PART 3
Sango was never the one
to hold her liquor. After two glasses of wine she was feeling warm and giggly.
She talked about her past; she told the vampire all about how they fought
against Naraku and how several of their friends gave their lives in order to
protect their world.
Vincent heard the love in
her voice that this woman held for her companions and it made him feel like an
outsider… again. He wanted to have someone to care for him just like that. The
wine bottle was empty now and he could see the red roses on his new friend’s
face. She looked so happy. He wanted to be happy too. ‘Perhaps I should
accept her help and try and get on with my life even if I am in a new world….’
And if he could get her to be with him he could also be with… His stomach
tingled at the thought. ‘Dear Shiva… I’m turning into a man-slut…’ He
mentally groaned.
“So Vincent-san, what is
your story?” asked Sango as she sipped the last of the wine from her glass. She
saw the disturbed look in his blood red eyes and it made her feel a bit uneasy.
Perhaps she had been talking too much? Ayumi-san was rubbing off on her. That
girl could most likely talk a man to death if she put her spirit into it.
Vincent smiled a bit and
told her his story. It was no more than fair that he did. He knew that she
wouldn’t judge him or accuse him for making things up. He put his hand into his
pocket and found a couple of Materia-spheres. He wondered if they would work in
this world. He decided he would try them later when he was alone.
Sango listened when her
new friend told his story. He and his friends had also fought a great enemy. An
enemy that threatened to take out the whole world with his powers. She could
feel tears in her eyes as he told her that this person most likely was his own
son. He told her that after they won the battle he had taken up his residence in
an old mansion in which basement he slept for a very long time. The well he had
investigated was located in the middle of a town called Nibelheim. The villagers
had said that monsters had come from it and they had asked him to help them out.
“And you know what
happened after that…,” he ended his story and smiled sadly.
“We have met very similar
fates, you and I,” said Sango and rose to her feet. She threw a glance at the
clock on the wall behind the bar. It was really late and she probably should
head back to the shrine. ‘Or I might be faced with two very angry and
possessive dogs…’ she thought and rubbed the dizziness from her eyes. But
she still had a new friend to take care of. Where should he sleep? Where should
he live? ‘Well, I just have to take him with me I
guess.’
Of course the
inu-brothers would have a fit, but Sango couldn’t care less about what they
thought. This man was lost in this world just as she had been when she arrived
here. She knew that he needed a firm ground to stand on and she would be that
anchor for him.
“So, what do you think of
coming back to the shrine with me?” asked Sango once she had decided that it
would be for the best.
“I do not think that it
would be wise,” said Kyouji as he came to take away the empty bottle and the
wine glasses. “Your demon friends will not like it.”
“And since when do I care
about them? They are a pair of possessive dogs. But of course, I could take
Vinny-san here to the doctor’s office and get him a few shots against rabies,”
snorted Sango irritated, her hand waving about to show her irration.
“Sango-san, I still think
you’ll be making a mistake,” said Kyouji and scratched the back of his head. He
was really concerned. He had met the dog demons a couple of times and he was not
that old that he didn’t remember how love looked like.
“I will come with you
Sango-san, and if your friends cause trouble I am quite capable of taking care
of my self,” said Vincent and rose to his feet and held out his hand to guide
Sango out from the booth.
Kyouji sighed; he knew
that when Sango had put her mind into something, she was not going to change her
opinion. Not very quickly anyway. He saw them disappear into the night. He still
was sure that her demon dogs would throw a fit when she came home with that
stray cat. But it was not his problem. He turned the sign so it said closed and
then he locked the door and went back to the bar disk and poured himself a large
whisky.

Sango was a bit unsteady
on her feet as they walked back to the shrine. Vincent was the quiet type; she
had already figured that part out, but this quiet?? The man did not say a word
and it made Sango just a tad nervous. He was holding a steady grip around her
arm and she could feel him look at her every now and then. That warm heat his
red eyes emanated was enough to put her female body into a shivering heap of
hormones. Something she of course blamed her celibacy for. ‘Self induced
forced celibacy, I might add,’ said her body with a pouty voice. ‘If I
had anything to say I would have tried to seduce that demon lord and his
brother… but oh, no – you just have to act all high and virtues… no life, no
sex… you suck Sango!!’ the voice continued to throw at her and she blushed
and forced herself to calm down a bit.
“Well, Vinny-san, you
think you can handle my watch dogs when we come back to the shrine?” asked Sango
in order to break that unnerving silence.
“I do not think that they
should pose any trouble at all,” said Vincent and tried to smile reassuringly
towards the woman next to him. She smiled a bit goofily and then she stopped to
look at the sky.
“You know Vincent-san… I
don’t like the skies in this world. You can barely see the stars because of all
the artificial lights and the pollution of the air. Sad isn’t it?”
“Yes, that is
unfortunate,” Vincent agreed and followed her gaze towards the dark heavens. “We
did not have these many lights in my world. The only place that had many lights
was a place where you could gamble and bet on Chocobo races.”
“C-chocobo-races??”
”Chocobo is a kind of bird. A very large bird and with proper breeding you could
get them to travel over mountains and even over seas. Quite the animal if you
ask me.”
“I say… although… my
Kirara-chan was an amazing animal too. She could fly you know. It was thing I
loved the most. I could fly with her. Up there in the skies I was queen…”
Vincent saw tears in
Sango’s dark, green eyes and he put his arm around her shoulder and pulled her
into a comforting embrace. He could smell that light eucalyptus smell that
lingered around her and he found it to be very pleasant. She did not use heavy
perfume to hide her own scent. He liked that, he liked it very much. He could
feel her shiver a bit in his arms and he found himself wanting to turn back time
so she could be with her friends again. But he was no magician; he was just a
former Turk, a hired killer. But he could give her some form of comfort, this
much he realized and drew strength from that very fact.
But their intimate moment
was disturbed.
= * = * = * = * = * = * = * = * =
“Well, well… isn’t this
sweet..? A man is comforting his girlfriend…”
Vincent turned his head a
bit and saw a gang of seven people gather around them. He stiffened a bit and
his hand went inside his cape to grab hold of one of his guns, but he was
stopped by the fact that the gang already had several guns pointed right at
them.
‘How many?’
whispered Sango so quietly that it was only Vincent that heard her. He answered
her that they were seven. ‘When I say duck, you duck –
got it?’
Vincent nodded, but he
was not sure what Sango was planning. How could she go against seven people,
five of them with guns? But since this was her world he had to let her take
charge of the situation. ‘Just stall them a little bit longer…’ Sango’s
soft voice echoed through his ears and he nodded almost invisible again.
“Excuse me gentlemen, is
there something I can do for you?” he asked as his red eyes searched out the
leader and found him just to the left him.
“Well, you could start
with givin’ us yer wallet and her purse or what ever she has her money in,” said
the man and smiled. The street lights showed a yellow, toothy grin. “But then
again, yer gal there looks mighty fine, perhaps you could hand her over as well…
let us have somethin’ to lighten up the night?”
“Our money you can have,
but you will not place a hand on my wife,” said Vincent and tighten his hold on
Sango. ‘If you only were my wife, Sango…’
“A hero boy ehhh? Well,
we know how to cure such idiots,” smiled the leader and Sango heard a stiletto
knife be brought into the light.
‘Vincent –
DUCK’,
she whispered forcefully and Vincent fell to the ground. He could hear Sango
move quickly and he turned his head and saw how Sango moved faster than the
speed of light.
The change of scene
shocked the men that had circled the pair. They had expected the man to do
something rational, but fall to the ground and let his wife take care of things
was not on their list of things to happen. Suddenly the woman was behind their
leader. She had wringed the knife from his hand, breaking the bones in his
wrist. He screamed in pain and Sango smiled evilly and pressed the blade against
the man’s throat. Small drops of blood appeared under the blade but Sango was
not scared so easily.
“Give up or I will paint
the pavement with your blood,” Sango snarled and made her point by forcing the
knife closer, letting more blood drip from the wound.
Vincent saw this and got
the queue to get up, he joined her side and from his red cloak he produced a
rifle and soon there was a small pile of weapons on the ground. The other six
men of the gang looked between Sango and Vincent, their eyes large and widened
with fear.
“Vincent, my darling,
please keep an eye on this guy for me will you?” Sango asked sweetly and Vincent
nodded. He could feel shivers run up and down his spine as he saw the predatory
look in her eyes. She was up to something.
Before the men were able
to comprehend of what was happening around them, Sango had put their lights out
and then she turned her attention to the leader. She snorted disgusted of what
she saw.
“Vincent-san, you can let
him go – he will not do anything to us. The bastard is so scared that he has
pissed his pants.”
Vincent stepped away and
saw that Sango spoke the truth. ‘Safety in numbers, separate them and they
are defenceless kittens…’ he thought and his hand fisted and punched the
leader right in the face. And you could never be too careful around assholes
like these ones. Better to be safe than very sorry.
Sango found a phone booth
and made an anonymous call to the police, saying that she had witness a fight
between rivalling gangs and then she hung up.
“So, you now you know
that I am not a helpless woman who needs to be saved all the time,” said Sango
with a nervous laugh. ‘Now I just have to wait for him to say that I am not
feminine enough or something like that.’ That had been the story of her
life. Ever since she had been a young girl of 12 she had heard from the male
members around her that she was always too strong, to masculine. Too much for
one man to handle…. She mentally sighed as the memories washed over her.
“The women in the group I
travel were just like that. I respected them very much and I respect you Sango.
I respect you very much and I will not step in the way for your fights,” said
Vincent and he missed the little flinch on her face.
‘Just like all the
others…’ she though in
defeat and looked up at the stars again, trying to forget his words. But she
couldn’t. They had already burnt a hole into her heart. She realized that they
were not far from the shrine now and any minute now she would be faced with the
inu-brothers wrath.
But amazingly they didn’t
show up and Sango showed Vincent the way into her room through her window. She
could see that he was a bit weary but she told him that they would not dare to
intrude her personal space. And especially not after what she had threatened
them with through Miyuki this very afternoon. No, they would be alone here in
this room. This room was her sanctum. He nodded and sat down against the wall
under the window. Sango moved to lie down on the bed. Just pulling the blanket
up to cover her midsection.
“Well, a girl needs her
beauty sleep… Good night Vincent,” mumbled Sango as she closed her eyes.
“Good night Sango-san,”
whispered Vincent. ‘And you have no need for beauty
sleep….’
= * = * = * = * = * = * = * = * =
Miyuki was about to enter
the bathroom when she saw the two brothers sit outside of Sango’s room. She
scratched the back of her head and her eyes wandered between them. No, she was
not dreaming, this was a real case scenario.
“What’s the matter boys?”
she asked softly.
But all she got was a
dark growl from both Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha.
“I don’t speak dog this
early in the morning, translate please,” she snapped. Even a mature mother such
as herself could only take so much this early. She needed human language to
understand what was going on.
“He’s in there with her,”
said Inuyasha.
“W-what? Who’s in there?”
“That creature from the
well, he’s in there with her. And we can not enter her room,” said Sesshoumaru.
‘So they respect her
personal space that much, that’s good to hear,’
thought Miyuki. And that was good, she had no reason to fear that the brothers
would force themselves upon her “adoptive” daughter’s privacy.
“Can’t,
Sesshoumaru-niisan??? Of course we can but…”
“Your balls are in
danger, yes, yes I know that little gruesome fact, Inuyasha. But I don’t think
you should worry too much. Sango is a grown woman after all; she knows what
she’s doing. So why not come down stairs with me and have some coffee and I’m
sure that Sango will explain it all when she comes out later,” said Miyuki and
pulled her robe tighter around her body. This was going to be one very
interesting day she decided.
Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha
looked at each other and then they rose to their feet and followed Miyuki down
stairs to the kitchen. When Miyuki used that voice it would be better to obey.
None of the brothers would ever admit it, but Higurashi, Miyuki could pack one
hell of a mental punch if she so wished.
= * = * = * = * = * = * = * = * =
And from Souta’s room
three faces peaked out. Three very curious figures emerged to investigate what
was happening outside in the hallway.
“Rin-chan, what’s up with
our daddies?” asked Shippou and looked confused.
“I’m not sure,
Shippou-kun but I think that Sango might have found another man she wants to
mate with,” said the young girl and looked just as confused. She had been so
very sure that the woman she had tried to get used to be her mommy suddenly had
shown interest in someone else then her dad and her uncle. It was so confusing.
“Ewww, so Sango have
three boyfriends??? Yuck!!” Shippou’s response got Rin to giggle and Souta to
chuckle a bit. Shippou was still at the age where girls and kisses and such were
yuckie.
They moved back inside
Souta’s room and began whispering about the new fellow that seemed to have
caught the demon slayer’s attention.
= * = * = * = * = * = * = * = * =
Sango awoke with an awful
taste in her mouth. She rose to her feet and dragged herself into her bathroom
to brush her teeth. She was just half awake and had still to notice the red
clothed man that appeared behind her. She rinsed and dried off on a towel and
then she turned around. The turn around was followed by a soul piercing scream.
Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru
spit out their coffee and flew to Sango’s room, knocked down the door, their
swords raised in order to protect their woman, their alpha female. But the sight
that met them gave them another reassurance that Sango was more than capable to
take care of herself. But at the same time, that very sight was very disturbing
to them.
Because Sango was sitting on top of the man that had come out from the well
house yesterday. And… and she was holding his hands. Inuyasha sheathed his sword
and grabbed hold of Sango and pulled her away from the black haired man while
Sesshoumaru put his sword against the other man’s chest.
“Get up,” snarled
Sesshoumaru and saw the man stand up in front of them.
“Sango, are you alright?”
asked Inuyasha and put an arm around her waist and pulled her close as he pushed
his nose into her neck to breathe in her scent. And this in return earned him a
slap right across the face, followed by a screaming
HENTAI!!
“She has not lost that
touch since we came here,” stated Shippou who had come to Sango’s rescue as
well, but seeing his father and uncle there already he found that he was not
needed so he walked down stairs to inform Miyuki-baachan and the others that
everything was ok.
“Explain what happened,”
ordered Sesshoumaru as his red tinted eyes followed Vincent as the man sat down
on the toilet.
“I think I scared her
while she brushed her teeth. I thought she was awake, but…”
“You just don’t walk in
on a woman’s time in the bathroom you… you… pervert!!” yelled Sango as she
pushed Inuyasha away again. “And you two – did you have permission to enter my
room??!!”
Inuyasha gulped and
stepped away and he could see that Sesshoumaru looked just a tad nervous too.
“GET OUT!!! NOW!!!”
screamed Sango and pointed towards her destroyed door.
Three men loomed out of
her room with their “tails” between their legs.
“ARGH!!! I HATE MEN!!”
she yelled as she slammed the bathroom door
behind them.
“Is she like that every
morning?” asked Vincent as he sat down in the kitchen. He was still upset that
he had scared her out of her wits, but he had been sure that she had been awake
and seen him stand there.
“Pretty much.” Inuyasha
held his golden eyes on the man that have had the privilege to sleep in the same
room as their woman. He couldn’t smell anything out of the ordinary, but he was
annoyed by the fact that his coat was drenched in Sango’s scent. That he did not
like at all and he knew that Sesshoumaru shared those thoughts with him.
Miyuki sighed and mumbled
about young boys that never learned.
‘I resent that, I am
not a young boy,’ thought
Sesshoumaru and put up his icy façade to the woman who had become so close to
him. His golden eyes rested on the red coated man. He had always admired
beautiful things and this gunman was certainly something that was easy on the
eyes. The demon lord had relaxed a bit when he realized that this man did not
pose a threat to the female slayer. But he was competition for her attention and
Sesshoumaru was not sure that he liked it.
And as they waited for
Sango to calm down and come down stairs they were told the story about how
Vincent came to be here. Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru became worried. The well
seemed to be connected to other worlds and if monsters came up from the well he
had gone into, it could mean that it could happen here too.
“I don’t think it is a
frequent thing though,” said Miyuki as she served breakfast. “You have been here
for over two years and it never happened anything during this time. I think this
is a very special exception.”
“You might be right,
Higurashi-san, but I still think we should be on our guard in case it happens
again. Next time it might be someone or something that is evil,” said
Sesshoumaru. “Either Inuyasha or myself should be present at the shrine at any
given time. We can protect you in case there’s trouble.”
Inuyasha nodded. His
brother was right. He looked at the newcomer. Sango was not a fool; she wouldn’t
taken in the man if she thought he was dangerous. And if he came from another
world he had no where else to stay. Inuyasha sighed inwardly. The shrine was
getting crowded.
Vincent could feel the
golden gazes from the two dog demons and cursed the fact that his cheeks were
beginning to warm up. He lowered his head to hide most of his face under his
large coat.
“We know that you’re not
completely human, do you want to explain that?” asked Inuyasha and frowned when
he smelled something he only could describe as arousal and it was coming from
Vincent. It was strange and one look at Sesshoumaru told Inuyasha that he could
smell it too.
Vincent flinched a bit.
He was not very eager to tell them about his past, but if he ever were to be
accepted by them he had to tell them. So he told them about the experiments, he
told them about the demons he had accepted into his body and that he could
transform into these beast if he got worked up enough.
“Could they pose a threat
to my family?” asked Miyuki who had listened to the young man’s story with
interest. She could see that it was very painful for him to talk about it, but
he was a honest soul so he had shared his past with them.
“No, you have become…
friends,” said Vincent quietly and hoped that they would accept him as a friend.
“Good, that was all I
wanted to know. And you are welcome to stay here for as long as you like,” said
Miyuki and patted his back reassuringly. “You can help around the shrine if you
like. There is always need for another pair of hands around here.”
And Miyuki’s words were
final. Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru could not go against her if she had decided
something. They sighed and knew that there was going to be some problems in
gaining Sango as their mate. But why was the man drenched in the smell of
arousal??
= * = * = * = * = * = * = * = * =
Sango sat in the water
filled tub. She was beginning to think that things were getting a bit too
complicated for her likings. She had been scared out of her wits when Vincent
had walked up behind her while she was brushing her teeth. And she had yelled at
Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru when they only wanted to protect her. That was not very
nice at all. She rubbed her head before ducking under the water. ‘Perhaps all
this is just a strange and bizarre dream and I will wake up soon?’ she
thought and felt the warm water surround her face as she slid deeper into the
water.
But as any living
creature, she needed air so she came up again. ‘I better clean up and head
downstairs. I’m sure they want to hear about what happened yesterday…’ she
drew in a heavy breath and went about to shampoo her hair. She had no desire in
telling them anything but Sango knew that they wouldn’t leave her alone until
she did. She would really have two guard dogs hanging around her head. She
thought about what Kyouji said the night before, that it wouldn’t be wise to
take Vincent with her back to the temple. She snorted a bit; it seemed as if
they were getting along just fine. She thought that because she didn’t hear any
yells or things getting broken.
‘And what was that
Vinny had said… that they had a claim on me?? I don’t think so. Those two dogs
couldn’t find a bone in a graveyard and even less to put a claim on me.’
Sango sighed and dried her hair before putting it up in a loosely tied bun. She
pulled on a pair of blue jeans and a white sport bra and then lastly a white
t-shirt. She walked barefooted down to the kitchen and saw the men get along
just fine. ‘Good boys…. I knew you could behave like
civilised people.’
“Good morning, dear
Sango. You look as if you want to hit something, is there something wrong?”
asked Miyuki sweetly and held out a cup of coffee to the slayer.
“Well, it would a whole
lot better if I wasn’t disturbed this morning,” Sango mumbled and gratefully
took the cup. She had become rather addicted to the black stuff. “So, what
happens now?”
Her eyes made a once over
on Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru and Vincent. They looked at her and then at each other.
“We take one day at a
time,” said Sesshoumaru. “We have come to an understanding and Higurashi-san has
offered Vincent to stay here at the shrine if he wishes to do so.”
“That’s good. Now if you
excuse me, I need to make a phone call.”
“Who are you going to
call?” asked Inuyasha quickly.
“That is none of your
business mister!!” snapped Sango and twirled around and put her nose into the
air and walked into the hallway and picked up the phone and called Ayumi.
“Don’t you worry boys,
she will not run off again, she just need some time with another girl. Girl talk
you know,” said Miyuki and patted the devastated hanyou on his shoulder. “I
guess that Ayumi-chan will be on her receiving end today. But you need to tell
her or otherwise you might loose her to someone else.”
= * = * = * = * = * = * = * = * =
Indeed, Ayumi was told a
story that was taken out of a fairytale. Sango had decided to spill everything
to the young woman that once had been Kagome’s schoolmate. Sango told the whole
story while gulping down coffee and then some beer at Kyouji’s place.
“I mean… you have the
right to know, you’re my friend and I wanted you to know what really happened to
Kagome-chan. I miss my friend Kirara very much, I have had her as a companion
since I was a little girl and….” There was no stopping the flow of words that
came out of Sango that day.
Ayumi was not sure if she
was to believe what Sango told her. It was just too amazing to be true. But she
shot a glance at Kyouji and he nodded. Ayumi could feel her stomach move
uncomfortable. She was talking to a woman who had lived on slaying monsters,
real monsters and demons. And Kagome had been a real priestess, a miko. Half way
into Sango’s unbelievable story Ayumi had to have something stronger than just
coffee. Kyouji smiled knowingly and served her an Irish Coffee.
“So you see, Inuyasha and
Sesshoumaru are not humans. Inuyasha is a half demon and Sesshoumaru a full
demon and when he’s angry he’s pretty scary. Otherwise, they’re like little
puppies.”
Yes, Sango was getting
really drunk and Ayumi began to smile as the slayer slurred a bit on her words.
“So that guy that came to our school is not like the rest of us?”
“No, he has these cutest
puppy ears. I swear I could do anything just to get to rub ‘em. And Sess, well
he’s doesn’t have any puppy ears, but he got this tail thing going on. You’ve
seen it; it’s that fluffy thing he always carries around… I really want to touch
it but I don’t dare to do it. He will probably cut off my hand if I tried
anything like that.”
Sango began to giggle
before continuing the story of how she had found a new friend that had come
through the magic well. “You see, this guy look just like a vampire from one of
your movies or something. Pitch black hair, blood red eyes. He wears a red cape
and has a claw instead of a right hand. And gorgeous, I swear he’s just as good
looking as Inuyasha and Sess. I’m surrounded by gorgeous killing machines…”
The last part came out
with a groan and then she buried her face in her hands. It was the truth though.
Sango was attracted the all three of them. “Gods, I’m such a slut…”
Ayumi almost choked on
her Irish Coffee and cleared her throat before saying anything but then she gave
Sango a piece of her mind. “Sango-chan, listen here – you are not a slut. I have
seen both Inuyasha and Sess and I promise you that there is not a woman with a
pulse that wouldn’t find them attractive. Any healthy woman would probably feel
just the same as you do now and if this vampire is just half as attractive as
your two friends, well, he is indeed a danger to the female race. And you are
not a slut if you like them all three. Hell, I’m envy you and if I were you I
would try and bed them all three!”
Sango’s eyes widened when
she heard Ayumi’s last words. “You’re kidding me right??”
“No, this is not
something to joke about. I am very serious and from what you have told me, it
looks as if your dogs are quite taken with you too. So I say – go for it girl!!”
Kyouji smiled behind the
bar. Ayumi was never the shy girl. And if she could get Sango to get it together
with her boys, well, he would be happy. Sango needed someone in her life. She
needed to release some of that sexual tension that was brewing in her body. Ok,
call him a dirty old man but even a demon slayer needed sex from time to time.
And living with two dog demons that looked like Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru, he was
surprised that she hadn’t done anything sooner to get them into her bed.
“And how should I go
about doing that??” asked Sango and sipped the last of the beer in her glass.
She waved to Kyouji to refill it for her.
“I don’t know… but why
not drop some hints that you’re interested?” said Ayumi.
“Well, I can walk right
up to them and tell them I want to mate with them and have their puppies. That
would probably do the trick or it will get me killed.”
“Well, you could wait
until the holidays are over and then try and seduce them. I’m sure that you all
have a lot to do before Christmas. Find them a present that tells them that you
love them?”
Another giggle came from
Sango, this time a little bit more hysterical. “Yeah, I could wrap myself up for
them?”
“Tomorrow afternoon after
you have dealt with that hangover of yours I will take you shopping. I’m sure we
can find something very special for your boys,” said Ayumi and smiled gently and
patted Sango’s a hand in comfort. “And trust me; we’ll make sure that your boys
will get along just fine.”
“Yeah, yeah.. You know –
I will probably regret telling you all this because if something like that is
ever going to happen I will not be able to walk afterwards,” said Sango and
smiled goofily.
“And I think I should
call a cab and take you home,” said Ayumi. She had still trouble believing all
of what Sango had told her, but then again, why would Sango make up such a
story? No, Ayumi didn’t think so and seeing Kyouji’s nod earlier, she was sure
that Sango was telling the truth. And why would a guy carry around a furry boa
like that unless it was his tail? And when she visited the next time, she would
try and get Inuyasha to show her his ears. ‘If they are
as cute as Sango-chan says, I just want to touch them….!!!’
Ayumi paid Kyouji and
asked him to call a cab. Since she had several drinks she didn’t feel safe to
drive. Better safe then sorry.
“She’s telling the truth
you know,” said Kyouji when Sango lulled into the women’s bathroom.
“I suspect as much.
Sango-chan wouldn’t lie, I am not sure if that woman is able to lie. Sure she
has not told me anything abut the demons and her past. But she has not lied
about them.”
“Your ride is here. Take
care now girls and I will see you around ok?” said Kyouji and held up the door
for them as the girls stepped outside and into the cab. They waved and then they
were gone.

Ayumi knocked on the door
to the Higurashi house and it was opened by Inuyasha. He saw the goofy look on
Sango’s face and he could smell the alcohol around her. He pulled her out of
Ayumi’s hold and picked her up.
“Don’t worry dog-boy,
she’s just drunk. I couldn’t get her stop drinking,” Ayumi said with a crocked
smile. “Just get her to drink some water and then get her to bed. I am sure she
will have a killer hang over in the morning so go easy on her. I will be back
tomorrow afternoon.”
“Why? Why do you think
we’ll let you take her out again?” asked Sesshoumaru who had appeared next to
Inuyasha.
“Because we’re going
shopping for Christmas presents,” said Ayumi. “So take good care of Sango-chan
for me.”
And with that she left
the two growling men behind her. ‘No, not men, demons. Sango said that they
were demons. And that fluffy thing just have to be a tail, I’m sure of it.’
Everything seemed surreal but give it a thought or two more it was beginning to
make a lot of sense. ‘Well, now that I have all this
information I’m sure I can help Sango-chan get them together.’
Ayumi rubbed her hands
and began laughing. Ohh, how she loved to match up people.

Inuyasha carried Sango up
to her room. He tried to ignore the fact that her hand was pulling at the
bandana that covered his ears from view. Right behind him was Sesshoumaru and
Vincent. After that Sango left they had taken the time to get to know each other
a little bit better. They had all agreed that they found Sango to be very
attractive. A wild cat but very loveable.
“Ehh, Inuyasha… I wanna
rub your ears… can I rub your ears?” mumbled Sango as she placed her head
against Inuyasha’s shoulder. She caught a whiff out of his scent and she
giggled. He smelled just like a forest she decided.
“Sango, I don’t think
that’s such a good idea,” Inuyasha said with a choked voice. He tried not to
think how it felt to have her fingers in his hair, to have them rub his ears. He
was trying to ignore that her breath was fanning over his neck making his grow
goose bumps.
“But I know you like it,
I have seen you let Shippou-chan do it. Why do you let him do it but no me??”
she whined and squirmed to be let down.
“Be still woman,” growled
Inuyasha and almost ran the last few metres into Sango’s room. He dropped her
onto her bed and he turned away, his face flushed.
“Party pooper,” pouted
Sango and removed her jacket and threw it on to her chair that was not far from
where she was sitting. “But Sess… come here so I can pet your tail!! You want me
to pet you don’t you??”
Sesshoumaru’s eyes
widened when he heard the bold request from the demon slayer. “No.”
“Sheez… what will I have
to do to get you to let me pet you?” she asked and lied down on the bed and put
an arm over her eyes. She waved her other hand to get them to get out of her
room. They had killed her good mood very effectively.
They saw it and stepped
out of her room. Their mate to be was drunk and it would be for the best if they
just let her sleep it off. Otherwise there would be things happening that they
probably would regret the next day. But seeing that flushed and very seducing
look in Sango’s dark green eyes was making things very hard.
But they were gentlemen
this evening and walked out on her.

A killer hangover. The
term was now a cold hearted fact for Sango. Her head was pounding and her mouth
was like a desert. ‘My god, who the hell used my mouth to eat cat shit last
night?’ she wondered as she staggered into the bathroom to brush her teeth
and take a shower. In her bathroom cabinet she found a bottle of painkillers and
swallowed two along with some water. ‘I wonder if I said anything yesterday…
I know I spilled the whole thing to Ayumi but after that things are a bit
fuzzy..’ Sango groaned and stepped into the shower.
‘I probably made a total ass of myself.’

Sesshoumaru had heard
Sango get up and get into the shower. She was awake early this morning but then
again, she had been put to bed pretty early last night. Since he was the only
one up besides Sango he decided to make her some breakfast. He was sure it would
get on her better side. He made coffee, French toast and poured orange juice
into a large glass.
He saw her come into the
kitchen, dressed in a pair of grey sweat pants and a huge black t-shirt. He
could see that she felt just as bad as she looked. The demon lord smirked and
held out a cup of coffee to Sango.
“Did you have fun last
night with that suicidal female?” asked Sesshoumaru and watched Sango intensely.
Sango flinched a bit and
began ever so slightly to suspect that she indeed had done something very wrong
yesterday. She eyed the demon with wary green eyes but she didn’t answer him.
Instead she put the cup to her lips and took a deep sip from the hot drink. She
was not going to fall for some stupid trick. ‘And how is it possible for a
guy to look so impeccable every hour of the day?’ There had not been one
morning she had seen him with tousled hair or bags under his eyes. And he always
looked so regal in his traditional outfit. Not a wrinkle could be seen on his
kimono. It wasn’t fair you know.
She was surprised to see
that Sesshoumaru had made her breakfast. He made a gesture and she sat down at
the table and enjoyed what he had made for her. The orange juice was gone in
just seconds. The food, the coffee and the painkillers were doing wonders to her
poor pounding head and it wouldn’t take long until she was back to her normal,
morning-grumpy self.
“After I came home, did
something happen?” Sango asked after finishing her breakfast. Her face was
slightly flushed and she refused to look at Sesshoumaru as she asked him the
question.
“No, nothing happened.
Inuyasha carried you to bed and you fell asleep,” answered Sesshoumaru and it
was the truth, part of it anyway.
“I didn’t say anything
stupid did I?”
“No, nothing stupid. But
now we know that you seem to be an animal friend,” came Inuyasha’s voice from
the doorway. He had heard Sango come out of her room and he decided he wanted
greet her a good morning as well. He was dressed in his baggy red pants and a
white t-shirt. He had refused to give up his fire rat outfit. Although he often
walked around without his haori when he was at the shrine.
Sango turned her head
towards the rough voice and she saw Inuyasha look at her with humour in his
golden eyes. ‘What the fuck does he mean by that??’ she thought with
slight panic.
“Want to rub my ears,
Sango-chan?” purred Inuyasha and leaned over the table, tilted his head a bit so
it would be easy for her to rub his ears if she wanted to.
Sango stuttered and got
hastily off her chair and tumbled backwards towards the fridge. “W-what??”
“And you’re free to pet
my tail anytime you wishes to do so,” said Sesshoumaru and took a step closer to
the panicking slayer. “You don’t want to? You seemed very much eager to pet us
both last night”
“G-get away from you
perverts!!” gasped Sango and was about to take flight to her room but was caught
by a pair of strong arms. She yelped and looked up and drowned in a pair of
blood red eyes. “Gods, what did I say to you that you will make me pay for
today?”
“Nothing unfortunately.
Perhaps you can come up with something today instead?” asked Vincent and smiled
so you could see a pair of glimmering k9-teeht.
“You have gone mad, all
of you!!” she yelled and stepped hard on Vincent foot. The pain she gave him was
enough for him to let go of her arms and she ran to her room.
= * = * = * = * = * = * = * = * =
“Papa, you shouldn’t do
that to Sango-san,” said Rin with scolding voice when she came into the kitchen.
She had heard everything from the living room where she had been from early that
morning. She loved those animated series that was shown on the telly. And next
to her came Souta and he looked just as scolding at Inuyasha.
“Yeah, Inuyasha, you will
probably regret that you teased Sango like that. You’re going to pay for it once
she has calm down. Calmed down, but not cooled down. And you Vincent-san, you
should be more careful around Sango. You don’t earn the title taijya for nothing
you know.
The two pyjama-clothed
teens looked sternly at the men they thought of as fathers and at the person who
had come to live with them. Then they shook their heads and went back to the
living room. The three men frowned and took each a cup of coffee and walked
outside. This matter needed to be discussed. They needed to have some form of
wooing plan if they were to get on Sango’s good side again.
= * = * = * = * = * = * = * = * =
Sango was walking back
and forth in her room. She was in total denial at the moment. She refused to
believe that she had said any of those things yesterday. True, she had been
drunk but she would never, never, say such bold things to the
demons that shared her home…. and her heart. ‘But why would they make up a
thing like that if it wasn’t true?’ she asked herself as she stopped her
pacing for a short moment and looked outside her window.
There in the Zen garden
that Sesshoumaru and Jii-chan had made she could see the three handsome men sit
down and they were talking. This caught her curiosity and she found herself open
her window just so she could stand next to it and listen to what they were
talking about.
But they sat too far
away, Sango couldn’t hear a thing and she closed the window again. And she
wasn’t really the snooping kind of girl anyway. She sighed and walked over to
her bed and fell down on it. ‘Did I really asked if I could rub Inuyasha’s
ears? Did I really put my life on the line and ask Sesshoumaru if I could PET
his tail???’ It all seemed so unreal. It was not her to be so forward.
She knew it was true that
she wanted to do such things, but go about and ask IF she could do it, that was
a total different matter. ‘Dear Gods, what have I done??’ And if she knew
Inuyasha, he wouldn’t leave this alone.
And then there was the
matter with Ayumi and her suggestions. Sango blinked as her head was having a
back flash of memory from the day before. Ayumi had said that Sango would bed
them – all three of them.
“OH, GODS!!” she
groaned and turned to hide her flaming red face in her pillow. This was just not
happening to her; in a few moments she would wake up and realize that it all had
just been some stupid drunken dream and nothing else.
But as the minutes ticked
by she didn’t wake up and Sango had to face the facts that it had been real.
‘Perhaps it would be for the best if I just disappeared from the face of the
Earth?’ She sat up in bed and processed that last thought a couple of more
times. It could be an idea. She could run away, just for awhile until things had
settled down again and they had forgotten all about her little stupid outburst.
She nodded and began planning. She would need Ayumi’s help she gathered but she
was sure that the spirited young woman would help her out, reluctant, but she
would help her.

Outside in the Zen garden
sat Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha and Vincent. They looked at each other and every now
and then they shot a glance at Sango’s window.
“You know, this is rather
pathetic,” said Inuyasha after a few moments of silence. “We lust for that woman
up there and yet we can not do a thing to get her. I don’t think she’ll agree to
be our mate.”
“I know that there a few
demons left in this world, little brother. And as far as I know – we are the
only ones that still carry the dog demon blood in our veins. It is our duty to
continue that legacy and Sango is the only one that has proven her self strong
enough to be our mates,” said Sesshoumaru solemnly.
“That woman… she’s the
first person to look me in the eyes and not flinch. And she’s a good fighter.
And since she took me in and gave me a place in this world I will stay by her
side as long as she will let me. If you mate her you will have to accept that,”
said Vincent darkly. He had given himself a promise that he would protect Sango
at all cost even if it meant giving his life for her.
“We know, but she feels
something for you too, Vincent-san,” said Inuyasha. “It’s complicated…”
“Yes, very complicated.
Sango is a woman with high virtue and I do not think that it would be easy to
persuade her to be shared between us three,” said Sesshoumaru and noticed that
Sango was moving around in her room again.
Vincent red eyes widened
when he heard Sesshoumaru’s statement. Had he heard the lord correctly? Had the
lord just said that they would share Sango if she gave them permission?
Sesshoumaru noticed the
shocked look in the gunman’s eyes and he smirked a bit and explained to Vincent
that a female demon could have several mates. This would provide safety for the
pack. The female didn’t have to fear attacks from other demons if she was in
labour and their little ones would have several fathers to look up to for
protection.
“But Sango-chan is human,
not a demon,” said Vincent. The only other time he had heard of such things were
in the animal kingdom, but there it was different. A male could have several
females and he alone ruled the pack. Here it seemed as if the woman was the
leader of the pack.
“And that will make it
difficult to get her to be our mate. She has other standards and before we came
here to this world it was said that she would have married a monk named Miroku.
A very perverted monk and she had trouble with him going around groping other
women’s asses and ask them if they wanted to carry his children,” said Inuyasha
and scratched behind one of his ears as his heart was filled with sorrow. He
missed that bouzo from time to time.
“Yes, I have heard about
him, Sango-chan told me the whole story earlier,” said Vincent with a frown.
“She will have objection
to be the mate to three males,” said Sesshoumaru. “And there is another thing
with this mating business as well…”
Inuyasha smiled secretly
when he saw Vincent look at his brother with intense red eyes.
“And what is that?” asked
Vincent.
“The males are also mates
with each other.”
