Chapter two

To Be or Not To Be...Pray

Sesshoumaru's proposal had boosted her ego slightly but not much. She knew that if and when she said yes she would become his, forever.
In his heat he would hunt her down and have her however he pleased. No male would touch her, or dare come near her knowing she was his mate, the Great Western Lord's mate.
Now standing at the edge of a protruding cliff high over a forest below; she pondered the positive and negative of becoming the Western Lord's Mate.
Negative: total Submission....
Positive: Being more power…but did she really want it?
Negative: body guards...did she really need them?
Positive: she could still travel where she pleased. Or could she?

She was still undecided when she finished debating and still hadn't come any closer to a yes or no then she thought after thinking. She needed to talk to someone...she didn't know who but it would be a female. Growling under her breath she sniffed the air and caught Inuyasha's scent, perfect. She would talk to one of the human females...
Leaping off the cliff she called her green cloud to her and floated towards their scents.

Dropping down at the side of the spring Kagome and Sango were in she crouched with a frustrated and confused look on her face.
She was so silent that they didn't hear her until she spoke.
"Would it be wise to become Sesshoumaru's mate?" she asked looking at the girls.
Both screamed and spun around covering their bodies.
Inuyasha sprang forth but Kagome stop him with a command.
"Sit!" she cried dropping deep into the water with Sango.
"Inuyasha go away, its only Tikya." she shouted at him.
"Woman next time you scream I'll leave you to die at the demon's hands." he snapped angrily walking away.
Kagome huffed and looked away.
"Did you say you were going to marry Sesshoumaru?" Sango asked stunned.
"No, I merely asked if it would be wise to mate with him, in a way to you humans yes it would be marriage." she told them sitting now cross legged.
"Are you nuts?!" she cried out at once.
"Sesshoumaru is a cold hearted demon who doesn't care about anyone but himself." Kagome sputtered in shock.
"I've gone over the good and bad about it but I still can't come to an answer for him." she told them. "He told me he only wanted me. And for someone like him to say that and even let me decide is unbelievable. I've had feelings for him for over sixty years but I know that he has changed greatly since his father's death, he blamed it on me at first..." she said now looking down at the ground, at her feet.
"You want to be his pray when he wants to rut with you?" Sango asked. "You’re willing to totally submit to him when ever he asks?"
Tikya furrowed her brow slightly. "That is a female's job to submit during mating." she said lifting her head slightly to look at them.
The girls were just sitting there in utter shock and dismay. Both knew the legend of Lady Tikya and how she destroyed Ryu's army and rescued the Great Lord Inutaisho and how many demons she slaughtered, let alone the part about her taking over her Father's territory by killing him.
She was willing to give her freedom and will up to that cold demon of a Lord?

Giving a heavy sigh Tikya stood and bowed to the girls.
"Thank you for your time. I shall send my answer to Lord Sesshoumaru..." she said with a half smile.
She went to go but Kagome stopped her.
"Wait. What is your answer?"
Tikya simply smiled a bit sadly. "I can't be alone anymore..." with that she was gone in a leap over the trees.
Kagome stood from the water and stood wide eyed.
Sango just stared at nothing in shock. After telling Tikya everything bad about Sesshoumaru she was going to say yes to the demon.
Kagome dropped back into the water beside her friend and both sat staring at nothing; they looked like soulless shells with their mouths open.

Tikya ran through the forest only a blur to all eyes until she found who she needed.
On a branch above a river sat a young male raven demon. His arms were his wings with hands at the end and his hair was jet black like his eyes and tied back. He was hunting but she did not care.
"Kagori." she said sternly and with out emotion.
The young demon faltered in his perch and fell into the river. He climbed out angrily and stared at her. His face changed seeing her and he bowed in a kneel.
"Lady Tikya." he said addressing her.
"Take a Message to the Lord of the Western Lands for me. After you deliver the message I will reward you with whatever you wish. Name your price." she told him.
"Lady Tikya I wish nothing of you, being in your presence if reward enough." were his adoring words.
"Very well." Take this message to Lord Sesshoumaru, he is somewhere near his lands by now." he nodded and stood to hear her message.
Tikya whispered it in his ear and he stepped back in shock then nodded and took off into the air towards the west. Now Tikya would prepare herself for what was to come, she was sure it involved pain...with Sesshoumaru that had to be involved one way or another.
