Ayumi stiffened and pushed her as far up
she could into the corner of the bed, hardly breathing at all. Someone had
broken into her place, she felt her heart ache inside her body, not knowing at
all what to do. Scream for help?

-
Amai-san, are you there? the voice asked again and she was confused.
�He knows my name?�
but then it hit her, it must be Yakusatsu.

-
Yakusatsu-san? she piped out.

-
Yes, it is me.
Sesshoumaru turned and looked into the
alcove where her bed stood. He saw her curled up against the wall with a big
black teddy bear.

Are you ok Amai-san?
She nodded but he could see she was
having difficulties to keep her from crying again. His eyes caught a glimpse of
the sketching pad and he was riserised to see that she had tried to catch his
real form. �Can she see through my disguise then?� She must have,
otherwise she would not try to draw him with silver hair and the crescent moon
on his forehead.

-
How� how did you know where I lived? She asked silently and Sesshoumaru
turned to look at her again.

-
I will not lie to you Amai-san, I have known for quite some time;
actually I knew your address the day after we met at the mall.

Then why did you take so long before you called me?
He could hear the hurt in her voice and
he smiled softly.

I did not want to scare you, he said truthfully.
Again she could see flashes of silver
and her eyes widened. Something strange was up with this dude. Was he the
dangerous person Kagome-chan and her mother had talked about? But if he was so
dangerous, why had he not done anything to her? It looked like it was quite the
opposite, he had been worried that she had been hurt, she could hear it in his
voice. And he hand known where she lived for awhile, so if he wanted to hurt
her, or kill her, he would have done so by now.

Do you want me to make you some tea Amai-san? asked Sesshoumaru to catch
her attention again.

-
Yes please, whispered Ayumi.
Sesshoumaru nodded and went to her small
kitchen; soon he found his way around and began boiling some water. He put two
cups on the table.
�I must know if he is the same person
they are talking about.� thought Ayumi and put her
teddy away and rose to her feet.

-
Sesshoumaru-sama?

-
Yes Amai-san�..
Sesshoumaru stiffened when he realised
that she had used his real name. He did not turn around to look at her, afraid
that she would look at him with accusing eyes.

So Kagome-chan was right after all, she did know you then?

-
Yes, she did once. And she had all right to want to kill me, said
Sesshoumaru defeated.

Why?

-
Because I tried to kill her and my brother on several occasions� But I
have made peace with my brother now, but I guess your friend doesn�t know that.

Who is your brother? asked i ani and looked into the broad back of
Sesshoumaru. Again she was sure she saw his hair flash in silver.

Inuyasha�said Sesshoumaru and turned around to look at the young woman.

Inuyasha?? guy guy who left Kagome for another?

I think Kagome-san thought they were going to be mates, but he later told
me that he only saw her as a friend, his best friend. I think she took it as a
lover�s affection.
Ayumi heard the sadness in his voice and
she softened a bit.

-
Poor Kagome-chan� whispered Ayumi.

-
So why did you hang up the phone .. Ayumi-chan?
She blushed when she heard the intimate
suffix to her name; she looked away, not wanting to see his golden gaze. She sat
down at the table and took the cup he held out to her.

-
Kagome-chan has been take away to a hospital, and I can not visit her,
only family can see her. I wanted.. I wanted to ask her about you, she said with
a low voice.

About me? Why?

-
Because� you make me curious, and yet I feel uneasy around you.

Curious and uneasy? Is that a good thing? A small portion of humour could
be detected in his dark voice.

I don�t know, but what I want to know is why I keep on seeing your hair
turn into a silvery colour and why I saw a strange tattoo in your forehead, she
said. � And after I talked to Higurashi-san, I guessed that you probably knew
Kagome, that she had called you by your accurate name.

Oh, I understand.
Sesshoumaru put his cup away and sighed.
He would drop his disguise, but would she run away screaming in terror when he
did?

Don�t be afraid Ayumi-chan, I will let you see what most human never have
seen before, not in this era anyway.

Huh??

Just� don�t be afraid ok?
She nodded and saw him close his eyes.
His lips moved but she could not hear a word. But soon he had transformed, right
there in front of his eyes. Instead of long black hair he had a silver mane. In
his forehead was a purple crescent moon and his cheeks was striped in the same
purple colour. His ears were pointed and his hands� Ayumi�s eyes widened even
more when she saw his long sharp nails, or was it claws. His wrists were striped
like his cheeks. His clothes were that of a noble men in the past.

W-what are you? she asked with a shaky voice.

-
Kagome-san was right about another thing too� I have a demon�s ass.

-
Ehh??

-
I am demon Ayumi-chan.
The world spun around Ayumi and she lost
consciousness.
