Chapter 3

"Kagome? Are you leaving?" asked a very worried hanyou. Kagome looked at him. She knew he was different now but she still had those horrible memories of him raping, and treating her badly. "Yes, I am, InuYasha," she told him packing a few clothes.

Kagome decided she did have a place to go to after all. She could go back to her Grandfather�s old home. She would of course have the child and raise it, even though it would cause her terrible pain. InuYasha nodded his head. He still felt terrible.

He knew he didn�t mean to do any of those things, but he couldn�t help but feel that he could have someway stopped it. Miroku the monk told him that he couldn�t, and that the spell was to powerful for him to break by himself. InuYasha also thought about his unborn child. He would never know his pup. It was probably best, but he had a stabbing pain in his heart that would not go away.

Kagome finished packing and left the next morning, without saying goodbye to InuYasha or anyone. She was simply gone, like she had never been there.

Kagome walked in the forest. She figured it was ok to walk in the forest in broad daylight, besides it was so much quicker through the forest, than taking the roads. The sun showed through the forest canopy, blazing Kagome�s dark satin hair making it sparkle.

Kagome was happy to be out of InuYasha�s castle. It was just too painful for her. Even though she had slept in a separate room and InuYasha was released from Kikyou�s spell, she still didn�t feel safe.

A sudden chill raked through Kagome�s body. Someone was following her. She heard rustling of leaves. Slowly Kagome turned to see, dark brown eyes staring coldly at her. Her black hair flew behind her with the wind. Wearing a white and red kimono, the unusual woman came towards Kagome.

"Who�Who are you?" asked Kagome, becoming frightened. Kagome clutched her stomach as if to protect her baby. "I am Kikyou! I am here to take what should be mine!" Kagome looked at her bewildered. What exactly is hers?? I don�t remember having anything of this strange woman�s.

Kikyou raised an old bow with an arrow. Kagome�s eyes grew wide. She had intended to kill her! Kikyou released the arrow heading straight for Kagome�s heart. Kagome ducked, letting the arrow hit her shoulder. "Aaah!" she screamed in pain as she felt hot blood gushing from her should. Turning away from Kikyou, Kagome started to run as fast as she could.

Sitting up instantly, InuYasha knew something was wrong. He felt a sharp pain in his shoulder. It was true when a hanyou mated; he felt his mate�s pain. It was Kagome; he knew it for sure. InuYasha ran out of his castle as fast as he could smelling the air for Kagome.

He jumped from tree to tree searching for her when finally he spotted her running for her life from Kikyou. Kikyou caught Kagome in the back with an arrow, and Kagome fell to the ground hard. Jumping as fast as he could, he jumped in front of Kagome.

"InuYasha! I was wondering when you were going to come." Said Kikyou as she lifted her head. "Come darling and lets finish off the miko!"

InuYasha looked at her and then whap�he slapped Kikyou across the face. His claws had raked across her cheek making small scratches. Putting her hand to her cheek, she felt the blood tickle down her cheek.

"Bitch!" said InuYasha as he advanced towards her, his hand clutched ready to hammer her in the head. Kikyou�s eyes widened. The spell was broken.

"InuYasha, you don�t love me anymore?" said Kikyou trying to recapture the hanyou she had once controlled.

"Only in Hell!" he retorted.

Kikyou grinned wickedly, "Oh, that can be arranged my sweet hanyou!" she came towards him her arms outstretched trying to grasp his face. InuYasha backed away and grabbed her wrists hard pulling her to the ground. "Stay the hell awaom mom me and Kagome!"

Kagome was watching the commotion, but her eyelids were becoming heavy and the pain was excruciating. I am going to die? Oh, please, I know I didn�t want the child but please let me live to birth it! I don�t want it to die!

Kagome felt two gentle hands pick up her limp body and carry her back to InuYasha�s castle. When they got there she looked up and saw golden eyes. Those eyes were so beautiful. She moaned and passed out.

"Shit! She passed out!" he ran faster. He found the young monk on the way, and pulling him with him he found a room to set her in. "Hmmm�.she is bleeding badly! This is not good InuYasha, she may also lose the pup!"

InuYasha looked at the unconscious Kagome; he reached and stripped off her kimono. Damn, she was beautiful, but he couldn�t think about that now, he had to treat her wounds and fast. He broke the wings off both arrows rolling Kagome on her side, so the one in her back didn�t hurt as bad. "Miroku! Do you know how to dress a wound?" he asked him.

"Yes, I will tend to them," and Miroku gently pulled out the arrowheads and washed, the wounds, then bandaged them up. "There that should do. She will have scars though! Poor dear and I don�t see any damage to the pup either. She just needs plenty of rest." Miroku left the room. InuYasha looked at Kagome, he felt sorry, that anything that had ever happened to her had been his fault. He had forced her to marry him, raped her, got her pregnant, and now this!

InuYasha put his head in his hands. He felt like he had nothing to live for and wanted to die. "Damn Kikyou! If only I didn�t let her go! I should have killed that bitch! I swear I am so damn weak!" he scolded himself. Kagome gave a little stir. InuYasha heard her moan in pain.

Kagome�s eyes slowly opened and the first thing she saw was those yellow eyes again.. those beautiful golden eyes. They seemed so gentle, and loving. "Kagome? Are you alright? Do you need anything?" piped InuYasha.

Kagome swallowed a large urge to cry from the pain she was feeling. She managed to shake her head no, and her eyes clasped firmly shut again. She drifted off into another sleep.

"Kagome�you must wake�" said a gentle voice bringing her to her senses. "We have brought food. You must eat to keep the pup safe!" Kagome�s eyes opened and saw InuYasha with a bowl of yummy smelling soup. Trying to sit up, she felt a sudden pain surge up her back, and it brought tears to her eyes.

InuYasha grabbed Kagome�s shoulders and with as little force as possible laid her back down. "Sorry, you had an arrow in your back, you won�t be able to feed yourself. I will have to!" He brought a spoon to her mouth full of the delicious soup. Kagome opened her mouth, letting the warm liquid surge through her mouth.

It hit every ache and pain she had, letting her body submit into a wonderful warm feeling that made her feel a lot better. Once she was done with the soup, InuYasha left the room A woman then appeared in the room. The woman seemed as young as Kagome. She had long dark hair with soft brown eyes and creamy skin. Her hips were narrow and her waist thin with a medium bust line.

"I am here to give you your bath Lady Kagome, I am Sango." Said the young girl as she pulled off Kagome�s kimono bringing out a pitcher of water and a sponge, wiping her body clean and redressing her wounds.

Kagome felt a lot better, after her bath she fell quickly asleep. InuYasha walked in the room. He watched Kagome sleeping. Kami, she is beautiful, and she is carrying my pup, I don�t but there is no way I can let her go. I will keep her with me�.I will make her fall in love with me!

** Well, well�sorry about another cliffhanger, I just got stuck�sorries�plus I am workin on another fanfic..that one is called I love you and no other�if you wanna read it�oh well..more reviews please! Love ya mean it chow!**
