduced Inuyasha to the owner of the inn who was a good friend of his who gave them the best room pretty much for free since Shiro had done so much for the village. However the women did cost a bit and Shiro was fine with that. He was going to pay for the two prettiest females to entertain both he and Inuyasha for the night as well as bathe them which Inuyasha looked forward to the baths since he felt he needed one.
Shiro took Inuyasha to their room first to show him the fine place they would be staying for the night. Inuyasha liked the room and looked forward to a night on silken sheets on a nice futon rather than on the ground. Shiro wanted to take advantage of the room before they went to the baths so he started to kiss Inuyasha to get the boy into the mood.
