Kagome traces her steps back to the meadow garden while making small talk with Shippo trying to make him more comfortable. He seemed very shy at first, not willing to say more than a few words- which Kagome found amusing considering how much he talked about his treasure- until he finally started to warm up and talk more freely. They were both laughing when they entered the village and some of the villagers near them noticed.
“Kagome! We were so worried what happened?” A woman with a child on her hip asks while eyeing Shippo with distrust causing him to shrink down on Kagome’s shoulder
Kagome sees this and picks Shippo off her shoulder before cradling him in her arms protectively, “I was simply getting herbs” Kagome says in a snippy voice
The woman sniffs and turns throwing over her shoulder, “The lords and lady of the house of inu arrived and Kaede is entertaining them at your hut”
“Really!? Crap!” Kagome turns and runs towards her house with Shippo looking up at her questioningly
“What’s wrong Kagome?”
“The people we are throwing the festival for are here and I'm not even dressed yet” Kagome answers while running up the path to her hut
She shoves aside the bamboo mat in the doorway and dashes across the main room not even aware of the other people watching in shock as she slips into her room to get ready

Sesshomaru’s eyes widen when he realizes that the holder of the wonderful scent is a ningen wench.
‘A very beautiful wonderful smelling ningen wench-’
‘Be silent!’
Sesshomaru growls quietly at his beast as he looks at the young woman, her raven hair going in all directions with a few leaves and twigs here and there, her kimono covered in dirt spots. His eyes go to the fox kit cowering on her shoulder, and his hackles rise. Its common knowledge that foxes and dogs don’t get along well, almost as much as dogs and cats or dogs and wolves. Sesshomaru sneers at the kit as they disappear behind another bamboo mat that leads further back into the hut.
“Who was that?” Inu- Taisho asks, his eyebrows raised
“My daughter” Kaede answers sipping her tea just as Kagome reemerges in a completely different Kimono her hair pulled up in a bun with a few strands framing her face. Her new kimono is a simple yet beautiful one, the majority of it is white, but on the sleeves cherry blossom petals seem to rain down and they continue to do so on her back.
‘The color brings out her blue eyes’ Sesshomaru thinks distractedly before reprimanding himself, ‘that wench is not worth my time’ He tries not to growl when his beast snorts
No one notices his inner turmoil because on the outside he looks calm and collected. Kagome drops down next to Kaede before smiling brightly.
“Sorry for being late I was attending important matters” she says hugging the kit to her chest, like a child would a stuffed animal, though the kit isn’t complaining.
Sesshomaru is shocked at the surge of jealousy he feels at seeing the kit squished to her breasts. What is it with this girl?
Kagome feels someone burning holes into her face so she turns to look only to gasp, “You!” at the same time Inuyasha growls it.
“Bitch don’t you know it’s not lady like to run through the forest and knock over people?” Inuyasha asks with a glare baring his teeth
“I should say the same to you” she presses a hand to her mouth, “oops you’re not a lady darn I forgot, you sure fooled me” she smiles brightly.
Inuyasha snarls and leaps to his feet, and Sesshomaru’s muscles tense in preparation to behead the offending male who dared to attempt harm on his female, when his father growls at Inuyasha causing his ears to flatten to his head as he sits back down. Sesshomaru sits stunned, his beast referred to her as his female, he glances coldly at the girl who is now blushing and mumbling apologies.
“I'm sorry I don’t know what came over me” she stammers.
“It’s all right dear he deserved it” Inu- Taisho says with a chuckle, while Izaiyoi sits with her fan in front of her face her eyes cold.
“Dad!” Inuyasha cries, “how could you side with her!?”
“She was simply defending herself” Inu-Taisho answers before smiling at Kagome, “now tell us why you two seem so friendly” he says sarcastically while grinning, already knowing this girl will bring endless amounts of entertainment
Kagome’s eyes flare up and she explains how her and Inuyasha met heatedly, pausing occasionally to exchange insults with Inuyasha. Sesshomaru feels his interest for her grow the more she speaks making his father laugh in a deep bellow, and Izaiyoi to grip her fan until her knuckles turn white.
‘What an odd onna’ Sesshomaru muses
‘She is our odd onna’ His beast purrs
‘She isn’t our anything’ Sesshomaru growls 'and we don’t want her to be either’
‘You can only fight it for so long’ his beast says before retreating into the back of his mind
Sesshomaru snorts softly. As if he would ever want anything to do with a filthy ningen onna. Humans are pitiful creatures, useless really. He looks at his father when he begins introducing everyone.
“Kagome, my dear that was wonderful” he says with a chuckle, “I really needed that laugh”
Kagome’s cheeks turn a rich red color as she mumbles a thank you before smacking her forehead, “duh! Silly me, I didn’t get your names or introduce myself” she grins, “Hello I'm Kagome, adopted daughter of the village leader Kaede.”
“Nice to formally meet you Kagome, I am Inu-Taisho lord of the house of Inu” he gestures to Izaiyoi, “this is my second wife Izaiyoi” she stares coldly over her fan before looking away, “you have already met Inuyasha, and this is Sesshomaru heir to the house of Inu” Inu-Taisho finishes gesturing to Sesshomaru, who Kagome just seems to notice.
Her eyes go wide as she looks at him and stammers out a greeting. Sesshomaru has to resist puffing up like a peacock at her obvious ogling before he says in a emotionless voice, “you will refrain from staring at this Sesshomaru.”
She doesn’t miss a beat, “I was deciding whether or not to tell you have booger hanging out of your nose” she retorts before standing and smiling Kaede, “I'm going to go see if they need any help setting up” she turns and walks towards the door waving and looking over her shoulder, “nice meeting you, hope you enjoy the festival.”
While everyone watches her leave Sesshomaru uses the distraction to make sure the girl was bluffing, before huffing silently. Stupid onna, talking to this Sesshomaru like that. He stiffens when he hears a young male’s voice call out Kagome’s name outside, desire clear in his scent. Sesshomaru just barley stops a growl from erupting from his mouth, as his beast paces in its cage.
‘Go out there and get that male away from our bitch!’
‘She isn’t our bitch’
‘Stop being a stubborn ass and go get her!’
Sesshomaru forces his beast back into its cage making it go silent as his mood worsens. This female is trouble, he thinks as he feels his hackles rise when he smells arousal enter the males scent and fade as they walk away from the hut. He has to resist the urge to run after them, snatch her away, pin her to the nearest tree, and fuck her until her throat is raw from screaming his name.
He can just imagine how sexy she would look, hair all mussed up from his hands, eyes glassy with arousal, her breath coming out in pants as he slams into her tight… wet… hot…
He shakes his head when he feels his arousal building. No she is a ningen, a disgusting human who thinks she can talk however she wants, and has no class what so ever. He notices his father shooting him questioning glances but ignores him and stares at the wall. I will not let this stupid bitch get to me.

A/N~ sorry this chapter was short, my muse wasnt inspired but I wanted to get another chapter in so here it is, I hope its not total crap. blah blah blah reviews inspire my muse, more blah.
In the next chapter koga and kikyo will be making an appearence, and things will spark up between our favorite miko and dog demon.
