A/N: Sorry it took so long, I have been really busy.� I know this chapter is a little short and I
apologize, but I figured this would be a good stopping point.� Hope you like and thank you to all who have
reviewed.� The final part of the fight
isn�t as good as I hoped, but I figured there was plenty of action from the
previous chapter, sorry if I let any of you down on this.
Chapter 25
�Deal,� Kagome said smirking.
Naraku felt a little
nervous noticing how calm she seemed.� He knew she had to
have a plan and he wasn�t sure if he liked it, but the deal was done.� He quickly shook it off and smirked back at
her, trying not to show how nervous he was.
�Your move Naraku,� she said.
He sent out a wave of tentacles which disintegrated as soon
as they hit the barrier around her friends.�
Naraku growled in anger and sent another set
of tentacles toward the miko only to be shocked when
she swept them away like flies.� Naraku kept attacking becoming angrier as each attack was
deflected.� Kagome knew that he was getting
mad and therefore he was making more mistakes.
Naraku growled and unleashed his full
form.� Kagome dropped the barrier and
flew at him.� They all attacked, hacking
off tentacles.� Kagome landed next to Sesshomaru her wings disappearing and they began to attack
together.� They all surrounded him.� The Shichinitai all
gathered and attacked with their swords.�
Bankotsu jumped up driving Banryu
into Naraku slicing him as he slid back down.
Naraku howled in pain and lashed out at the
mercenaries impaling Suikotsu with one of his
tentacles.� While he was focused on them Sesshomaru threw Kagome into the air and she spun her sword
slicing across Naraku�s chest.� Sesshomaru caught
her and together they ran up the tentacles running their blades through the
spider�s abdomen.� He growled and swung
sending them both falling to the ground.
Inu no Taisho watched as they flipped
and easily landed on their feet.� He then
flew up into the air driving his knee into Naraku�s
abdomen then flipping kicking him right under his chin.� He landed back on the ground and swung Sounga just in time to cut off a tentacle that flew towards
him.�� Inuyasha
and Kouga were attacking from the right hacking away
at tentacles.�
Naraku was absolutely furious by now and
Kagome knew it.� She let her wings loose
and flew back into the air obliterating any tentacle that drew near.� She put the barrier back up around her
family.� She noticed that Suikotsu was dead and the other two mercenaries were
drawing near death as well.� Everyone was
injured and she knew that it was now or never.
�Get ready and gather all of your
energy to attack,� Kagome told the others.
She continued to float over the group and could feel the
energy building from her friends.� She
couldn�t help but smirk, Naraku had no idea what was
about to hit him.
�Now!� she ordered.
�Dragon Twister!�
�Windscar!�
�Dragon Fire!�
�Tiger�s Roar!�
Kagome dropped the barrier, �Miko�s
Light!� she yelled sending out her attack from the sky.
Naraku�s eyes widened as he saw the attacks
swirl together coming toward him.� He was
frozen, unable to move as he watched the attack draw near.� The light turned into a massive dragon of
pure energy and he knew he would not survive this attack.� The force of the energy was unlike anything
he had ever felt.� It was so powerful,
his eyes widened as the energy surrounded him and he screamed as his body
disintegrated into dust.
�How did she become so powerful?� he asked as his life ended.
Everyone watched as the dragon surrounded Naraku.� The light grew brighter as it hit its
target.� They could hear Naraku scream in agony, but they were unable to see what
was happening through the light.� After a
few minutes the screams died down and the light faded only to reveal dust.
�Did we get him?� Inuyasha asked
looking around.
�Yes, Naraku is finally gone
forever,� Kagome said floating down to the ground.
Kagome pulled the jewel out of her pocket and then the shards
she had left.� They watched as she melded
the shards into the jewel to complete it.�
When Kagome looked back up at them she was smiling, but they could tell
by the look in her eyes that something was wrong.
�I love you all, now I must make the wish.�
Sesshomaru felt a cold chill go up his
spine.� Something was wrong, she looked
like she was saying goodbye.� Kagome held
up the jewel.
�I wish that everyone that Naraku
killed through his own actions or the use of others would come back to life for
a second chance.�
They all watched in shock as an orb of light appeared before
Kagome taking a human form.
�Kagome, you know that to carry out this wish you own energy
will be needed as well, the chances are that you will not survive.�
�I am well aware of the fact,� Kagome replied looking at the
figure.
�What!� everyone asked at once.
Kagome ignored them and continued on, �So many innocent lives
were lost they deserve a chance, and to sacrifice one life to save that many
people it is worth it.�
Everyone was so shocked that they could not form any words of
protest.�� Then another orb formed next
to the first person.� Inuyasha
was speechless as the orb took form to reveal Kikyo.
�Kagome, why risk your life like that?� she asked.
�It is just something that I need to do.�
�You are sure of this?�
�Positive.�
Kikyo looked at Kagome for a minute then
sighed, �Very well.� Your heart is the
purest ever to exist and your intentions are good.� Kagome I will give you my energy to
help.� I am finally at peace and will
remain where I am, you however still have so much to give.� I will give you all the energy I possess, it
may not be enough, but we will hope.� I
have never met anyone like you, but I am glad that I had the chance.�
Kikyo held up her hand and Kagome gasped
as she felt energy suddenly coursing through her.� It only took a few seconds, but it felt like
an eternity.� When Kikyo
was done she lowered her hand.
�Kikyo,� Kagome called to her,
�Why?� You deserve a chance to live just
like the others.�
�Kagome, I have finally found peace in death.� I am proud to help you in your endeavor.� In my life I have never met anyone like
you.� Your kindness and willingness to
give your own life to help others is beyond noble.� Now I understand how you could hold two
separate souls in your body.� Inuyasha, I am glad you finally found love.� I wish you all the best.�
�Kikyo,� Inuyasha
whispered taking a step towards her.
�Don�t feel sad for me, I am finally happy.� Live your life and be happy.� Kouga loves you for
who you are, I never could.� Things are
how they are supposed to be.� Goodbye Inuyasha,� Kikyo smiled gently at
him and he could see the happiness in her eyes.
With that Kikyo slowly faded.� Sesshomaru, who had
been standing silently the whole time, finally snapped out of his trance and
ran over to his mate.
�Don�t do this koi, I beg you,� he
said pulling her into his arms.
�I have to, there were so many
innocent people that fell due to that evil bastard.� Just hope for the best, aishiteru.�
With that Kagome leaned up and kissed Sesshomaru
with all the passion she possessed.� Then gave him a small smile before taking a step back.� She looked at everyone in the group noticing
the fear and apprehension in their eyes.
�I love you all like family, but I must do this.�
With that she held up the jewel and closed her eyes.� The jewel began to glow and they could feel
the energy pulsing off it.� Kagome opened
her eyes and held her other hand out to where the jewel hovered between
them.� She took a deep breath and began
pushing her energy into the jewel, making it pulse stronger and begin to glow
so bright it lit the whole field.� Sesshomaru watched, silent tears streaming down his face.
Then like a an earthquake a pulse of
energy shot from the jewel causing the ground to ripple in every
direction.� They all watched stunned as
the ripple continued to move out across the clearing and out of sight.� They didn�t know it, but the ripple rolled
out like a shockwave all through Japan.�
Kagome�s arms shook as she pushed more energy into the jewel, a look of
determination on her face.
Sesshomaru felt his heart pound as he felt her
energy fading fast.� He tried calling to
her to stop, but she just kept going.�
The wolves that had fallen on the battlefield rose, all of their wounds
healed.� The whole group gasped as they
realized their wounds were healed as well.�
The group ran to Sesshomaru�s side praying
that Kagome would live through this.�
They all felt her energy level dropping fast.
Then they all cried out in shock when the jewel disintegrated
disappearing into Kagome�s body.� At the
same time the light in her eyes disappeared.�
Sesshomaru rushed to her side to catch her,
cradling her limp body as he fell to his knees.�
The bond from their mating gone and he knew she was dead.� He stared into her eyes, once so bright, now
dull and lifeless.� His body shook as he
pulled her to his chest tears streaming down his face.

Midoriko watched the whole scene.� She knew they all loved Kagome and she felt a
deep pain knowing that Kagome had given her life to save so many others.� Kagome deserved to live.� She had a family and yet she had given
everything to do what was right.� Midoriko looked down and closed her eyes chanting an
ancient spell.� When she was done she
looked back up to see the group gathered around the dead miko.
She gave a small smile, she had done
what she could.� Now if they all loved
her as they claimed they could save her.�
The spell was the only way, now it was up to them.� Then Midoriko
silently faded away going back to where she belonged.� In her heart she knew that Kagome�s friends
would save her.� She had been through so
much and now she would have her chance of happiness.

They all watched as the proud demon lord broke down, tears
running freely.� They looked at the body
of their friend and slowly tears of pain, anguish and loss streamed down their
faces as well.� Everyone in the group
dropped their guard and cried freely for the fallen angel.� At first they didn�t realize what was
happening, their vision obscured by their tears, but then Inuyasha
nudged Kouga and pointed to the center of the circle
they had formed.
They gasped as their tears floated to the center of the
circle they had made.� They all watched
in shock as a glowing orb formed where their tears joined.� They watched in awe as the orb grew bigger
with each tear they shed.� Then the orb
pulsed and slowly sank until it was hovering over Kagome�s chest.� As one more tear fell from Sesshomaru�s face the orb entered Kagome�s body.
They watched in shock as she suddenly drew in a deep breath
and they could hear her pulse steadily beating.�
She didn�t open her eyes, but they all smiled as she sighed and snuggled
closer to Sesshomaru.�
Sesshomaru felt his breath hitch as he felt
her move in his arms.� She was
alive!� He didn�t know how, but somehow
their combined tears had pulled her back from death.
This is my final gift to her.� She will finally have the happiness she
deserves, take care of her.
Midoriko�s voice whispered in all of their
heads.� Sesshomaru
smiled and silently thanked her and promised her that he would always take care
of her and make her happy.� He stood up
with his mate in his arms and a smile on his face.� They were all about to head back to his
palace when they heard the familiar voices coming towards them.
�Ahh, hentai!�
a female voice shouted then a loud smack echoed through the clearing.
�It�s my hand, it�s cursed,� a male voice responded.
Inuyasha felt his heart skip a beat as the
voices came closer.� They were
alive.� His happiness quickly turned to
worry however as a thought struck him.�
What if they were mad at him?�
What if they never wanted to see him again?� He took a deep breath and stood where he was
waiting for them to enter the clearing.�
Anxiety went through him as he waited to find out his fate.
