The storm’s winds died down to a soft blow, pushing around clouds steeped in black and blue. Everywhere laid a thick glistening blanket of white and ice. The land was covered in the snow, several feet in many places, but the storm still had not finished. It was waiting, regaining its strength for another round of wind and ice.
The horse’s breath came as fog, billowing in the air as it trudged farther and farther from the small encampment of abandoned houses nestled in the woods breast. They was protected from all but the most prying and determined of eyes.
-----------------
Inuyasha slowly became aware he was no longer in the small cell, much less in a room. The bitter cold stung his wounds and sucked the heat from his shivering body draped across the horse’s flanks. The rocking motion slowly shook him out of the pain ridden darkness, his broken bones and injures assaulting his awakened senses mercilessly.
He craned his head up to the rider glaring at him through blurry eyes, his head throbbing at the slight movement. The bone-white cape fluttered in the wind, brushing his exposed skin like a feather.
He groaned softly and tried to shift some of his weight off his busted ribs, almost falling off. He tried to move but his body gave out, leaving him lying limply behind the saddle.
The pale, white trees lined at both sides of the narrow path covered thickly in white ice and snow that gleamed brightly in the pale, watery rays of the distant sun.
---------------------------------------------------
Grabbing the youth by the tattered remains of clothing that barley covered the hanyou’s slashed back, dried and fresh blood covering the paled skin he pulled him off the animals hindquarters. Grinning broadly at the pained sounds drawn from the barley conscious half breed as he dragged Inuyasha across the ice and snow.
Tangling his grimly gloved fingers in the blood splattered silver locks he wrenched the hanyou’s head up roughly pressing his rough lips to the smooth soft ones
Inuyasha whimpered, he clawed weakly at the strong arm, gagging on the rough tongue invading his unwilling mouth. The coppery taste flooded his mouth as the humans teeth cut his gums from the force of the kiss, bruising his lips with its force.
“ Seems such a waste to kill you…could have been a good pet “
Inuyasha whimpered and struggled weakly trying to escape the gloved hand slipping into his torn hakama rubbing one bruised hip. He hated the touch, there was nothing gentle or loving in the humans forced caresses over his battered bruised body. He twisted his body away from the hand with a weak growl, whimpering softy at the harsh slap that broke his lip leaving a thin stream of crimson falling down his chin.
He grinned at the soft whimpers coming from the boy, the way he tried to pull away or struggle as if the dog knew what was coming. He would have liked to keep the hanyou longer, to break his spirit completely. Crushing the half breed under his heel until he obeyed like the dog he was.
Inuyasha’s eyes go round and wide arching his back in a futile attempt to pull away from the unwanted touch, whimpering softly. Not again….please...not again.
“ What’s wrong little doggy…..” he grinned dropping his hand further, cradling the half breed’s testacies and squeezing them harshly drawing a few soft whimpers.
“ S…stop…p...please…” Inuyasha hung his head trembling with each ragged breath. He kept his head turned away squeezing his eyes shut. He felt….so used, used and dirty.
The human grinned wickedly grasping the edge of the only thing keeping him from his prize and harshly yanking it down the slender hips. The hanyou whimpered and curled or tried to, his battered frame trembling with each breath, drawing his legs up to protect himself.
He grinned more, shoving the smaller male down onto the snow face first with one hand, working the ties to his pants with the other hand to free his raging dripping erection.
“ Such a good little doggy…”
He griped the hanyou’s hips and jerked him back slowly forcing himself into the tight entrance, moaning softly as the muscles clenched and tried to force the intruder out.
Inuyasha whimpered and yelped in pain as his battered abused body was violated again. He arched his back unconsciously at the sensation of a gloved hand caressing the blood slicked skin. He hated every little touch……he hated the way he reacted to the touched even more. The soft whimpering moans that left his throat with each rough thrust.
Tears feel freely from the clouded amber orbs, mixing with the crimson dripping from his split lip before falling to the ground staining the snow pink.
Inuyasha whimpered more at the pain spreading in his hips, feeling the half healed tears reopen with the brutality of his captors thrusts, something warm tricked down the inside of his thighs. He yelped in pain and collapsed face first into the snow, weakened muscles no longer able to hold him up much to the delight of the human. His new position allowed him to thrust deeper into the torn cavity drawing yelps and whimpers.
Inuyasha lost track of how many times he was forcefully taken, his vision dimming from cold and exhaustion, no longer aware of the pain or the blood and semen covering his pale skin. He just lay there and let the human do what he wanted…..he couldn’t fight any longer, he didn’t want to.
He just wanted to give the last shreds of pride and sanity to the darkness, to let go but something kept him from giving in under the strain.
He whimpered loudly as the human withdrew, pain blazing up his spine.
Gloved fingers griped the stained tangled locks of silver and yanked the hanyou’s head up roughly leaving the pale throat exposed.
“ Its almost a shame I have to do this dog……” resting the gleaming edge of the dagger to the soft throat. “ I really am going to miss you….”
Inuyasha stiffened and struggled, desperately trying to pull away from the blade.
“ Sorry pup” he dug the tip cruelly into the soft flesh just below the hanyou’s jaw ignoring the yelp that followed, hot blood spurted from the shallow cut, coating his gloves and the dagger as it slide further in.
Inuyasha’s eyes went wide with fear and pain, voice gurgling as blood filled the back of his throat cutting off air, the metallic taste dancing on his tongue. His vision rapidly dimmed at the edges.
With a sound of disgust the human removed his dagger, whipping the blade on his pants before sheathing it, letting the hanyou’s limp form drop to the snow to slowly bleed out. The scavengers and snow would soon remove any remains leaving no trace of the dog until spring fall.
He walked back to his waiting horse stinking of blood and sex, ignoring the soft gurgling whimper coming from the lump in the snow.
Inuyasha gasped for air, one hand clutching his ruined throat, blood and air bubbling from the deep gouge under his jaw. His free hand dug into the snow as his lungs screamed for air, vision darkening to a deep red mist…….
---------------------------------------------------
Inuyasha became painfully aware of the bitter cold that sucked the heat out of his body as he lay on his back. His damaged senses were barely working as he forced his eyes open. One hand shaky went to his throat finger tips pressing into the area below his jaw with a wince. Pain shot up his jaw and neck at the light experimental touch, all he could feel was a shallow wound crusted in dried blood. Part of him was glade he was still alive, his youkai blood panicking and sealing off the wound before he lost too much blood at the expanse of sucking what meager reserves he had left dry.
He let his hand fall back to the snow limply, chest constricting painfully with each forced breath as his eyes stared blankly up at the sky, tears freezing to his skin, strands of silvery hair sticking to blood splattered skin.
Stars twinkled between the gaps in the dark blue gray clouds belies heavy with the burden of freezing snow and ice, skating gracefully across the evening sky. How long have I been out……
He groaned and tried to turn himself over, all but screaming at the renewed pain that assaulted him. His limbs shook as he forced them underneath him, slowly getting to his feet.
The wind ripped though, blowing up fine crystals of ice that clung to the remains of his kimono and hair. He stumbled slightly, his leg refusing to hold his weight.
His breath came in pain filled liquid gasps as the blood seeped in his lungs and throat dripping down bruised torn lips.
What remaining claws he had dug into the rough bark of a near by tree as he tried to steady himself, his strength fading like the sun on the horizon as it slipped into its nightly grave.
He raised his head weakly, his dull, amber eyes gazing over a torn carcass of a horse, the blood still warm as it steamed in the night air. The creature’s throat had been completely ripped out, bits of ragged cartilage and red muscle lay in the ruin of its neck. Piles of entrails, like pink unborn coils of serpents slid out from large gashes in the brown flank.
He felt sick, pulling his eyes away from the unfortunate horse. He already knew what had torn the creature up.
There was no sign of the human anywhere, the rich smell of blood belonged only to the horse. Part of him regretted that the exterminator had escaped, most likely sacrificing the horse so he could run while the hanyou turned youkai was busy tearing the animal to pieces.
The rest of him raged over the loss. The human had violated his body and tortured him for an unknown period of time, taking some kind of sick pleasure from the act.
He stood there near the animal’s carcass for a long time, just trying to breathe.
With great effort he began to move. His arms and legs refused to budge on command so the half breed looked for all the world a broken puppet with no strings, constantly latching onto the trees as a means of support.
Painful tremors spread through his mangled flesh.
Inuyasha was glad - hell he was delighted. The others were not there to see him stumbling around blindly through the dark forest, at times all but dragging himself to get as far away from the place of torment.
------------------------------------------------------------
The trees towered far above, the branches filtering out the feeble moon’s light, casting the dark wells of shadow through the forest of despair.
He leaned against a tree, the pain was a dark wash to what was left of the night, seeping into his mind as the night itself seeped to the day, letting the vivid, red globe of the sun slide free of its restraints and grace the lengthening shadows with its touch.
Bright red drops glittered in the air, shimmering like tiny rubies. Another fell, then another into the small, unfrozen stream. Its tiny but numerous drops were carried away on the fast moving current to who only knows where.
Inuyasha only watched as exhaustion weighed him down, making it hard to move anymore.
The thick, red blood spread through the water as he leaned near, making strange yet oddly beautiful shapes before being carried away.
His wet clothing stuck to his cold skin; he was already shivering badly as the heat was pulled away but he did nothing but stood there, too absorbed in watching the tiny, winding stream.
Its crystal clear waster hide nothing, the smooth pale water-worn stone gleamed as tendrils of moss and algae danced to an unheard music in the rushing waters that sparkled like a thousand diamonds spread out before the sun over the snow.
The numerous wounds throbbed in pain, his broken bones ached for attention but he heard none of it. Only the mournful sound of the wind through the trees and the soft gurgle of the stream reached his ears.
Inuyasha stared at his distorted reflection, a blur among the many ripples and swirls. His red pelt turned even redder, darker where his blood soaked it.
The icy water rippled. Pale, dulled amber eyes blinked slightly, the faded memories flashed through his mind of Kagome - bits of sentences, the abusive words, the constant presence of that tormenting word as he relived the dark moments.
But he still couldn’t shake off the thought of her.
Why can’t I forget you? Even when I want to, why?
His crippled heart and body wouldn’t let him forget the pain he had allowed her to inflict, nor would it allow him to forget the times she never left his side, no mater how badly injured he was or the times he tired to dive her off.
Inuyasha walked though the small stream the ice cold water unfelt, a thin trail of crimson rubies were left in his wake.
His consciousness tugged him towards the empty forest while the remains of his still broken heart pulled him en route for the well that hopefully lay near by. The pain, misery and despair all hung over him as he slowly made his way towards the golden path in the snow laid by the rapidly setting sun, his head hanging low.
The thick ice crust easily cuts through his already wounded legs, yet with everything that had happened, he felt not a single, trivial twinge – nothing could have been worse than the pain that resided within his chest.
