Thank you all for the reviews! Hope you all enjoy this chapter! Things are about to take off, and get extremely interesting!
Present Time
The sky. The plane. All of it brought fears once again as Kagome looked at the private jet that would be taking them all back home. She hated heights. Dropping twenty-thousand plus feet from the ground was never a reassuring thing when boarding a plane. Wouldn't taking the train or bus be the better way to go? Of course, that would never be the case.
Still made her fearful though, nonetheless.
Holding in her breath mindlessly, she finally went inside and took her seat away from the windows. Closing her eyes and placing her earphones in, she waited for the impending part of lift off. That was until all her fears were instantly erased the second she felt his hand on her shoulder. Opening her eyes, she was warmed instantly at the sight of those narrowed amber eyes.
Ones that made her heart quicken and her breath escape.
How did she fall in love with this man so fast? Didn't love always take time?
Smiling, she tried to speak until fear crawled back in the second the door to the jet closed and the pilot announced their departure in a short few minutes. Clutching onto Sesshomaru, she shut her eyes once more and prayed for this flight to end as quickly as possible.
Meanwhile, Satomi sat by the window and began to look outside - not wanting to head back home just yet. As a matter of fact, she didn't want to deal with her father and the news that she was pregnant out of wedlock. It would bring too much shame to her father and the family name, and then she'd earn the reputation of her mother.
Like mother like daughter, even though she knew for a second they were never alike. Her mother died ages ago. The woman she always wanted to mother her and love her just happened to look like the cold hearted bitch in the one who birthed her. Either way, she knew the news would be inevitable. She would have to tell her father eventually, especially since it wouldn't be long until she started showing.
Right now, she was fine. But she knew she didn't have forever to wait.
Yawning, she looked down at the purse on her lap. Smiling, she remembered her camera. Knowing they had maybe a few minutes before the plane finally started to move, Satomi looked over to her cousin who was sitting beside Sesshomaru. "Hey love birds." She grinned, gaining a bright red blush from her cousin. "Let's take a picture before we go."
"But we will be in a plane, Satomi." Kagome mentioned.
"So, but we are still here. So when you show the picture to your mom, at least you can say we took the picture here." Satomi smirked.
"Haven't we already taken a lot of pictures?" Kagome insisted, not really wanting to budge from her seat.
"Yeah, but we didn't take one together." Satomi argued, finally getting up from her seat to quickly go over beside her cousin. "One picture."
"Fine."
Getting on the other side of Sesshomaru, she smirked down at him. "Yeah buddy, you are joining in this picture too." She grinned as she leaned a bit beside him and reached around him to pull her cousin closer. "Bank! Help take the picture!"
Without arguing, Bank took the camera and waited for them to smile. Of course, Sesshomaru didn't even spare a single smile, but the guy looked happy for once. Smiling as well, he took the picture and watched as the camera immediately developed the picture from the slot.
Getting up, Satomi grabbed the camera and finally the photo and waited for what seemed like forever until the image became clear. Smiling brightly, she finally showed her cousin and Sesshomaru. All three of them, Satomi to Sesshomaru's left side and Kagome on his right - looked so amazing. "I'm gonna make copies of these for sure."
Smiling at her cousin, she watched Satomi sit down before finally turning her gaze over to Sesshomaru. "You know, I don't think I'm that terrified right now."
"Wait until we start to move." Inuyasha gave a mischievous grin while lying back in his seat with Jak beside him. "Ow! What the hell was that for?" The hanyou glared over at his partner.
"For scaring Kagome. You should feel ashamed, Yasha." Jak blew him a raspberry before looking back to wink at Kagome. "No worries. I got him for you."
Laughing, everyone finally settled into their seat as the final announcement from the pilot mentioned they were ready to take off. Swallowing away her fear, Kagome shut her eyes and held onto Sesshomaru's hand. This was going to be yet another long flight.
Land! Oh she would never take this for granted ever again! As she touched the ground with her sandal covered foot, she fell instantly to the ground and hugged the earth - gravel and all. "Never again and I'm leaving you baby. Never again!" She dramatically sobbed.
"Kagome. You're embarrassing me." Souta mentioned, trying to keep his face covered from the women stewards who were slightly giggling at his sister. "Kagome, get off the ground."
Opening her eyes, she realized the show she was putting on and quickly rose to her feet. Dusting herself off, she looked at her little brother. "I tripped, it's all." She smiled and quickly began to walk away form the embarrassment.
Like before, they were greeted by the private drivers. Getting onto the vehicle for the women, Kagome sat by the window and waited for her cousin and Sesshomaru to tag along. It wasn't long until they finally did, and as always, Sesshomaru sat at the front seat keeping his eyes on both Satomi and Kagome. For once, she didn't feel the jealousy or anger she had felt before.
No, this time she felt happiness and joy. She had nothing to fear from her cousin. It was like they both said, they were only friends. Nothing more. They would never be anything more than just friends. And she also understood the level of their friendship. She understood it all.
They not only were friends, but comrades from their terrible childhood. Why would she ever take someone as valuable as Satomi away from him?
Smiling in content, she looked over to her cousin who wasn't actually happy. Frowning, Kagome patted her back and saw the look of wanting to cry appear on her face. She never saw her cousin really cry before. It wasn't like Satomi to cry - because to her, that was a sign of weakness. It was rare to ever see her cry. Very rare.
"Satomi?"
Without a second to spare, Satomi grabbed Kagome into a death like hug. Sniffling, she finally whispered to her cousin. "I'm terrified what my father will say about the baby. I'm so scared."
Her heart clenching at the news, Kagome wasted no time in hugging her cousin back. "What will he do?" She was fearful of the answer.
"He'll make me abort it." She answered truthfully. Slightly crying more, she felt her heart breaking into a million pieces.
"Satomi-san?" Rin called out from behind before getting into the vehicle with Kikyo and Jakotsu.
Wiping her tears away, she placed on a fake smile in front of Kagome and turned around. "I'm sorry. I'm being a emotional mess right now." She gave a watery laugh. Pulling her seat up, she watched as the others climbed in the back.
Kagome watched in awe as her cousin, only seconds ago was crying from such a heartache, pretended like nothing happen and showed no sign that she was crying just seconds ago.
Her heart broken even more for her cousin. How long did she master that skill? It made Kagome even feel insane as if she even witnessed her cousin crying. How long did Satomi practice that skill so that no one would ever know that she cried?
Looking at the front seat, she even noticed Sesshomaru - whose face never changed from that infamously stoic expression - with rage and anger in his eyes. To anyone, these two people, who she has come to care deeply for, looked like normal average Joes. With no bad history of their past lives. How long did they suffer? How long did they have to pretend to be alright in front of people?
How long did that have to master their own facial expressions so no one could see they were hurting and miserable inside?
How long?
It wasn't long until the coldness of the mansion filled him completely. His father and all the other house staff were there, but there was an emptiness he couldn't quite explain. Seeing Miroku gathering his bags and heading to the left wing of the house, Naraku knew deep down inside he shouldn't be feeling sad or angry. His own brother didn't even care about how their home felt.
But he felt it.
His mother was gone.
All these years of wanting her to be his mother, to have her finally show him love and acceptance - was gone. Her last good-byes broke him completely. This wasn't what he wanted to feel, especially now with Sango's father already knowing about them. He should go to her and defend her, but he just couldn't bring himself to do it. He needed to know if his mother was truly gone.
Walking up the stairs, he finally made his way to his father's study who he found currently sitting by the fireplace drinking scotch. It was a normal routine that his father would always do when something bothered him.
Swallowing hard, Naraku finally made his way over to the empty chair beside him. Sitting down, he looked over to see the stern expression upon Natsu's face. The man looked older than his years.
"Naraku."
"Father."
Silence shared between them, none bothering to tear their eyes away from the flames that danced before them. Minutes passed until finally Natsu spoke up. "She's gone."
His heart clenched at the mention of his mother. So, she truly was gone. His emotions felt so conflicted. Part of him wanted to cheer in joy, while the other part wanted to mourn the mother he finally had. "Did she go peacefully?"
"No." Natsu whispered in a broken voice. "Her final night was hell. She suffered and cried-" He paused before turning over to his son. "She begged for forgiveness. And she begged to see you one last time. But you weren't here, and I couldn't trust her anyway at the time to see you even if you were here. Instead, when she saw me, she cried and mistaken me for you. I saw her tears, son. Real tears."
Looking over to his father, he finally took notice of the tears filling his father's tired eyes with a breaking voice. Wasting no time, he rose from his seat and pulled his father into an embrace. "It's alright father. I should of told her then that I forgave her, but I couldn't."
"It's all my fault." Natsu cried out, clutching onto his son. "I was so angry with her. I wanted her to suffer for all the hell she put you through. For what she put all of us through. I couldn't let my anger go. When she needed us the most, when she wanted to tell us sorry, we turned away. And I feel terrible!"
Tears finally hitting his own eyes, Naraku felt his own heart finally breaking. It was true. The hatred they held for Kirai was so strong, it was hard to look past all of it to see a broken woman ready to pass - and all she sought was forgiveness and one final good-bye. They never bothered to give that to her.
She suffered.
For ten hours straight, she suffered until finally her heart stopped and her eyes lost that light to them. Natsu watched her suffer, and not once did he bother to end her misery. Not once did he even bother to tell her he forgave her.
Not once did he tell her good-bye.
Their home - forever cold - held such a weight it was hard to breath. No one deserved to die such a way like she did. No one deserved to feel all their organs shut down, and their bones breaking from the lack of calcium and strength. No one deserved to feel like their were drowning in their own blood, and watching the minutes tick by as they finally drew their last breath.
No one deserved what happened to Kirai.
"How can I ever forgive myself? How?" Natsu cried out, pushing his son away and lifting off the chair to storm to the nearby window. "I let her suffer. I am a monster!"
"Father, it's not your fault." Naraku tried to reason.
"It is, son. I had the power to end her misery, yet I stood there and watched her cry in agony! I watched your mother die because I didn't care for her! I wanted her dead!" Natsu finally collapsed, sobbing into his hand as he relived that night over and over. Her cries. Her tears. Her pain - he felt all of it yet he did nothing to ease her suffering.
No one deserved such a sentence, not even the most wickedest, evilest people out there.
"I kill your mother, son." He sobbed, feeling Naraku pulling him against him to try and calm him down. "Kirai! I'm so sorry!"
Shutting his eyes tightly, he held his father closely as he continued to listen to his father cry out his pleads for forgiveness. And never knowing if she would ever hear them again.
Sitting in silence, they sat there in mourning until their tears dried out and their bodies were exhausted from the emotional excitement. Pressed up against the wall, short glasses in their hand with an almost empty reserved bottle of scotch beside them, they sat in silence until the sobs ceased.
Giving a very light laugh, Natsu downed the rest of his drink in his glass and finally began to talk. "You know, I loved her once." He smiled bitterly. "I never thought I would ever love someone again, until she came along. I knew her almost all my life, and she always was the same - mean and cruel. Bitter. But when she was with me, alone, she was the sweetest, realest person I knew. She laughed, and smiled and made me feel warm."
"I fell for her. I loved her through and through. It wasn't until I learned after we got married it was all a lie. I was so close to divorcing her until I saw her in the bedroom. She had this brilliant smile on her face, thinking she was alone. In her hand, she had a white plastic strip, and she smiled and danced around our bedroom. I was confused, and before I even made myself known, she stood in front of the mirror and patted her belly. It was then I knew she was pregnant."
Listening to his father, he couldn't help but feel a slight tinge of happiness with his words. So his mother did love him, but she never showed it? He wanted to know why that changed?
Clearing his throat after filling his glass back up, Natsu continued. "She was back to being the woman I loved. We were happy, Naraku. She glowed, and she never let anything stop her from being the woman she was. Not even her dear friend Miyo. No one was able to make her feel terrible. She was happy and proud and she loved hard. But the day she went into labor, it all changed when the baby came out as a stillborn. We never told you before, and I'm sorry for that but I knew if I said anything, Kirai would kill me for it."
"Wait, I had an older sibling?" Naraku interrupted.
"An older sister." Natsu smiled bitterly before inhaling sharply and sobbing once more in anger. "Kirai loved that baby. She loved our little Tohru until she lost her when they delivered her. Since then, she never been the same. She couldn't smile. She couldn't love. She couldn't laugh. Nothing made her feel, not even when she was pregnant with you. I would catch her alone sometimes blaming herself for losing our first born. Blaming herself that we lost her because she loved her too much."
His eyes widen at the explanation and everything began to make sense. He now understood why his mother was so jealous of Akira, Miroku's mother. He understood why his mother would push him away every time he tried to gain her attention or love. It still didn't make any of it feel better, but he understood now.
His mother was afraid of losing her second child. His mother was afraid to love.
"She left you something." Natsu spoke getting through Naraku's thoughts.
Looking over to him, he tilted his head until his father pointed over to his desk at the top drawer. Swallowing, he moved over and pulled the drawer out a bit until he saw a letter with his name on it. Furrowing his brows, he pulled it out and sat back against the wall beside his father. He was afraid.
His heart was beating fast, and he was trembling. He was afraid of what the letter held.
"She made that letter two months after you were born. I don't even know what's inside it." Natsu stated, drinking away his sorrows.
Looking down, Naraku finally opened the letter and pulled out a two pages with his mother's handwriting. Swallowing hard, he carefully opened it and without a warning, her scent hit him hard. Tears coming back, he bit them back and finally opened the pages and began to read:
Naraku,
When I named you, I never meant the name to hold such darkness. Hell isn't as bad as many people think, and I hope when you read this letter you will understand. Chances are, if you are reading this, I have died. If I haven't reconciled with you, please allow me to in this letter.
I love you. I loved you when I felt your little kicks. Heard your little heart beat. I couldn't show it, and I am sorry. I feel terrible every day when I can't love you like I should. I was just so afraid that if I did, God would take from me. I don't deserve to have such happiness in my life. I have done so many bad things. I hope you will one day forgive me.
Your name, I chose it for you because even though you are my heaven and happiness - Hell is the only thing that will consume and devour me completely. You are my love, my weakness and my strength. But because of the horrible things I have done, Hell is the only heaven that will be waiting for me on the other side.
And because of that, at least I can look at that place with some happiness. Some great memory before I am engulfed in flames…
I love you Naraku. You are my little boy. You are my light.
I am so sorry for all the things I have done. For taking everything away from you. For humiliating you. For hurting you. And for not loving you the way I was suppose to do. I can't beg for your forgiveness, but please allow me to apologize in this letter.
Live with love, my son. Forever.
Your mother.
All this time, she cared. She loved. And she wanted that happiness. But she was afraid it would be taken from her like Tohru. Clutching the letter in his hands, he shut his eyes and tried to will the tears away.
His mother loved him - since the very beginning.
Always and forever.
Knock! Knock!
"Grandfather! May you please answer the door? I'm preparing supper!" Hana shouted out to her father.
Silence was immediately greeted to her when she heard no reply back but no more knocking. Curious, she wiped her hands on the dish towel and walked over to the front doors where she saw her father and someone she never thought she would ever see again.
"Tatsu-kun?"
"Oh, so you do remember me!" The dark hair male smiled while Obito, who was extremely short in comparison, continued to look at the man with suspicion.
"Yokai!" Without a second to warn Tatsu, Hana watched her father throw dust and ward barriers on him. "Out of my house! You are not welcomed here!"
"Father! Please he is an old friend!" Hana sighed, slapping her forehead with her palm as she saw her old friend covered in black dust and useless paper strips. "I am so sorry, Tatsu. My father has been very protective since-"
"No need to explain Hana-chan." Tatsu chuckled, dusting himself off and looking over to Obito. "It's a pleasure to meet you again, Higurashi-san." He gave a light bow.
"Hana! He is not allowed in here!" Obito shouted out, storming off the back to gather more wards and black dirt.
Shaking her head, she waved her hand to signal they could catch up outside. It was better this way since she didn't want to worry about her father throwing more dirt and wards around the house. "Father, please watch the soup! I'll be right outside!" She shouted out, grabbing her coat and heading out the front door with Tatsu.
Walking a bit, they finally came over to the ancient tree that seemed to be larger than the shrine most days. The same tree that held so many happy memories, and bad ones. Not wanting to think about it, Hana finally looked over to Tatsu and smiled. "It's been a long time. Never thought I'd see you again. How have you been?"
"I been traveling mostly. Been to several places, and also been trying to find a great lawyer." Tatsu replied back with a smile and shrug.
"She still won't let you see Rin?" Hana sighed, shaking her head.
"If I had believed the rumors of Miyo, I would have never laid with the woman." Tatsu chuckled. "But, as fate would have it, I slept with her and now she won't let me see the one girl who I actually care about - my own daughter. My brother told me, before we finally stopped talking, that she looks just like her."
"Your mother?" Hana asked curiously.
Nodding, he smiled and sighed. "I want to see her, Hana. I want to see my little girl."
"Didn't your brother ban you from ever coming to Tokyo?" Hana chuckled, still finding just that alone hard to believe. How could anyone ban someone from a city? It was just weird to her.
"Yeah, but I figured after sixteen years, he might actually be willing to talk with me and forgive me. I mean, he did cheat on Miyo before I even slept with the woman. Hell, Izayoi was living with them all at one time." Tatsu chuckled. "But of course, my brother would take it the wrong way. He never really liked that I was free and he wasn't." He frowned.
"Take can be free. He just chooses not to." Hana answered.
Sighing, Tatsu just shook his head. "If only it were that simple, Hana-chan. My brother believes he must be what our father taught him to be. I just hope one day my brother will break the cycle. I've seen the way he raises Sesshomaru and Inuyasha. It's just like us all over again."
"He'll break it one day, or Sesshomaru-kun will." Hana smiled. "So, tell me the reason why you came to see me?"
"I was wanting to know if you have a spare room. None of the hotels will rent me a room." He sighed. "And I figured it would be better this way anyway, because I will be with Hana-chan."
Chuckling, Hana just shook her head. "The only spare room I have is the one in the shrine. My kids are to be back sometime today, and then they will be going to school and won't be back until weekends and holidays."
"Private school?"
"Yeah. They both got a scholarship to attend the International school. Hayashi Scholarship Program, to be exact. I believe their uncle is trying to make up for not being a brother to my late husband." Hana sighed.
Frowning, Tatsu looked down to the ground than back up. "Have you talked to anyone from our past?"
"Nope. Not since Ryuu died in that terrible accident." She replied. "I know it was Miyo and Kirai. I know they did it. I lost my two best friends and my husband."
"Hana…"
"Don't." She stated firmly. "Everyone said I was crazy to even consider such a thing. There was no evidence that they did it. I knew it was them, especially when Sakura did nothing but smile at the news of their death."
"Still, it's not like I'm calling you a liar but you can't keep torturing yourself like this. It's not healthy." Tatsu frowned.
"Oh, I'm not. Didn't you hear? Kirai Kasai died Tuesday morning." Hana gave a bitter smile. "I hope she suffered."
"You don't mean that." Tatsu stated softly.
Sighing, Hana felt her powers surging until she finally pulled them back in and nodded. "You're right. It's just, I hate not knowing what really happened to them. That wasn't a coincidence. It just hurts, you know." She sniffled, trying to relax her emotions.
Pulling her into an embrace, Tatsu smiled and placed a kiss on her head. "It's alright, Hana. I know how you feel. Ryuu was my best friend too. And when Izayoi died, I couldn't even be there to comfort my brother."
Standing in the cold, the two held each other until the cold air finally started to be felt on their heated skin. Pulling away, they both smiled and looked back at the ancient tree. Clearing her throat, she finally looked over to Tatsu. "Would you like to meet them? Souta looks just like Ryuu."
"Yeah. I would love that."
"When I said I was coming over to help you unpack, I truly meant it Sesshomaru." Satomi glared while Kagome held a blanket in her arms. "Don't give me that look. Miyo be damned! She dares try anything with you, and she will not only have me but your brother and all of us to deal with. That bitch will get her due."
"You believe my mother to be some weak simpleton? She is a yokai, and one of the most powerful ones in the inu-yokai society. Don't think for a second she will even go easy on you, if she doesn't even show the same kindness to her flesh and blood." Rin immediately jumped in while pointing to her big brother. "I may not know what really is going on here, but I do know my mother has abused my brother in some way. I'll be damned to let her do anything else, nii-san." She finally directed her attention over at Sesshomaru.
Standing still, not wanting to argue, Sesshomaru for once felt something he never thought he would ever feel. He felt support and acceptance…
He felt family.
Looking over to his brother, he noticed the familiar nod to his head. Yeah, he had his friends and family to help back him up but his little sister was right. Miyo wouldn't show any mercy on anyone if they dared tried to get in her way.
Fear quickly seeped in as he looked over to his little sister. She would no longer be safe from their mother's clutches. He would have to protect her at all costs, but that also meant he would have to protect all his friends and family too. How did he get into this mess? If they didn't know, this would be so much easier - it would be the same routine every day.
His sister would be safe. Satomi would still hate Miyo, along with everyone else. But he wouldn't have to worry about a war against the bitch. He wouldn't have to worry about putting everyone he cares about in harms way, especially when he finally found his one true love. His mother would rip her to shreds.
"Whatever you do, just don't mention anything. And Satomi, you are to be in the vehicle. The second she finds out anything, it won't be easy for you with your father." He stated firmly, looking over at his childhood friend.
Her eyes widen in shock, but she knew he was right. It made her hate that fact even more, because despite everything she wanted to be there to protect Sesshomaru - just like he had always protected her - like they always protected each other. But the cards on the table changed, and this game was no longer in her favor. She knew that she had something else to protect, and if Miyo found out she's pregnant, she'd lose everything.
Nodding in reluctance, Satomi went back to the vehicle. At least she wouldn't be alone since Bankotsu never left her side since they both found out about the baby.
Meanwhile, the gang finally headed inside the large mansion. Kagome's eyes still couldn't comprehend what she was looking at. Her cousin truly was right. The Taisho castle was larger than she had ever seen. Laid out in the traditional Japanese castle, the entire place was enormous and gorgeous. It literally stole her breath away - and what caught her to pause was the large tree in the middle of the entire landscape.
It looked so similar to the one at the shrine, except the bark was much darker and the leaves were more narrowed and green. It was truly a beautiful sight to see.
As they all walked further to the main house, she took notice of how big it was. Two floors, and a side building with the screen doors wide open to show a large empty room with only a samurai display model. Two large bonzai trees planted symmetrically in front of it with a stone walk path leading to the building. And around the trees were ponds instead of the white rock sand that leveled the entire plantation.
The place was truly remarkable.
"Hey, Kagome. Keep up. You don't want to get lost, trust me. It's not fun getting lost in this place." Inuyasha smiled while slowing down to let the miko catch up.
"I'm sorry, it's just that this place is truly intense." She replied back. "I've never seen anything so beautiful before."
"Why thank you." A voice called out from behind them, making everyone but Kagome shiver in fear. "I wouldn't have settled for less."
"Miyo." Inuyasha snarled under his breath before turning around to see the queen bitch with Sado and Misaki.
"Now, is that any way to treat the Lady of the House, hanyou?" Miyo smirked, narrowing her eyes at Inuyasha before looking over everyone else. "Well, Sesshomaru. It seems you brought quite the mess. You brought a fagot and a human girl? How displeasing. Please be rid of them and return to my study. I have much to tell you." She huffed and walked past the gang.
"Excuse me?" Kagome scoffed catching Miyo's attention quickly. "Who are you calling a fagot and hanyou? Seriously? What gives you the right to insult the most amazing people I have ever met in my life? You truly are a terrible person! I'm shocked to even know that you gave birth to an incredible man, who is ten times better than the person you will ever be!"
Cocking her brow, Miyo pushing past one of her handmaidens and walked over to Kagome who was immediately blocked by Inuyasha and Sesshomaru. "Oh, is that how it is? You talk all this mess behind two guys? Please you sickly weakly. I can break you in half if I wanted to. What's your name?" She glared, pushing aside her son and the hanyou.
"Higurashi Kagome! And I am no weakling." Kagome stated proudly.
"Higurashi?" Miyo scoffed. "It seems that no matter how hard I try, the bitch still finds a way to ruin my life." Looking over to her son, she rolled her eyes. "Get rid of her, or I will. Last chance."
"You will not touch her." Sesshomaru finally stated.
"Oh. Really? What makes you say that?" Miyo glared.
"Because I can fight my own battles! I am a miko, and I will fight back if you harm me or my friends!" Kagome snarled.
"A miko? Oh this is just getting even more annyoing! You are just like your bitch of a mother." Miyo scoffed. "I can't even believe you are even friends with a Higurashi! A trash like her shouldn't even be allowed to breath the rich air here!"
"The only trash I see is you." Kagome snapped back.
"Watch it girl. You are only alive because it's illegal for a yokai to harm a human." Miyo huffed. "But don't test me."
"Is that a threat mother?" Sesshomaru glared.
"Can be." Miyo smiled.
"I'd watch what I say next." Sesshomaru glared. "She is my friend and also the woman I hold very dear. You harm her, or anyone else that I love and care for, I will make you pay."
"Is that a threat, son?" Miyo clicked her tongue.
"A promise." Sesshomaru threatened, pushing past his mother and having the rest of the gang follow behind.
"Oh no! I will not have a poor slut enter my home!" Miyo growled out, reaching out to snatch Kagome. In a blink of an eye, her wrist was snatched quickly by Sesshomaru. "Let me go!" She snarled out.
"Sesshomaru! Let your mother go!"
Growling lowly, he obeyed but quickly returned back to entering the main building with the rest of the crew. Meanwhile, Take approached his darling wife. Huffing with a smirk, he shook his head with disdain and walked passed her. "Only a child will throw a tantrum." He stated loud enough for her to hear before following behind his son.
Growling in anger, Miyo decided to head to her own private quarters away from the main building. Pulling out her cell phone, she dialed someone's number. Making her way to the far east of the gated mansion, she paused as she heard something crinkle under her foot. Looking down, she reached to grab whatever was under her foot. Bringing up to look at, she smiled as she saw her son, the Satomi girl on his left and the little miko on his right.
Chuckling darkly, she waited until the person on the other line picked up. "Meet me in my private chambers at midnight. I have a job for you." Without saying a bye, she quickly hung up and looked at the picture. "This will be perfect. Soon, that Higurashi bitch will know pain."
I hope you all enjoyed this chapter! I wanted to share some light in Kirai's story. I know it still doesn't give her an excuse on why she was cruel to Naraku, but I wanted to show how there are some people who mourn differently. Who love differently. Who are afraid to even take a risk because they will lose what matters most to them.
