As I sit with my buttery oatmeal this morning, I feel I must make some things clear before I begin this chapter. Kagome & Sesshoumaru have not actually had sex yet. The scene in chapter 23 was a dream that they shared. The bonding has left them able to communicate through dreams though Kagome doesn’t know that yet. As far as Kagome is concerned, she merely had an erotic dream about Sesshoumaru and he saw it. Sesshoumaru on the other hand realizes that he succumbed to his baser desires and “had her” even though it was only on the dream realm. So yeah, just wanted to explain that beforehand. No raping has occurred. Entirely a mutual situation. Kinda. Anyway, enjoy the new chapter.
Misfortune Followed Us Home ch.25
Sango pressed her heels into Kirara’s sides, urging her to go faster as they followed Ah Un. It has been two days since the tachi was separated and currently Sango and Miroku were following Rin and Jaken to the western shiro. It could be seen in the distance, a white and black structure located on an island, surrounded by a wall in the middle of a vibrant meadow. A dirt road lead from the shiro to a busting village maybe 3 hours away by human walking standards. As they got closer, Sango was able to notice more details. A single bridge spanned the lake wide enough for two carriages to pass. The roof was a navy shingled tile, while the bricks that composed the shiro were a sandy color. The main shiro contained four wings, the western most being the tallest had five floors, the others had three. Various outbuildings covered the courtyard and an elegant garden spread behind the shiro into a forest on the backside of the island. As they went to land a familiar voice rose up to meet their ears.
“What do you mean I can’t come in? I’m a lord of this land too whether you like it or not! You can’t keep me out here. Tell ‘em Myouga! Shit where’d that lousy flea go? Myouga! Myouga! Let me in!”
A knock sounded at the door.
“Enter,” Sesshoumaru rumbled as he looked through a scroll. “What is it Rukoshi,” he asked as he put the scroll aside.
Rukoshi scratched the back of his head as he leaned against the door jamb. “Your brother is throwing a fit at the gate cousin.” Two inches shorter than Sesshoumaru, he had shaggy layered hair cut with wavy curls, the only similarities between the two being their silvery white locks. It would be hard to tell they were raised together. He regarded Sesshoumaru closely with his amethyst eyes.
“Let the imbecile in. Bring him here.”
“Whatever you say,” he remarked as he walked away. He arrived outside just in time to see Rin land in the middle out the courtyard. Kirara followed suit coming to rest beside Ah Un. The young girl leapt off the dragon and grasped him around the waist.
“Rukoshi-sama! Rin is so happy to see you.” She smiled as she tugged him in the direction of Kirara. Sango and Miroku stood beside the kasai neko waiting to be acknowledged. “This is Sango-chan and Miroku-san, they brought Rin home so be nice to them.”
“Of course hime-sama,” he replied with a chuckle.
“Oi! Let me in!”
Rukoshi sighed as he ruffled Rin’s hair and made his way to the gate. “Let the imbecile in” he yelled to the guards on the other side of the gate. Barely audible snickering could be heard as they released him and opened the gate.
“Cousin Inuyasha, how nice it is to see you. Sesshoumaru is waiting for you in the study, shall we go?”
