Sesshoumaru awoke to the
small whimpers from his mate and his heart constricted. She was having a
nightmare, and he had a good guess about what too. He rubbed her stomach in
order to wake her up and he found himself to be pushed onto the ground with a
sobbing taijya on top of him.

-
Why, why did he have to die
Sesshou? she cried into his chest, her tears flowed from her eyes, wetting his
skin.

-
Please mate, you need to calm
down. Think of our pup, he hushed her and embraced her.

-
Please, take me home.
Sesshoumaru nodded and
moved to dress them. Sango had stopped her crying but he could see that her
tears never was far away, the unshed tears made her eyes glitter with sorrow and
he felt his heart constrict. He needed her to think about something else. �I
need to talk to Kagura-san too, perhaps she has some kind of information about
Kohaku-kun?� he thought as he took his mate into his arms and took to the
skies with the help of his magic.

They arrived at the
village during the early morning and he heard voices from the old miko�s hut.
Arguing voices to be exact. Sesshoumaru snickered when he heard the voices of
Inuyasha and Kagome, and by the way they argued it was of the same nature as the
one he had with Sango not too long ago. But when he was about to enter the hut
the voices lost their strength and Kagome rushed towards them.

-
Sango-chan, is she ok?

-
Yes, but she is very upset and
it took the better out of her. I need to find Kagura-san, I have something I
want to ask her, said Sesshoumaru and laid Sango down on one of the futons in
the hut.

-
I� I don�t think she would want
to be disturbed, grunted Inuyasha with a small blush on his cheeks.

-
Oh, I understand, where is the
young girl Kanna-chan?

-
Wait, I will get her, said
Kagome and rushed out from the hut.
Inuyasha sat down with
his back against the wall and Sesshoumaru took his place next to his mate. She
was in deep sleep and he was glad that she did not have any kind of disturbing
dreams. If she was going to cope with this she had to know a little bit more
about it. He hoped that Kanna-chan could give him that kind of information.

Kagome returned with
Kanna and Sesshoumaru went outside to talk to her. The pale girl was not so very
pale anymore, her cheeks had a healthy colour and he was happy that she seemed
to overcome her trauma.

-
Kanna-chan, I have a couple of
questions that I hope you can give me answers to, said Sesshoumaru and sat down
on the ground, he patted his lap and this time Kanna did not hesitate and she
sat down.

-
What is it Sesshou-san? she
asked.

-
Do you know what happened to
Kohaku-kun? The boy that Naraku enslaved?

-
Yes, he escaped at the same time
as us, said Kanna with a small smile.

-
W-what?? But the jewel is
complete, how can he be alive, he had a shard in his back to keep him alive and
enslaved, said Sesshoumaru and he felt his heart tremble with relief.

-
[giggle] You have something to
learn about me ojisan, even though I look very young and such, I do have one or
two things up my sleeves, said Kanna. When Naraku was out searching for more
shards I was left inside the palace, and I spent most of my time in the library.
I don�t think he knew I could read, but I can and I read a lot of books and
scrolls that handled magic. I removed the shard from Kohaku-kun�s back and
sealed the wound with a healing-spell, thus making sure that he would not die.
Sesshoumaru could not
help him self, he hugged the small child and she returned the warm affection.

-
Thank you Kanna-chan, you have
made this Sesshoumaru very happy and relieved. Kohaku is my mate�s younger
brother and she has been heartbroken by the fact that we did not see Kohaku on
the battlefield; we believed he had been killed by Naraku.

-
No, he is alive, Naraku did not
kill him. I would guess he sought shelter in a village nearby the castle before
moving on.

-
Then I will search for him,
thank you Kanna-chan.

You are very welcomed ojisan.
She went back to the
children�s hut and Sesshoumaru could howl to the moon. He wanted to rush into
the hut to tell Sango the good news, but she had been mentally exhausted so he
decided to wait until she awoke by her self.
