Sango slept, dead to the world and
Inuyasha was glad for that. The door opened and in came a white clothed male. He
had silver hair golden eyes just like Inuyasha. The only thing that was
different, very different with this guy was � he had strange looking ears on top
of his head, furry triangular ears and a tail. Inuyasha saw him sniff the air
and a wicked grin spread across his face.

-
Man Inuyasha, that smells good, he stated with a low purring voice.

-
Nice to see you too Kurama, what brings you to my quarters tonight? asked
Inuyasha and tried to act normal.

-
That, said the funny looking man and pointed towards Sango. � Who is she?

-
A girl that is running away from something, I was surprised you did not
attack her in the forest like you do with others, snorted Inuyasha.

-
Hey, hey, that was uncalled for, I only scare them. Making them think
that the forest are haunted so we can leave here without snooping humans, said
Kurama. � I can not help if they are old and have heart problems.

-
Well, you will not scare this girl, she has enough troubles. She will be
spending the rest of the night and then she will move on.

-
Shit Inuyasha, you are dumb than I thought. You will actually let this
girl go? Man, you should take her as mate, but if you don�t want her, I sure as
hell can take her, taunted the fox demon.

-
You will not lay a paw on her! hissed Inuyasha.
Kurama waved his hands in dismissive
manner. He looked around the cabin for food and found the bowl of soup. He took
some and settled down next to the fire.

So who is she?

-
Her name is Sister Nightfall, and she is probably running away from
something. She said she was a nun, but I have trouble believing that. She does
not strike me as a nun.

-
A nun?? No way this girl is a nun, she smells to good for that. I would
go for a nobleman�s daughter, said Kurama. � Look at her clothes, that is way to
fancy for a nun.

No matter what she is, she is going away when she wakes up. She can not
stay here, we don�t want her to know our little secret, said Inuyasha and
stiffened a bit when Sango moved on the bed and snuggled deeper into the covers.

-
I can follow her to the edge of the forest, smirked Kurama.

-
I am sure you could fox, but you will not. You can barely contain
yourself now. I will not let you take her Kurama. I will take her and that is
the end of that.

-
You are no fun Inuyasha, pouted the fox.

-
Shut up and eat your food and then get out before she wakes up, unless
you change back into your human form. She is going to have a fit if she sees you
like this.

-
My human side is sooo boring, never doing anything fun.

-
A responsible side I would say, said Inuyasha.

-
Alright, alright, I will be going soon so you can seduce this lovely
little flower, smirked Kurama.

-
Ahh, you are impossible.
Inuyasha growled low under his breath
and never noticed when Sango came out of her sleep.

Sango heard voices, she recognized one
of the voices, it belonged to the man who had taken her in, but the other voice,
the teasing voice.. What were they talking about? �Take me as mate? What kind
of strange way to talk about marriage.� she thought. �But there is no
chance in hell they are going to take my body, not without a real fight.�
Her hand gripped her dagger, ready to strike down who ever dared to touch her.
But as the minutes passed, the talk became even stranger. �Human form?�
Sango cracked up her eyes, every so lightly, and her heart skipped a beat.
There in the warm yellow light sat a
mysterious figure. His hair looked similar to that of Inuyasha�s, long and
silver white. But he was oddly dressed, not like Inuyasha�s red and black
clothing. No this guy looked like he was wearing� she searched for the word� a
toga? But what the hell was that on top of his head? Sango strained her eyes
further and she wanted to gasp when she saw the furry appendages on top of his
head. And what was whisping behind his back? Was that a tail??!!! �I am
seeing things, I am dreaming. Yes that�s it� I am dreaming.� Ranted Sango
and closed her eyes again, hard. She froze when she heard a low chuckling sound
from the odd figure.

Kurama sniffed the air and he laughed
and put away the bowl of soup.

Well, well, a light sleeper perhaps? He taunted and rose to his feet and
walked over to the bed.
Inuyasha paled when he saw the girl
tense up. �Fuck, this is not going to end well.� He thought and managed
to stand between the girl and Kurama.

-
Don�t touch her Kurama, he threatened.

-
Don�t worry Inuyasha, I will not kill her. Just fondle a bit with her.

-
You touch and you die Kurama.
Sango whimpered and hid her face in the
covers.

-
Step back Kurama, you are frightening the young lady.
Kurama sighed and walked back to sit
next to the fire.

-
Sorry Sister Nightfall, my friend is a bit rude sometime, said Inuyasha
with a soft voice. � Don�t worry, he is quite harmless.

-
W-what is h-he? whispered Sango. � He is n-not human?

-
No, he is not human. He is a fox demon, said Inuyasha.

-
A� a demon??

-
Not everything is what it seems, demons have lived side by side with
humans for a long time. But now they ignore us, telling their children that we
don�t exist. But we do, and Kurama here is making sure that this forest is free
from humans.

The haunted forest?

-
Exactly, but it is not haunted. Kurama here and me too are making sure
that this part of the land is free from humans. But you slipped through his keen
sense of smell.

-
W-what are you going to d-do to me? Sango was on the brink of tears.

-
Don�t cry little lady, we will not do anything to you. You sleep here for
as long as you like and then Inuyasha will take you to the edge of the forest
and you can leave in peace, said Kurama suddenly. � Just don�t talk about it
with others and we will leave you alone.
Sango nodded dumbly.

-
Good! Now go back to sleep.

-
But you said only demons were allowed in the forest Inuyasha, then why
are you here? asked Sango.

-
Because I am a half demon, said Inuyasha and let his little concealing
spell disappear.
And he too got two furry ears on top of
his head, but she could not see a tail on him. She ogled him for several minutes
and then she spoke again.

-
Half demon?

-
Half human, half dog demon lady, snorted Kurama.

-
Now you know, go back to sleep Nightfall, said Inuyasha. � And do not
worry; we will not harm you in anyway.
She gulped but nodded. She closed her
eyes. She was still feeling exhausted from the long run and she could not help
it, she fell asleep again.

Ok, I have no idea how this Kurama
figure actually behave, so I just make things up as I go along.
