Ok, this is going
to be a bit short. I�m kinda on a road trip at the moment and so I won�t be
updating quickly, even if you do use the evil puppy dog eyes! So HA! I hope ya
enjoy! Sorry for the mini-ness. >o<

Chapter 3: Tsk,
tsk, tsk
�Sesshomaru!�
Sesshomaru glanced
behind him to the girl who cried his name. He took a moment to appreciate the
way her eyes lit with fire as she kneeled to the ground, making a smaller
target as he had taught her, and pulled back the string to her bow. He watched
a blue spark dance across the arrow�s shaft to light the head in a flame of
energy. Her hair flickered with her power right before he turned himself away
from the great badger demon he was attacking to allow her arrow to strike past
him and into the chest of the demon. It screamed in furious agony before the
arrow purified the flesh from its bones leaving behind nothing but marrow and
blood.
Sesshomaru cast an
uninterested eye over the remains of the badger demon waiting for it to twitch
so it could hit it with his poison whip again. The beastie had dared to attack his ward! The foolish,
incompetent, insignificant demon that it was thought that all the power in its
engorged body was more than Sesshomaru and his pack, the fool.
Kagome and Rin
were riding atop Ah-Un, Kagome to rest her aching muscles from the hours of
training Sesshomaru was putting her through, and Rin to keep Kagome company by
letting the older girl braid her hair. Sesshomaru had a moment to realize that
a demon aura had appeared beside his pack before the badger burst from the
trees and took a swipe at the girls. Kagome had already grabbed Rin and rolled
off of Ah-Un�s back leaving the claw to graze her shoulder. Kagome ignored her
wound and picked up Rin as she ran away from the badger demon. Sesshomaru stepped
between the badger and the girls and attacked the offending beast.
The next thing he
knew arrows were flaming their way across the battle in a completely random design
not hitting even close to the demon. He snarled when one of them came close to
him, he thought he had taught her better, but he didn�t want to take his eyes
off his query to bark at her. Something was making the beast faster and
stronger than normal, but in the end he would die for trying to harm his ward.
�Sesshomaru!�
She cried only to be ignored by the proud dog demon. He heard her snarl. �Yo, Sesshomaru! Get the hell out
of there! Listen to me you big jerk!� He moved away from the badger, not because
she said so, but because he wanted to glare at her without having to worry
about stray claws coming at him.
He looked at her
angry eyes and the blood on her face and realized she was beautiful right when
she clapped her hands together and the arrows that made a circle around the
badger flamed and sent a shockwave through the demon making it howl in pain,
apparently those books he had sent for were worth something. The badger demon
snarled at the girl with the lopsided grin before it charged her. Sesshomaru
intercepted the badger and Kagome quickly helped him finish it.
He glanced as
Kagome walked up beside him to stare at the body of the demon. He watched her
as she scanned the remains from top to bottom before smiling and reaching into
a particularly thick pile of blood and demon goo. He
raised an eyebrow at her as she stuck her tongue out and dug around in the
stinky mess.
�What are you
doing, woman?�
Kagome glared at
him. �The demon had a jewel shard, fluffy.�
Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes at her as she let out an �ah hah!� and removed her
stained hand. She opened her fist to reveal a piece of the jewel that looked to
be made of five different shards. He watched in secret awe as the dark tint of
the jewel turned a bright pink as she purified it. �Hmm�maybe this was why I
wasn�t able to sense it or the shard before it attacked.�
�Explain.�
Kagome sighed.
�This is a very large amount of jewel. With it any simple demon could learn to
mask itself, you know, confuse its own aura so it could hide in plain sight,
kinda like what you do, only this would be weaker.�
�Of course it is
weaker, that was a lowly demon and I am a taiyoukai.� Stated
Sesshomaru as he straightened his already stiff posture.
Kagome rolled her
eyes. �Duh. Just never mind.� She stood up and wiped
her hand on the hakamas he had forced her to put on.
She was very avid about sticking to her whorish clothing and not wearing any
type of hakamas or haori until she realized that he
didn�t want her to wear priestess garb. She then smiled happily and said she
would be honored to wear anything he saw fit for her to wear.
He watched her
start to walk to where Rin was coming out of hiding and shook his head. She was
strange, complaining about spilling food on her clothes then wiping demon blood
all over them. He�d have to get her changed immediately; the blood would
attract other low demons and animals.
�Get undressed.�
He commanded. Kagome turned around slowly and looked at him like he had grown a
second head.
�Excuse me?�
�You heard me, get
undressed.�
Kagome gripped her
shirt in her hands and took a step back. �No!� she said incredulously.
Sesshomaru raised
an eyebrow. �You will get undressed immediately, miko.� He watched her face
pale a few shades and wondered at the delicious fear that spiked her scent. He
could hear her heart beating faster and faster in her chest and knew that she
was about to run from him. �Running would be very unwise, miko.�
Kagome gulped as
her eyes darted frantically from side to side looking for an escape. �Why must
I get undressed?� She asked with shaky breath.
�Because you wiped
that blood all over your pants and now you�re a walking target for anything
with an empty belly and sharp teeth.�
Kagome�s color
came back and her body relaxed almost instantly. �Oh! Well why didn�t you say
so? Weirdo, freaking me out like that!�
Sesshomaru barely
contained his desire to sigh. �What did you assume I meant?� He smiled inwardly
at the blush that danced across her cheeks. He found he could make her blush
easily and had begun to make a game out of it.
�U�um, I dunno. Nothing I guess�. it was just a weird command!� She
turned her back on him with a huff while crossing her arms. You�d think by now
she would know better.
Kagome pouted as
she tried to calm her nerves, hiding her heated cheeks from Sesshomaru. How can
he not know what she would think if he asked her to take her clothes off? She
was about to shake her head at him when a low growl came from behind her. Every
instinct in her body suddenly went on red alert as the low vibration tickled
across her body.
Shit. She turned her back on Sesshomaru
again. She kept forgetting that she couldn�t do that. She did it all the time
with Inuyasha, but he was accustomed to being treated with disrespect,
Sesshomaru was a taiyoukai and turning her back on him was a physical
declaration of her challenging his authority.
She was about to
turn around and bow low to him when he was suddenly right behind her. She could
feel his clothes brushing against her back and knew he was only a breath away.
Her mind ran frantically away from her as she tried to think of something that
would placate him. His growl deepened and she knew that just standing there
with her back to him was not helping matters. She didn�t want to make any quick
movements in case he was too far gone and decided that she had become prey
instead of adversary but she couldn�t just stand there doing nothing.
Kagome gulped then
took a small step back pressing herself against Sesshomaru�s chest. She then
tilted her head to the side as far as she could, baring
her neck to him in submission. It seemed to have done something because he had
stopped growling at her, but he was unnaturally quiet.
She felt him shift
right before his clawed hands gripped her upper arms. She fought her body�s
desire to tense up, trying to stay as loose and limber as she could while
standing up. She tried not to shake in fear, hoping that her smell only gave
away nervous fear of the submissive instead of the fear of prey. She really
didn�t want her throat ripped out just because she forgot about not turning her
back on him.
She stayed still
as he bent over her and placed his head by her throat. He hovered there for a
moment over her vulnerable flesh and she had a moment where she thought that
this was it, she was going to die because she was stupid. Then he placed his
lips against her skin and licked her. She nearly jumped at the contact then
relaxed completely against him when she realized he had accepted her
submission.
He then wrapped
his arms around her as he continued to lick the crook in her neck, paying
special attention to the pulse thrumming just below her skin. Her heart started
beating faster and her nerves danced across her skin for an entirely different
reason. He started nibbling her neck and purred low in his chest trying to
soothe her and tell her he wasn�t going to hurt her.
Her nervousness
danced across his tongue as he tasted her. He was pleased when her fear disappeared
and she melted into him so he continued his ministrations to reward her quick
submission. He was surprised at the flavor: clean, rich and delicious. She
tasted like vanilla and for a moment he lost himself to it. Her scent spiked
and her flavor changed, and although it wasn�t unpleasant he liked the vanilla
better and didn�t want her to be afraid of him.
He pressed himself
closer to her and grazed his teeth across her skin showing that she had nothing
to worry about, that he had control of himself and wouldn�t hurt his bitch. He
purred against her when this didn�t work immediately and began tracing her jaw
with his tongue and lips. Her scent changed again adding a deeper taste of
vanilla in with the nervousness and he smiled against her skin. He liked the
taste of her arousal and continued across her jaw while tracing the planes of
her body with his fingers.
�S�Sesshomaru?�
Kagome asked nervously. He froze when her sweet voice touched his ears. She
turned her head a bit to the side so she could look into his eyes and was
surprised to see the great taiyoukai blinking away red rimmed hazy eyes. She
licked her lips and waited for him to make a move, watching him closely for
signs of demonic transformation.
She breathed a
sigh when his eyes bled to its pure gold. He flicked his eyes up to hers and
she caught her breath. She didn�t know what emotion he was showing her but
whatever it was, it was intense. She forgot to breath
for a moment as he just stared at her. She didn�t know what to do and so simply
waited for him to make his move. A strange calm filled her as she realized that
she had nothing to fear for whatever he chose it was ok with her and she had
faith in him to keep her safe.
Sesshomaru didn�t
know what had overcome him or why he had so easily lost himself to this simple
girl. He fought for control over his demon self. What was it that made him lose
it? Why did he always feel unsure around this simple female? Even during their
training sessions he felt something inside himself as he watched her
continually push herself to learn what he had to teach her. He felt something
when he saw her implement his teachings accurately. What was it? What was she
doing to him?
He looked into her
eyes for answers. She was looking at him with caution and slight astonishment.
He searched her eyes as she searched his and he watched when she came to her
conclusion and everything about her relaxed and softened. A smile played at her
lips as she waited for him and everything in him screamed to make her his in
anyway he could.
Sesshomaru�s eyes
went back to their cold state and he straightened himself. He blinked at Kagome
before he stepped away from her and walked over to Ah-Un where Rin and Jaken
were arguing about something or other. Kagome watched him go and not for the
millionth time wondered about the puzzle of Sesshomaru.

Hope you enjoyed! Will update soon�.ish. yep. Don�t worry evilness will be afoot soon. Naraku will
make an appearance and Inuyasha will too being all �neeeh,
kaagoomeee!� actually he wont be that annoying� we�ll
see where they take me. Since Kags and Sessh took me here, I guess they kinda�like each other. Ooooo. I
can�t wait to add drama, that parts so much fun! Gah!
