Pearl felt Sesshoumaru pull out, but instead of letting her recover on her own he pulled her back into his arms and onto his lap.

Inuyasha watched as the servants returned and wondered if he could indeed rut one or more of them while still being courted by his brother. He hated being so inexperienced and really wanted to explore a bit more before settling down to being with only his brother and Pearl.

Sesshoumaru watched his brother watch the females and could read his thoughts pretty easily since the same idea came to him as well.

“Inuyasha you are free to explore and have sex with whomever you see fit until we have officially mated. I have had years of experience and I doubt Pearl would mind if you chose to try something new for a time. Just know it is temporary and you gave your word so I expect you to keep it.”

Sesshoumaru said surprising Inuyasha.

Pearl smiled and kissed Sesshoumaru’s cheek.

“I would be happy to teach the young Lord some things.”

One of the young servant girls said with a smile in Inuyasha’s direction.

Inuyasha blushed and muttered a ‘Keh’ under his breath.

“Maybe later. Right now I am hungry.”

Inuyasha said as the servant girls helped the three of them dry off.

The three of them stood naked waiting for the servants to dress them. Inuyasha also had to wait for the tailor to come adjust the male kimono to his size. Sesshoumaru would also commission some more kimonos to fit his brother. The shoe maker was also making Inuyasha’s boots and he would have a set of boots for Pearl made for her female samurai kimono. With the taxes coming in Sesshoumaru figured he could afford some luxuries for his intendeds.

“Sesshoumaru you seem to be a bit stressed.”

Inuyasha said as he looked at his brother.

“It is nothing.”

Sesshoumaru said swiftly. He just wished financially he was better off. The West was prosperous, but not as wealthy as the East and South. He needed to find a way to bring in more money which meant leaving his intendeds while he battled bandits and the occasional lower demon.

“Don’t tell me it is nothing big brother. I know better.”

Inuyasha said and Sesshoumaru frowned. He then figured his intendeds should know why he wasn’t lavishing them with trinkets and things.

“Financially the West is not doing so well little brother. We have had war also and that is costly. This month’s taxes mainly have to go to my men and to help build the roads. I need to expand our territories to increase revenue.’
“In order to gain more money for now I will have to eradicate the bandits in the area and remove some pesky lower demons in order to insure the villages paying us can continue doing so.”

Sesshoumaru said.

“What about diamonds? Are they valuable?”

Inuyasha asked.

“Yes, diamonds are extremely valuable.”

Sesshoumaru said.

“Well I know where a ton of diamonds are at and it is in the Western lands. We can mine them and I can produce more when we battle if ya want.”

Inuyasha said and Sesshoumaru smiled.

“That would be most helpful Inuyasha.”

Sesshoumaru said.

“Well my adamant barrage produces diamonds. It will only do it though during battle and if the demon is at least strong enough for the power to work with my sword. I also wouldn’t mind killing some bandits although humans are rather easy to defeat.”

Inuyasha said with a shrug.

“Can I come? I promise I won’t be in the way and maybe you can teach me some things about my powers besides just the spells.”

Pearl asked.

“I don’t want you to fight Pearl, but we can see how well you do with a bow and I can teach you some things with a dagger. I don’t mind you defending yourself, but you will not battle like a male.”

Sesshoumaru said and Inuyasha agreed. Kagome was always getting herself injured in battle and he did not want that to happen to Pearl.

Pearl nodded as the servants dressed her in a light pink kimono with little white flowers embroidered into the fabric.

Sesshoumaru was dressed in a dark blue kimono with dragons embroidered in silver thread throughout the silk with the exception of his family crest on his right shoulder.

Inuyasha was in a kimono that was black with the family crest in blood red on his right shoulder, but the kimono was much too big on him and it practically drowned him.

As they waited for the tailor Inuyasha explained where the diamonds were and it would be a bit difficult to get to them. However with Sesshoumaru’s ability to fly they would be able to get to the cave where the diamonds were stored. He just wondered how they were going to be able to get the huge things out of there. It wasn’t like his adamant barrage created small shards.

The tailor arrived quickly this time and looked at the young male hanyou.

“I have something that will fit him now my Lord. I doubt you wish for one of your fine kimono’s to be altered.”

The tailor said as he pulled out a bright red kimono that seemed a bit plain until you saw the silk itself. It shimmered in the light giving off a slight rainbow effect.

“It is beautiful.”

Pearl exclaimed as she touched the material.

“It is a new material we are experimenting with. It is silk, but with a metallic sheen. Will this do for the young Lord?”

The tailor asked.

Sesshoumaru nodded yes and the servants came back to help Inuyasha undress and put on this new kimono as they took the one he had to press it again for future wear.

The tailor adjusted the hem on the hakumas a bit for Inuyasha’s short stature and then he had Inuyasha choose an obi to go with his new kimono. Inuyasha picked a plain gold obi that also had the metallic sheen to it.

“I need five more kimonos made for my little brother. You have excellent taste Lin so I will assume you can make these proper enough for a Lord of the West. He will also bear the crest of our family so this kimono will have to be adjusted for that.”

Sesshoumaru said looking at his little brother who looked stunning in his new kimono.

Lin nodded and packed up his things.

Inuyasha was about ready to go eat when the servants came over with brushes and combs to comb the Lord and Lady’s long hair.

Frowning Inuyasha sat while the females combed his long locks and inquired about pulling them back away from his handsome face.

“Maybe some of it.”

Inuyasha muttered. He really wasn’t into all this fancy shit, but his brother insisted.

When the females were done adding the oils to his hair they brought the mirror over for Inuyasha to look at himself. Inuyasha was surprised. He never really looked at himself before. With his hair up like this he looked a lot like Father other than his wide golden eyes which were a trait from his dear Mother.

“You look very handsome my Lord.”

One of the servant girls said with a blush.

Pearl agreed. She thought Inuyasha looked incredible and very much like his Father’s portrait.

Sesshoumaru had his hair combed to perfection and chose to leave it down, but he did notice his little brother’s appearance and was pleased. Inuyasha now looked like a Lord and all he was missing now was the boots and armor. Right now Sesshoumaru did not have enough to have armor made for his little brother, but with the diamonds he would.

Pearl’s hair took the longest as it was pulled up into three buns on the back of her head with beads cascading down the back. Inuyasha thought Pearl looked like a true Princess and was honored she wanted him as a mate.

Sesshoumaru had the servants put on his armor before they left the room to go meet with Sesshoumaru’s Mother at the dining room. Sesshoumaru was curious on how to do the seating arrangements since he wanted both of his intendeds next to him, but he did not want his Mother’s feelings to be hurt by making her move from her usual place.

When they got to the dining hall Louna was sitting in the second chair over holding Ramos’ hand as he sat next to her. He was still bandaged up, but he was healing well enough that he could return to his duties soon.

As Sesshoumaru went to sit Ramos went to get up and Sesshoumaru gave him a look that meant he was not to move.

“Ramos I am assuming you are courting my Mother. Is this correct?”

Sesshoumaru asked.

“Yes Sire. I love you Mother very much.”

Ramos said looking into Louna’s eyes with pure love in them.

“You will sit with her at this table during mealtimes and until you both are mated know this. I will kill you if you hurt my Mother in any way and I will never call you Father.”

Sesshoumaru said making his point clear.

Mother beamed in happiness. This meant Sesshoumaru had given his blessing and Ramos also smiled knowing he would never call Sesshoumaru son. It would be too strange to do so anyway since Sesshoumaru was older then he was by at least one century.

Inuyasha just chuckled. It was funny as hell that Sess’ Mom was getting mated to a demon half her age and he was sure that Ramos would slip up at some point calling Sesshoumaru son.

As the food came out Inuyasha’s mouth watered. He knew Sesshoumaru was making sure his portion sizes were large since he wanted him to gain weight, but Inuyasha wasn’t sure that it was going to work so easily. He had always been thin and it didn’t make him any less strong than any other demon man.

Kagome said that carbs were what made people gain weight so things like rice and bread were good to eat for gaining weight. Also fruit had a lot of sugar in it so Inuyasha took a lot of the fruit and ate it rather quickly since he liked the sweet taste of apples.

“We need napkins here.”

Pearl said noticing Inuyasha using his sleeve to wipe off his mouth from the apple juices.

“What is a napkin?”

Sesshoumaru asked and Inuyasha was intrigued as well.

“It is a cloth used to wipe ones mouth and to place on ones lap so that food does not get on your clothing. Rags would work, but for formal dining it is best to use something like cotton in nice shades to match the china.”

Pearl said.

Sesshoumaru bid one of the servants forward and had them go get a few clean kitchen rags for them to use. Especially for Inuyasha who was the messiest eater out of all of them.

The servant came back quickly with the rags and Inuyasha, Mother, Ramos, and Sesshoumaru watched as Pearl placed it on her lap. They too did the same.

When Inuyasha went to use his sleeve again to wipe his mouth Pearl reminded him of the napkin and decided it was time to train her men in proper dining room etiquette since Sesshoumaru also had a little bit of blood dribbling down his chin.

Sesshoumaru used his long tongue to lick the blood off, but Pearl insisted that he use the napkin to wipe off the saliva from using his tongue. Sesshoumaru did so and then continued eating enjoying the spiced boar meat.

“I wish we had maple syrup so I could make us pancakes for a change.”

Pearl said and Inuyasha’s ears perked up.

“I had pancakes before at Kagome’s. They were so good. Do you really know how to make them?”

Inuyasha said and Sesshoumaru watched the exchange.

“Yes, I do.”

Pearl said.

“Well if you wish to have the chef make other fair for you then you may show him or tell him how to do it. You will not be cooking Pearl.”

Sesshoumaru said since a Lady did not go into the kitchens unless she was checking on the cleanliness and updating the menu for guests.

“I can explain it to him. They really are easy and hash browns are too. You do have potatoes that grow here do you not?”

Pearl asked.

“Yes we have potatoes in the gardens of the castle. We have a whole vegetable section and herb garden.”

Sesshoumaru said although it was more of a hobby for his Mother then actually used for food since youkai mainly ate raw meat.

After finishing the meal Pearl was sent to the various trainers and Inuyasha followed Sesshoumaru to where the best bones were kept.

Sesshoumaru transformed into his dog form and proceeded to chew on a particularly large femur bone while Inuyasha found some rib bones to chew on effectively cleaning their teeth.

The chewing of bones went on for a good hour before Sesshoumaru finished with his and transformed back into his humanoid form.

“Inuyasha would you like to learn how to read and write?”

Sesshoumaru said.

“Ya I would.”

Inuyasha said happily.

“I do have some Lordly duties I must attend to today since we are expecting some guests this week from the East, but I do have some time to teach you some things. Then I want to have you go to Jaken and learn our history.”

Sesshoumaru said.

Inuyasha groaned. He hated Jaken. The little kappa was a pain in his ass.

“Do I really have to listen to him squawk at me?”

Inuyasha said in frustration.

“You wished for an education like my own Inuyasha. If you are to be a Lord at my side you need to know many things about our culture and history. Jaken may be annoying, but he is knowledgeable little brother.”

Sesshoumaru said as he led Inuyasha to his study where he had another pile of paperwork to go through. Mainly it was land treaties and a few complaints he had to respond to. Nothing that would take all day, but annoying none the less.

Pulling out a scroll Sesshoumaru had Inuyasha practice the basics starting with the alphabet. Then they would move onto simple words and later sentences. For now though Sesshoumaru wanted to keep things as simple as possible.

“Perhaps Pearl can also teach you to read little brother. She will have more time then I will today.”

Sesshoumaru said.

Inuyasha nodded and continued to work on the letters before him until he wrote them properly which wasn’t easy.

After writing them several times, Sesshoumaru had him work on simple common three to four letter words.

Inuyasha wrote these words several times before he had enough and wanted to do something else.

Sesshoumaru told Inuyasha to go see Jaken since Pearl would be in the library with the kappa at this point.

A servant took Inuyasha to the library while Sesshoumaru sat down at his desk putting Inuyasha’s scroll away for later use and proceeded to work on the pile of paperwork he had before him.

When Inuyasha got to the library Pearl was sitting looking at Jaken like she wanted to kill him.

“What do you mean you haven’t started on those books?!”

Jaken yelled.

“I haven’t had time yet with the battle and everything else going on Jaken. Cut me some slack will ya!”

Pearl said tired of listening to the kappa drone on forever about how wonderful Lord Sesshoumaru was and how she should feel lucky that a demon of his caliber was going to take her for a mate since she was simply a lowly half breed.

Inuyasha bonked Jaken on the head.

“Stop yelling at Pearl before I kick ya across the room you stupid toad.”

Inuyasha said and Jaken was shocked to see the half demon brother of Sesshoumaru standing there.

“But you died!”

Jaken squawked.

“Well apparently I ain’t dead so shut the hell up!”

Inuyasha said as he sat down next to Pearl.

“Why are you here Inuyasha?”

Pearl asked since she was happy to see him.

“I apparently need to learn Inu culture and history to be a Lord so Sess sent me here. I don’t know what Jaken really knows about this shit, but I want the education that my brother has so I guess I’ll suffer through this.”

Inuyasha said and Jaken gave Inuyasha a dirty look.

“I know more then you can possibly fathom you young fool!”

Jaken went on to tell them both about the many years he spent with Sesshoumaru and how he became a vassal for his elder brother for more years then Inuyasha could imagine putting up with this annoying thing. Sesshoumaru had to be a fucking saint to put up with Jaken.

“And what does this have to do with Inu history?”

Inuyasha asked and Jaken sputtered which cheered up Inuyasha immensely. He loved riling up this little freak of nature.

After finally calming down, Jaken proceeded to drone on about Inu history and culture while he made Pearl take notes. Inuyasha did not know how to write enough yet that Jaken did not expect him to write, but he was to listen.

Inuyasha and Pearl after a while both started to get annoyed and bored. It had been two hours without a break from that annoying voice.

A servant girl soon came and bowed to them as Jaken looked frustrated at the interruption.

“I am sorry to stop this lesson, but the Matron requested you both for your next lessons.”

The girl said as Pearl and Inuyasha practically rushed from the room to go see the Matron. Inuyasha had no clue why she wanted to see him, but he would go see what the woman wanted from him.

As they got to the room where the Matron was waiting Pearl did a proper bow to the woman and urged Inuyasha to do the same. Inuyasha did not bow to anyone so he just stood there wondering what the hell was going on.

“Very good. Lords do not bow, they are bowed down to.”

The Matron said as she approved of this behavior and urged them into the room. She then taught Inuyasha how to eat properly. His elder brother did not usually mind his eating habits, but they were expecting guests so every time Inuyasha tried to grab the sushi with his fingers he was hit with the switch. It pissed him off, but he didn’t normally hit women.

“You will learn to use the chopsticks young Lord.”

The Matron said in a firm tone.

Inuyasha sighed and tried to use the chopsticks again almost dropping the sushi onto his lap. However after a while of this he got used to using them.

Then the Matron worked on improving both Inuyasha and Pearl’s communication skills. Pearl did exceptionally well since she kept her answers simple and to the point. Inuyasha was having a hard time though and he swore quite a bit as the Matron whacked him a few times with the switch.

“I’m gonna break that thing if you do that again!”

Inuyasha roared. He was sick of being hit.

“You will learn to speak properly or you will be reprimanded.”

The Matron said in a stern voice. She was not above taking the boy over her knee and spanking him as she had done to other young men who thought they could talk back to her.

“I do speak proper you witch!”

Inuyasha snarled.

“Inuyasha please calm down. I know this is hard for you, but please try for Sesshoumaru.”

Pearl begged since she really did not want Inuyasha to go off on the Matron who was really only trying to help him.

“Fine, but I don’t want to be hit again.”

Inuyasha said angrily.

The Matron tried something new and found Inuyasha was actually quite articulate when he was discussing battles he had fought in plus his language was down to a minimum. It was a work in progress, but by the end of the week she would have the boy speaking like a Lord at least around the nobles.

After they left Inuyasha wanted to go outside of the castle walls for a while and had Pearl bring one of her books with her so she could teach him how to read.

The two walked in the forest until Inuyasha found a good tree to sit in. He had Pearl hold onto his back as he jumped up as high as he could go into the treetop where he found a nice thick branch for them to sit on.

Pearl almost lost her footing, but Inuyasha steadied her then sat back against the tree having her sit up against him as he wrapped his arms around her.

It was almost like the times he had with Kagome and Inuyasha felt more at home in the tree tops than anywhere else. It was a safe place and he could see so far from here.

As they sat Pearl taught Inuyasha to read the words until he got bored since the book was rather boring. Pearl was glad he was tired of reading it since she too didn’t much care for how it seemed to repeat itself so much. Still for Sesshoumaru they both would read it.

Inuyasha felt the cool breeze on his skin and with a thumb caressed part of Pearl’s left breast. He was so happy, but he was also worried. Sesshoumaru would not wait forever for to take him and Inuyasha was nervous about that. It had hurt so badly when he had been raped. All five stupid human men had just shoved themselves in him and he had felt so dirty. It wasn’t until he turned back into the demon form that he attacked and killed them all. However not enough scrubbing could get their stench off of him and he had bled for a full day from their rough treatment.

“Pearl, how come you liked anal sex?”

Inuyasha asked.

“I don’t know Inuyasha. Sesshoumaru just hit this spot deep inside of me and it felt so good I never wanted it to stop.”

Pearl said as she caressed his upper thigh enjoying this closeness.

“When I was raped it hurt so bad. I bled and I couldn’t get the scent of the bastards who did that to me off. They just kept shoving themselves in me over and over again until I thought I would die.”

Inuyasha said as his ears drooped recalling that horrible night.

“Ever since then I hide on my human night. I try to make sure my scent isn’t picked up either. When I had my friends I let them take care of me, but I also eventually wanted to learn how to fight for myself. I did not want to be seen as weak as a human.”

Inuyasha said.

“Inuyasha you are not weak. You are strong enough to survive a horrible ordeal and many people would take their own lives after what happened to you. Trying to survive is not weakness and I am sure you are just as strong as a human as you are a demon. If nothing else, Sesshoumaru will help teach you how to better defend yourself as a human I am sure of it. He loves you.”

Pearl said turning to kiss those lips.

“Do you love me Pearl?”

Inuyasha asked.

“I feel strongly for you and Sesshoumaru. However I am just getting to know you both. It is going to take time for me to fully love you in the way you want me to.”

Pearl said as she caressed Inuyasha’s face as he nuzzled her hand.

“I love you Pearl. I know it. I am sure you love me and Sesshoumaru. You are just afraid to open up fully to us, but we will be patient.”

Inuyasha said as he held her tighter in his arms and relaxed against the tree closing his eyes recalling happy days with his little pack of friends.
