After supper was finished Sango asked, “Rin would you come help me with the girls wile I pack for the trip?” InuYasha thought that something was up, but could not place what it was so he stayed quiet waiting to see what his group had planned. Rin got up and left with Miroku and Sango to help with the kids about ten minutes after they left Kagome got up and said, “I’m going to take a bath in the hot spring.”
Turning to Kaede to ask, “Where do you keep the bath soap?” Kaede replied, “I think ye left some of your soap here, it’s in the trunk over in the corner.” Kagome went to the trunk and sure enough there was two bottles of both shampoo and conditioner, while getting these she saw her favorite body was and grabbed that also and asked, “Can I borrow a set of these miko robes in the trunk?” Kaede said, “yes child they are yours to begin with, had them made just for ye after left for the final battle in hope of ye taking my place as village miko when I pass to the nether world. When ye did not return from the battle, I kept them hoping ye would return to us in time for me to train you to replace me. Now child ye wanted a bath go have ye a good long soak.”
She was about to step out the door when InuYasha said, “Don’t forget your towel and ill walk you to the hot spring and stay in hearing range till you are done.” She turned blushing and said, “Oops, thank you InuYasha I did almost forget my towel.” She went to get one and then went back to the door and waited for InuYasha to walk out first she turned to Kaede and smiled at her then turned to leave with InuYasha. Walking to the hot spring in total silence was making Kagome nervous about what she would do to get saiai hanyou.
InuYasha was breathing in Kagome’s delectable scent. When he smelt her nervousness, what shocked him the most was her arousal, wondering why she was nervous and aroused, but was too nervous to talk to her? Still trying find to right words to ask her to become his mate. Just as InuYasha was about to ask her, they arrived at the hot spring, he let out a long low sigh to low for Kagome to hear, then said, “Call to me when you are done and then we can walk back. Turning to leave he heard her say “OK.”
She waited till he was just passed the trees to start removing her blue and red mini skirt and white shirt white knee length socks and shoes. Standing in just her underwear she called sweetly, “InuYasha.” As she waited for his return to the hot springs she removed her underwear.
InuYasha was cussing himself for being a coward for not asking her to be his mate, hoping to have the courage to ask her before they got back to Kaede’s he was about to jump up into a tree when he heard Kagome call his name so sweetly. Turning to go back, wondering what she wanted. InuYasha came to a lager tree near the hot spring, standing behind it so not to see anything in hopes of not being sat for looking he asked, “ What do you WANT wench? You can’t have finished your bath yet it’s only been three minutes.”
Kagome sighed at the gruffness of his voice, blushing as she asked, “Would you like to join me in the hot spring?” Standing there with mouth and eyes wide in shock praying he was not hearing things. He slowly entered the clearing to see a naked Kagome waiting for him. Mouth watering at the site in front of him he walked to her hoping that this meant she would say yes to becoming his mate, but he had to know either way before this went any further.
Dropping to his knees he asked “Kagome, will you be my mate?” With hope and nervousness in his voice. To relieve some of the nervousness she could hear in his voice, she started to play with one if his cute dog ears as she answered “hai!” happy he had asked her, before she had to ask him.
