Miroku, a bit ahead of Annabelle, has put his golden stick between her and the terrifying scene. "Please, Anna-hime, move away" he protectivly asked, yet, she ignored and insisted on approaching the dreadful trio. Kagura aimed her fan to the western woman, then Naraku held her arm, interrupting any move.
While that mess of endless things happening at the same time was enduring, Kagome shot an arrow into Kanna's mirror and it became to shatter. She had to free all souls kept inside the object, or it would break into pieces.
What happened after was a succession of events Anna couldn't discern, for in her mind distinguished images from past and present were oscillating. If the monk didn't have pushed her away, she would surely have been swallowed by his Kazaana and wouldn't even notice.

"You are forsaking me" Kagewaki's voice echoed inside her dreams once more, torturing her till awakening time. "It is inevitable, Annabelle Rose. You belong to me" and soon Hitomi's usurper's speech would suppress his own, making her burden even heavier to carry.
The morning's clarity made her eyes open at last, she turned to the side, still laying over the straw bed, and saw a harmed Sango nearby. Kagome was taking care of the Demon Slayer wounds while Miroku was putting bondages on Inuyasha's injuries. Still dizzy, Anna sat and held her own head with two hands.
"How are you feeling, Anna?" Kagome asked, showing some concern.
"I'm alright. What he did to all of you?" She asked anxiously.
"The Kaze no Kizu, Tetsusaiga's attack, was reflected by that yokai's mirror and hit Inuyasha". Miroku told. "Naraku is becoming more powerful each day, now he can give life to these incarnations, all because he has the jewel almost complete in his hands". Before he could say anything about the Miko who helped the Spider to achieve more shards, Inuyasha eyed him, grumpy as ever.
"It was that priestess!" Annabelle said without having to hear from them though. Suddenly a blur remembrance got clear, when the lass has been at Naraku's castle she saw Kikyo sometimes. "I remember, when Naraku kidnapped me, that woman used to come and deliver him some shards".
"And you're telling this to us just now?!" The hanyo scolded her.
"I..." She looked at everyone of them. Their silence and surprised features were oppressive. "I'm so sorry..." Anna felt like her throat was closing, yet it was necessary to make things clear. "On that occasion, I was still numbed for Ailyn's potion sake, many moments of those days are nothing but blurred images inside my mind, yet I do recall seeing that woman with Naraku, she threw some fragments of that jewel on his feet..."
"Keh!" Inuyasha turned his face and cursed. "I doubt that"! Then he stood up clumsily and stepped out of the hut.
"Inuyasha, wait! You're still recovering" Miroku went after the hanyo.
"Anna, is that true?" Kagome asked, her eyes showing shades of disappointment.
"Why would I lie?" Anna sighed "Now that the subject has been mentioned, this memory came to my mind. I feel awful for forgetting such an important detail!" She slapped her sweating forehead.
"And who can blame you?" Sango rested her back against the wall "You have been through a lot, like all of us".
"Even knowing Kikyo helped Naraku, Inuyasha just can't stop thinking of her..." Kagome breathed slowly. "I'm sure that he went out that way just to find her, not even caring about he's wounded and vulnerable". She spoke in such a sorrowful way that made Annabelle's heart ache.
"Oh, Kagome... I can imagine how painful this must be to you... It's just..." She searched the right words to say it, and then proceeded 'There are certain feelings which are stronger than our reason. Inuyasha just can't help it". That speech definitely didn't work like a consolation, in fact that was far more a confession out of context, and no one but she has noticed. Nevertheless, soon Anna realized Kagome's gaze became sadder than before. So, she came near of her friend, sat by her side and gently held her. "Yet, I know he really worships you. It's crystal clear in his features".
Even if her whole soul was a mess within, Annabelle put a tender smile on her face, that Kagome retrieved with another, just a bit shy.
"I will find those two". The ginger lass stood by her feet.
"Anna..." Sango's look denounced she was preoccupied about Annabelle's leaving.
"Don't worry, you know I can take care of myself. Sango, when I return I'll heal your wounds. Inuyasha is too proud for receiving my help, but you won't scape from my caring. Right?" Although she was smiling and speaking playfully, her eyes were showing an odd blankness. "I'll see you soon" Anna waved her hand, passing through the door fastly, giving them no time to say any other thing.
"She is not well at all" The Demon Slayer commented.
"Yesterday, after all that happened, Anna was so apathetic... It didn't matter how many times we would speak, or shake her shoulders, she simply wouldn't answer" Kagome recalled. "She kept isolated most part of the night, staring to nowhere, so pale... What must have happened to her?"
Sango and Kagome looked at one another, both thoughtful about their foreigner companion. Then, they heard feet walking over the grass, approaching their humble shelter.
"Well, I am back" Miroku announced himself. Shippo was over his right shoulder, Kirara on the top of the left's. In his hands there was a wooden bucket which the little fox demon had filled with water. "Inuyasha's stubbornness is so tiring" He complained while sighing, and finally the monk looked around the hut, blinking his half widened eyes. "Where is Anna-hime?"

She walked as fast as she could, gasping for feeling exhausted and deeply frustrated. Her mind was burning with endless divagations, and there was a name carved on each one of them. The name of the one who was tainting, raging her senses. The one who was cloistering Annabelle into that lunacy.
Naraku.
I can't go on like this... Anna felt so ashamed of hiding what she had done from those friendly people. It was like she was the worst liar of all, taking advantage of their good intentions.
They helped me to regain my will of living, and that's how I retrieve their kindness, running to their worst enemy's arms at the first chance... Guilt was consuming her like a disease.
Running into Hitomi's murderer arms.
And then Annabelle didn't have any clue of what of her betrayals should cause more pain into her heart. How could she possibly did not think about her once beloved, when letting Naraku almost possess her body? How could she did not think about the consequences? Her legs oscillated, knees got weaker for a while. Every inch of Anna trembled as she thought about Inuyasha's promises of ending Naraku's existence. It was the quest of the inuhanyo's and his friends life. Would she be able to watch Naraku's demise and do nothing?
I do not want him to die. At last, she had to admit. Her anger was huge, indeed, and even so there was another feeling revolving inside of Annabelle's depths. Cold ran underneath her skin, paralyzing her movements.
Then, suddenly Anna saw light-blue spheres floating in the middle of the foggy forest and regained the power of her joints just to follow them, hiding between the trees. At last, Anna had the view of two lovers talking about the recent events.
Kikyo and Inuyasha. Their gazes crossed were baring nostalgia of such a tragic past time. Even Inuyasha had the knowledge about Kikyo's actions, his eyes stared at her in a protective, tender way.
Finally, their subject change:
"Be careful with the red-haired woman. She is Naraku's mate". That miko's warning made Annabelle froze in place, behind a tree.
"What is this nonsense, Kikyo?" He arched one eyebrow in disbelief, almost laughing of such possibility.
He didn't sense my scent yet... Annabelle caught her breath, one hand laying over her throbbing chest.
"While you and your friends were risking your lives fighting against Naraku's incarnations, they were together sharing voluptuous kisses and caresses, hidden into the forest's depths. I saw them with my own eyes." The priestess' report made Inuyasha's cheek blush just for trying to imagine such scene.
"No, it's not possible, I don't believe in it! It's disgusting!" His silver head shook frantically to the sides in a denial sign.
"If you think I am lying, Why don't you ask her, then?" Those dark, rounded eyes pointed to a tree right ahead.
So, a trembling and pale Annabelle revealed herself, leaving behind of that huge trunk. Inuyasha turned to her, amber and turquoise globes widened, their shine shimmying. The western woman wanted to speak, yet no sound reverberated from her gullet.
"Anna, is it true?" He asked, no answer came though. Yet the look on her face was enough to enrage him. "Answer me!" Inuyasha yelled. "You and Naraku?!"
Those aurum orbs were staring at her like cruel judges and she knew there was nowhere to run. Wouldn't be fair to hide the truth from him, and Annabelle would never invent any lie. However it could be more painful than a thousand stabbings, however hard it was to find air to breath, and to get strength to maintain her burning eyes dry, her mouth would open and whatever word she would choose could potentially be her last.
