Chapter Twenty Five

Soul's Fray

Inuyashas Youkai

On their way to meet their friends to the dining hall,hand in hand Inuyasha and Kagome strolled up to the last corridor ,leading to the door where they were being expected. Sesshomeru had met with them and noticed something peculiar about the miko hanyouess during his small conversation with her,it was just in his greeting that somehow shook her concentration of whatever cloaking spell she was using,and allowed it to fall away for a second.

Underneath it all laid someone different, Kagome's eyes flickered crimson briefly with the fading of brief stripes across her cheeks, a small whiff of thick acidic fluid centered around her fingers, and a brief humming burst of miko powers. All within a moments time violently shook from the girl then like it was nothing disappeared a second later ,returning the girl back to her original form.

With a obvious uplift of his brow looked to his youngest brother Inuyasha who echoed his concern in his eyes because of the signals that he picked up but couldn't see when she was facing that of his brother Sesshomeru. Taking a deep breath while thinking quickly about these turn of events,before centering his attention back to the miko in front of him. Before he got the chance to question her about the current state of his brothers wench ,someone beat him to it,his brother Inuyasha.

"Kagome are you alright?" Inuyasha purred into her ears from behind

"I am fine ,I think .I just felt a little dizzy for a minute ,but I will be fine." Kagome returned slightly unsure

"Alright ,Kagome just let me know and we can go anytime if that changes " Inuyasha returned while looking at her head then to his brother in concern receiving a subtle nod from Sesshomeru

The trio continued to walk the last of the way to the door where their friends sat already eating. The hanyou opened the door , following after his mate and brother ,then sitting with each one on either side of his mate.Suddenly without any notice ,during their conversation both Sesshomeru's and Kouga 's stature became taunt and their eyes bled crimson ,followed their feral growls. Inuyasha stood in a protective stance in front of Kagome,while the others then either followed or scattered way from the oncoming outburst . It became Miroku's voice breaking through the thick tense choas that quickly devoured the room in a short matter of time.

" Sango,take Shippo, and Kirara,and remove yourself from this area now!"

"Why ? Do you know what's going on ? " Sango yelled back

"I think so but if I am right nobody should be in this room right now ,now leave I will come get you when I am done!" Miroku screamed in a way that left no room for argument

"What's going on Miroku!?" Inuyasha yelled

"It's Kagome, Kouga and Seshomeru are reacting from what they feel of their pack mate as though she is in danger ,like being attacked through the bond they share .So they are ..."Miroku explained before the blast of light bursted forth from Kagome interrupting him because he and everyone else around her was suddely thrown back.

When the smoke cleared from the sudden explosion , a shaking Kagome was held between that of Sesshomeru and Kouga ,and with a barrier encasing around them . At first the barrier because of it's purity began to burn that of the two demons, that were within the protective skin with her,it's first instinct was to purify the foreign intruders ,until the bond was recognized ,the barrier changed it direction ,and sent flickers of purifying poison whipping out throughout the room. Kagome's eyes bulged a bleeding red with swirls of Fuchsia before her exhaustion caught up with her and then they rolled to the back of her head when her body feel limp between the strong arms of Sesshomeru. Both Kouga and Sesshomeru calmed before sharing a look of shock then directing a knowing stare to the monk and that of Kagome's intended mate .

"Inuyasha ,Miroku ,Kouga ,my office now and wait there until I get there !" Sesshomeru left with a limp Kagome in his arms to her bedquarters

When the eldest brother left the room ,leaving three stunned males in his midst. Shaking briefly to remove the daze left from the ordeal from the miko Kagome ,Kouga stood to follow Sesshomeru's orders before bringing his attention to the mutt.

"Heya mutt are ya sure your enough to handle the bitch ,I mean wow my head still hurts. Kagome packs a punch it feels like she was trying to tear me apart ,Fuck! Lets go I don't wanna feel your brothers wrath as well after that!"

"What's the matter puny wolf ,did ya get your ass kicked by a girl?"

"Just wait who's the pussy when you are the one mated to the bitch and you'll see what I am talking

about, mutt. You say that now but I have a bond with her already I feel what she does as that of your brother.In due time you'll feel it too and then tell me who's the pussy then ! Ha!"

"Guys ,guys lets meet with Sesshomeru shall we ,we won't find out what's going on until we work together?" Miroku broke through their obvious argument leading them, no where

Sesshomeru had only gotten to her room, and laid her on the bed before a weakened whisper from the woman below rose to his ears . Looking down into Kagome's tired chocolate eyes with her drooping ears slowly swaying back and forth to listen for any words spoke to her. Raising a finger slightly over to corner table of the room a envelope with some scrolls on top ,Sesshomeru stood slowly towards the table in question,before going back to the patient in the bed.

"Kagome ,what is this?"

" Those are for you ,Sesshomeru guard it well ."

"Where did you get this from?Are you alright?"

" A friend from my time, I don't want it anymore. I don't want to remember"

" Kagome ,I want you to rest while I look at these is there anything that you want Inuyasha to bring you?"

Kagome looked at him with a blank look ,before his words settled into her exhausted thoughts ,bringing a faint smile to her now pale face . Giving Sesshomeru a slight nod before further sliding underneath the covers and snuggling into the pillow. The Inu Youkai looked back at the trembling hands laying on top of the coverlet and noticed the fluttering of her closed eyes ,when a tear fell from her left eye before settling one hand on top of hers after wiping the salt off her cheek.

A sigh slowly made its presence known into the otherwise quiet room before Kagome whispered her request of him .

"Please help me Sesshomeru ,I want to forget. I try because it no longer doesn't matter but the constant memories are burned into my mind and it won't leave me alone. It's tearing me apart .If you want to help me and yourselves ,make me forget ."
