Chapter three: Battle in the woods

Koneko opened her eyes at the growl that reverberated from Sesshomaru's chest and stayed still to listen to him gripe at the monk, she had to resist snickering at the possessive tone he used. He had just began to warn them again, "Foolish humans..." when her hands stroked his tail, going deeply into the fur, Sesshomaru stopped mid sentence and both humans saw a strain on his face. She threaded her fingers in his tail, massaging her fingertips to the very base of his tail, and both humans jumped at the deep purr that resonated from his chest. "Koneko, I know you are awake...could you....hmmm, purrrrrrr, please stop that in front of the humans?"

She pulled back a little and smiled at him, "Since you said please..." she pulled her hands back and smiled, "but you did insinuate I could do it again later."

Sesshomaru groaned, "And you are going to remember that aren't you?"

"Of course..." she looked at Inuyasha, "I think it is time to wake up little Inu-chan." She began rubbing the base of his ears until a light purr began and he jerked awake to look at her with wide eyes.

"Koneko!"

She smiled innocently, "Wha-at?"

"Not in front of them!"

She smiled before kissing the tip of his nose, "Inuyasha, they are your friends, I think you can trust them at least that much..."

Inuyasha gave a small smile, but still he did not relent on doing that in front of Miroku, Sango, and Shippou. He looked down at the little kitsune, half sprawled on his lap and smirked as an idea hit him. "Koneko....can you still conjure water?"

"Yes, but why....oh, um that wouldn't be very nice."

"Please....I owe him one."

"Just this once."

She waved her hand and a small amount of water appeared floating over poor Shippou's head, Inuyasha smirked darkly as he pushed it down and Shippou woke up with a yip before hiding behind Koneko. Shippou stuttered while glaring at Inuyasha, "That w..wa...was...m..mm...mean, Inuyasha!"

Koneko snickered, but patted the young demon on the head, "It's o.k. Shippou."

"That water was freezing!" He snuggled closer to her body, trying to warm himself. He glared at Inuyasha angrily whilngo ngo and Miroku tried to cover their laughter, Shippou heard a snicker escape Miroku and turned teary eyes up to Koneko, "Koneko, can you help me get them for this...pleeeeaaase?"

Inuyasha cringed as he remembered that she could never resist someone that gave her 'the puppy dog' look and he sar sor soften instantly towards Shippou and his ears flattened. "You all may want to try and cover yourselves now." The others began to ask why but were suddenly soaked to the bone, even Sesshomaru and Inuyasha, "I tried to warn you...she can't resist the 'puppy dog' look, I should know..." he smiled softly, "I always used it on her."

Sesshomaru actually started laughing, making everyone else jump, and awakening Kagome. Sesshomaru laughed so hard he was near tears before he finally managed to regain his composure, Miroku smirked, "That is the first time we have seen you without that cold, arrogant mask you always wear...too bad Kagome missed it." Sesshomaru's eyes hardened marginally at the mention of the miko wench and Miroku noticed, he leaned in closer to him, "What do you hold against our Kagome?"

"You cannot sense her hatred?"

"Of what?"

"It's not a what...it is a who." He inclined his head towards Koneko, who was busy helping Shippou pick some of the ripe berries. "She senses Inuyasha's love for her....it is turning her into...Kikyou. But this time Naraku is not needed for the hatred to bloom, already the sacred jewel shards are becoming tainted in her care."

Miroku looked at the shards on the necklace around Kagome's neck and almost gasped when he saw the darker aura, "By the gods...you're right, I didn't think that Kagome could do such a thing...I wonder what is going to happen."

Koneko looked up at sky sky and frowned, her nostrils flaring at a scent that was still too faint for anyone else to smell. "Something is coming this way...something with an evil aura...a powerful demon..."

Kagome murmured under her breath, "There's already two evil demons here."

Koneko's ears swiveled towards her before lowering sadly, Sesshomaru growled warningly at Kagome and she 'hmphed' before continuing to pack her bag. Koneko sniffled, but the tears wouldn't fall, Sesshomaru knew what was coming, her face went blank and her eyes emptied of all emotions, it was a classic demon trick. It kept anyone from knowing if they'd hurt you, but her eyes still shined with unshed tears, even Miroku and Sango looked at her curiously. Her voice sounded strange to everyone's ears, quiet, deathly calm, "I suggest if you cannot fight that you find some kind of cover...Kikyou."

Kagome froze at the name and glared daggers at the cat hanyou, Koneko's eyes never wavered from hers, with a cold calm that said, 'I can kill you and I will not lose any sleep human.' She tried to match the stare and the voice, but hers wavered when she spoke, "I can take care of myself."

Koneko smiled condescendingly before Turning in the direction that the disturbance was coming from, Sesshomaru stood beside her on her left and Inuyasha took her right, they could all feel it now...it was Naraku. She raised her arms and a shield formed around them as a blast of miasma crashed down, there was no spell needed, just her own power. Everyone except Kagome watched in awe as the miasma was purified and Naraku along with his...'creations' walked into the clearing. He studied her silently, "I do not know you...but with looks such as yours I could find pleasure with you, even without knowing you. I tell you all what...let me have her and I shall give you all the jewel shards that I have." His eyes roamed her body and the proof of his arousal showed through his clothing.

Koneko managed a look of distant distaste, but her eyes remained empty, only showing a slight annoyance, saying to the other demons that this hanyou was not worth her time. "You are the devious Naraku? Hmm, you don't seem so powerful to me...in fact...you aren't even worth a full demons time...or mine."

He raised an eyebrow, "You're a hanyou?"

"Not quite...I am more demon than you are, but I am not a full one. I am much more powerful you you would ever be..even as a full demon you'd be weak."

"You dare to call me weak?!"

"I speak only the truth and somewhere inside of yourself, you know it is true." His eyes gleamed and everyone could feel the power gathering around him, he was preparing to attack. She looked over her shoulder at Sesshomaru, "Sess-chan, please get them out of here."

Sesshomaru nodded before sweeping everyone up onto his demon cloud and moving a safe distance away. Inuyasha fought against him, "You idiot what if she needs our help?!"
"What if Naraku tried to distract her by trying for one of us?"

Inuyashampedmped onto the ground, knowing that he had a point but not wanting to admit it. They all felt the energies getting higher and higher as they clashed, they were starting off by testing each other's powers, the true battle was yet to come and they all knew it. There was an explosion of dark energy and Inuyasha cried out in fear for Koneko, until they heard her scream out her next attack and they knew it would be over soon, because power echoed behind the words, "Saikou (*1) butsbutsu (*2) tsume (*3) raishuu (*4)! Now, Naraku, sakebi (*5) for me!"

Naraku's scream echoed throughout the forest...and then they felt his power retreat at an amazing speed, he had run away, like a true coward. Koneko walked calmly to them, covered in her own as well as Naraku's blood and Kissed Sesshomaru possessively. Inuyasha almost whined until she turned and kissed him just as hard, that is the funny thing about demons, a good fight not only makes them more aware of things around them, but they find it as arousing as Hell. Kagome wished to be able to kill Koneko as she stood there kissing one and then the other, and a little voice in her head whispered, 'why not?' The jewel shards glowed darkly at her thoughts and Miroku actually moved behind Sango for protection, while pulling her and Shippou further away from Kagome.

"Miroku, what are you doing?"

"I do believe Kagome is having some extremely interesting thoughts...look at the jewel shards Sango."

She looked and let out a gasp as she pushed backwards more and ended up falling ontop of Miroku, she smirked, "Odd, I thought you'd be on top."

Miroku actually blushed, "Sango, I do believe my lecherous ways are wearing off on you, but now is not the time, we need to get farther away from them."

Kagome took out a sacred arrow and oddly didn't feel the usual power when she touched it, she put it away and shaking her head walked away. She had fought of the demons of her mind...for now.

Koneko was sandwiched between Inuyasha and Sesshomaru, purring loudly while smearing blood on each of them, she may be a 1/4 miko, but 3/4 of her was still demon...and blood was a turn on.

She ran her clawed hands up into Sesshomaru's hair and he tugged her closer, unwittingly bringing Inuyasha to him as well, they each began cleaning her neck with light licks and nips to the skin. She tilted her head back, eyes closed, enjoying their mouths on her skin, the fact that she had two mates moving against her made things in her lower body stir to life like a fire from the deepest pit of Hell. Her claws tore at Sesshomaru's armor until his chest was bare, and then rubbed her cheek against him, wallowing in the silky texture of his skin. Inuyasha looked at her fascinated by the flush to her cheeks and the way her body moved of its own volution, her hands caressing both of them while her eyes were closed, yet it was as if she could see every inch of them. Her scent spiked and it was then that he knew what was happening...she was going into heat......he felt his own body react, going rigid, heat flared through him and blood pounded in his ears, he looked up to see Sesshomaru's eyes bleed red with blue pupils...he was close to transforming. He reached out to him automatically and touched his cheek, Sesshomaru's eyes, bled back to gold and stared at him over her shoulder, until her hot mouth closed over his nipple. He tossed his head back and Inuyasha looked down at her silver lips locked on his brother and began stroking her ears. She purred against Sesshomaru's chest and he groaned, feeling the vibrations going through both of them. Koneko turned to him and quickly got rid of his haori, running her claws lightly over his well toned chest and quickly flicked her wet tongue against his left nipple before suckling it hard.
Inuyasha moaned loudly and Sesshomaru brought his head up to watch her, the sight nearly undid him and his hooded golden eyes watched her mouth and throat work as if she were a kitten suckling from her mother...then the meaning of her name hit him hard and he laughed lightly before bending forward to kiss her throat. His teeth grazed her skin and her back arched into him, Inuyasha watched as a small dribble of blood began going down into her cleavage, transfixed as only a demon could be by such a sight. He leaned forward and lapped at the blood softly, he placed his head on the other side of her throat and looked into his brother's eyes, the decision was made, they both reared back and sank their teeth into her throat, marking her as theirs and theirs alone. When they pulled back they didn't expect what happened next, she leapt forward and latched onto Inuyasha, marking him as hers and herself as his equal, then she did the same to Sesshomaru, and neither could resist the pull of her power to pull away or resist giving in to the pleasure of her bite. They belonged to each other now...and nothing could change that...not even Kagome.

Sesshomaru pulled away a little, "I think we should move to a more sheltered spot....we are drawing attention to ourselves."

"Where to,...Sesshomaru?"

"The palace of the Western Lands of course."

"Please tell me Jaken isn't still with you..."

"Of course...why?" Her cheeks tinged pink and she muttered something too low for even their demon hearing, "Don't tell me you and him..."

"No, no wn aln all the layers of Hell! It's just that once he walked in on me in the hotsprings....he didn't look away....I had to send him flying....right into your bedroom if my aim was correct."

"That's why he refused to tell me what happened and here I thought Inuyasha had done it."

"I figure he knew how you felt about me even if you wouldn't talk about it, he probably wanted to live." She smiled, "Come on, I want to get the two of you alone....now!" A silver cloud in the shape of a rose formed under them and she began the trip to the palace.
