The air feels heavy. Kagura noticed, it was hard to see anything beyond the dark corridor, for a purple mist was spread between the decayed walls, and the more closer the Wind Sorceress would get to her creator's bedchamber, more dense was the amount of shouki emanating around. An ordinary human being wouldn't survive inside such hostile ambient. She chuckled, however. "Oh, he must be furious right now..." Kagura couldn't deny how that supposition made her feel satisfied.
The time is coming, I cannot delay it any longer Naraku reminded of his detestable nature. He had to choose the day when he would be in his original form, and the month was about to end. How could he had not separated a proper time for such annoyance? The fact he would need to abstain his presence just when his prey was in the arms of another predator made his mood get worse. "Kagura!" his irritated voice resounded by every corner of that part of the castle. Even not willing it a bit, his servant showed her face into that terrifying room where was the hanyo and her sister.
"Yes, master?" The mockery on her tone was more than evident, but Naraku pretended to ignore it, after all there was an important command to give, and so he did:
"I want you to watch Sesshomaru's group".
"What?!" Her eyes widened.
"I said, watch them" He spoke every word slowly, being didactic enough.
"I'll surely not be the one to mess around with him!" Kagura pointed to Sesshomaru's image on Kanna's mirror. "He's going to kill me"!
"Kagura, this is not a request" he warned her.
"It is not Sesshomaru and his vassals who you want me watching over, I know it well" The yokai's temper was uncontrollable.
"Kagura, listen to me carefully" Naraku stared at her, his voice sounding deeper than usual. "Sesshomaru is not the one you should fear, or did you forget it?" In the palm of his right hand, a pulsating sphere has materialized. The Wind Sorceress lost her flush instantaneously. "Once you tried to betray me, not long ago... Let's say that I am giving you another chance to prove me where your allegiance lies. So, tell me, what do you have to do"?
"Watch Sesshomaru's group" She answered succinctly, lowering her head and swallowing her pride.
"Very well".
The Wind Sorceress held her breath, feeling her legs tremble under the fancy kimono. She knew that confronting Sesshomaru would be the same as delivering her spirit into Death's hands. How strong that yokai was! What a pity he didn't accept the task to kill Naraku for her, releasing Kagura from that chains...

The moon was shinning high in the sky, accompanied by glimmering stars around. Annabelle opened her eyes just in time to appreciate such masterpiece of nature that nocturnal view was, surely it was far better to contemplate the dark veil of the night than to be locked inside so many nightmares.
She felt the surface where her back was resting move, it was Arurun laying over the grass. Anna looked around, noticing the vast, open field, there were a few trees, not enough for hiding them though. The lass had no idea of where they were now. A feeling of uncertainty kept pulsing inside her core.
There, not so far, Rin was dancing around Jaken, singing a funny melody, making rhymes with the little yokai's name, while he was crossing his arms and rolling his eyes, pretty much annoyed. Annabelle's gaze searched for Sesshomaru, he was out of sight though, yet not for long...
As she paid more attention on the spots of light on the firmament, the foreigner noticed one of them moving. At first, Anna thought it was a cadent star, but as it's brightness began to enclose, she realized that it was the daiyokai walking in the air, leaving behind an illuminated trail.
"At last you are awake" he said, still stepping in the highs, right in front of her. In his only arm there was a large, soft package, which he threw into the young lass' reach.
"Is it for me?" She asked in surprise, touching the bundle over her legs.
Sesshomaru nodded positively and turned away. Rin and Jaken finally had seen their lord and came to say hello. Soon the child said a loud and joyful "good night" to Anna as well, glad to see her safe. The red-haired smiled tenderly, and then started to untie the ribbon of that package. She opened the thin paper, at last seeing what was inside. It was a traditional garment of those lands, a beautiful kimono, patterned in light-blue and white, as it was a picture of a clear morning sky. The obi, on it's turn, was as pink as cherry blossoms' petals, so delicate and soft. Belle smiled again, tracing her fingers upon the fabric. "Thank you..." She murmured, a bit emotional.
The daiyokai hummed, and then any trace of kindness vanished, so did him, abruptly walking away in silence, leaving behind the woman holding the noble clothes in her arms.
"It match with your eyes, miss Anaberu..." Rin climbed Arurun's body and sat in front of her, touching the kimono as well.
Oh, where is Lord Sesshomaru going? Jaken wondered in his thoughts, worried about his master sudden absence.
"Can I tell you something, miss?" The little girl asked timidly, and when she received a gentle nod from the woman, her soft voice proceeded "I'm happy to have another girl in the group. Lord Sesshomaru is so good to me... I'm very fond of lord Jaken as well, but I've missed this"...
"This what, little Rin?" Anna asked while passing her fingers through the kid's bangs.
"This kind of fondness, I don't know how to explain it right..." Her shoulders got a bit constricted, her hands united over her legs. "It's like I had a mother again" The brownish eyed sparkled tenderness, so did her shy little smile.
I think there is no problem to stay with them for a while. Annabelle thought, sighing, with a warm feeling of lightness inside her chest. The beauty of life was drawn into that child's innocent gaze, into the stellar dome and all the little things, such as a delicate gesture coming from the most exceptional white yokai. There was a strange fairness on the unexpected for sure. "Hey, would you help me to dress up?" Annabelle asked Rin. "I never wore an outfit like this before" She couldn't contain a certain excitement about it.
"Of course!" The girl clapped her hands, even more excited than her friend. At Annabelle's signal, they went to the other side of Arurun's body and began to work on it.

"You..." Far from his band, Sesshomaru had met with Naraku's rogue incarnation.
Her scarlet eyes restrained inside the gleam of admiration and a secret appeal from her heart, wherever it may have been kept. If freedom should have a name, or a physical form, it must be him, she believed. One act of that yokai and she would never have to obey orders again. However, Kagura has already intercepted him once, in a night such as that, and the magnificent creature's answer was brief, harsh, and frustrated her more than any other disappointing event she ever faced since the beginning of her pitiful life. Since then, the Wind Sorceress felt like she was always walking a tightrope, having each step watched by Naraku, so she wouldn't be so fool to repeat her mistake.
"Did he send you here?" Noticing her skittish, he asked in an uncompromised way. His gaze fixed on the sea of stars above them.
Kagura didn't answered immediately, still absorbed by the image of perfection, that whiteness contrasting with the darkness. What a bliss it was to have a non human sight, she thought, just to be able to get lost in such beauty.
"What did Naraku see that was so interesting about this woman, I wonder" Sesshomaru commented "to send you here? I almost sense the scent of his despair" His velvet voice sounded as a calm wave reaching the shore.
"And you?" Her question made him discretely arch an eyebrow. His fulminant glare petrified her for a moment. Yet, Kagura had the habit to behave as a rebel sometimes, and the curiosity mixed with some jealousy were the fuel that made her go on: " Aren't you interested on her?" If disdain could turn into poison, it would be pouring by the corner of those crimson lips.
Sesshomaru didn't bother to answer, just rolled his emotionless aurum eyes, looking her from head to toes, and then he swirled his body, turning his back to the Wind Sorceress, starting to walk away. "Tell Naraku that if he wants that woman so badly, then he may come and get her. That is not of my concern". Those were his last, sharpen words, soon he was gone, leaving a startled Kagura behind.

"Priestess Kikyo, here you are..." a shadow showed up from behind a tree.
A woman, guarded within the dense forest, illuminated by spectral orbs being brought by her soul collectors, was contemplating the sky, in her features a discrete trace of melancholy made her look even paler. "And who is it?" She asked more to herself than to the stranger.
"My identity is meaningless, I am glad to meet you though. So much I've heard about you..." Blue eyes shone under the dark shroud. "I must confess that now, seeing you closely, I can understand why Naraku once has been crazy for you".
"What are you insinuating?" She raised one eyebrow, intrigued.
"You are beautiful, yes... Strong? Perhaps. However, cannot be compared to my sister" She laughed bitterly.
"Sister?" The priestess would ask about who that creature might be speaking of, and then the remembrance of a ginger lass trading kisses and touches with the spider hanyo crossed her mind. "You are that woman's sister... It was you who summoned that mist of tormented souls, I remember you two battling against each other, and if I am not mistaken, you were the one who lost that fight".
Kikyo, at last, ceased to look at the sky and turned to face the other woman. Gazing her, she tried to understand what Annabelle's twin wanted to achieve with that odd conversation. Finally meeting the turquoises, she felt like those eyes wanted to dissect her.
"I should not be in here, yet the curiosity to know who was the human girl that stolen Naraku's heart made me have this impulse" She said, while walking around the miko. "You know, I had planned to take my revenge on that filthy hanyo sending you back to hell, then I realized I would be doing him a favor and nothing else" Finally, Ailyn gave her some answers. Kikyo immediately pointed an arrow into the blond lass' direction. "Oh, dear, do not waste your time. The idea of killing you did not last this long, I am surely not someone who gets it hands dirty for nothing. Believe me, I am not the one you should fear". She laughed again.
"What do you want?!" Kikyo shot a warning arrow, it passed a few inches from one of Ailyn's cheek.
The unknown woman's laugh stopped and a greenish mist covered her body, making it vanish. The priestess maintained the arrow pointed to that place for some instants, still suspicious and stunned. Nothing in that meeting made sense till the maiden carved in clay started to connect the dots inside her head. I could not feel Naraku's presence around for a while, he had not been lurking as he used to do, and then today, that encounter was pretty awkward. It was like his body alone was in front of me, yet his mind should be floating afar, probably lost in remembrances of that woman. Kikyo realized, feeling worried. Onigumo's heart is the only advantage I have in hands and I cannot let anyone take this away. She closed her hands tightly, again gazing the nightly sky. I did not want things to reach this point, but only one of us two can exist. So Kikyo began taking steps to her new goal, carrying her bow and arrows on her back.
