Chapter IV-Trouble Returns
For the first time since the deaths of his friends, Inuyasha had a pleasant dream. The hanyou was somewhat
dismayed that it wasn’t really about his deceased friends; however, he couldn’t say that he was disappointed with
the way his dream was going. Sitting by the hot springs, his fingers were intertwined with Abotto’s. Contrary to
previous dreams that Inuyasha had in which he didn’t want to wake up, the hanyou couldn’t wait to wake up from
this dream. The reason being that the feelings of joy and happiness that he felt in this dream could actually be
duplicated in real life... maybe. He looked over at the human who was gazing at the clear blue sky. “Abotto,” he
whispered. As soon as the other turned, he leaned in and kissed the boy’s lips gently, revealing to Inuyasha his
own subconscious feelings. Until now, the half-demon hadn’t realized how close he was getting to Abotto.
Inuyasha woke up suddenly with a shocked gasp. He briefly looked down at the boy in his arms, still asleep. *What
the hell happened?* Inuyasha mused, recalling his dream. *I know that last night I kissed Abotto on the cheek
but... why did I have a dream like that? It... felt great though....* He smiled down at Abotto and studied the lips
that he had claimed in his dream. *The only other time I’ve felt that is with... Kagome...*
*Abotto... I think... I’m in love with you...* He took some time to ponder it over. They had been taking care of each
other the past couple of days, shared their painful stories, and most of all- Inuyasha wanted to be with the boy at
all times. That sounded like love to him. Being one who always acts on their impulses, Inuyasha moved the boy off
of him, careful not to disturb his injuries or wake him. He rolled the boy onto his back and straddled his waist. The
hanyou took the time to look over Abotto’s delicate features, noting that the smaller cuts had healed for the most
part. It amazed Inuyasha that through everything that happened, Abotto never complained about his injuries. And
even though the boy’s pain threshold is incredible, the hanyou made a silent promise that Abotto wouldn’t have to
suffer any injuries like the ones he still had on his back and leg. Aside from the absence of cuts, for the first time,
Inuyasha noticed just how beautiful the boy was. The way his dark brown hair matched his eyes perfectly, in the
same way that the vivid green of a forest matched with the grass, as if the gods intended for the boy to be as
precious as nature. Abotto was indeed precious; soft skin covering toned muscle, a smile that could turn rain
clouds into a clear sky, and a caring personality to top it off. There was also those soft-looking lips, parting slightly
with each breath the slumbering boy took.
Inuyasha leaned forward slightly, silver hair draping around the two males. He stared at Abotto’s lips and licked his
own. *He really is beautiful... I wonder if it’ll feel the same as in the dream...* Fighting back any small fears the
hanyou had, he leaned in even more. As his face neared Abotto’s, a hand came up and swatted Inuyasha. A
startled hanyou jumped back and watched as Abotto’s hand sleepily wiped away the silver hair tickling his face.
Chuckling quietly, Inuyasha moved his hair out of the way and, in response, Abotto’s hand returned to his side.
Feeling that it was safe, he began to lean down again to resume his mission. His shaky breathing did little to hide
his nervousness; however, he was determined to kiss Abotto... his Abotto. The hanyou moved closer, his breath
brushed against Abotto’s resting lips. This time, Inuyasha dodged the boy’s hand as it unconsciously swatted at
whatever was tickling his lips. Inuyasha growled softly out of frustration. Once more, he positioned his face close
to Abotto’s, confident that this time he would get what he wanted. He held his weight on shaky hands placed on
either side of the human’s head. He tried hard not to disturb Abotto and earn another slap. His whole body tingled
with anticipation as his face became just inches away from Abotto’s. The hanyou shut his eyes and took a deep
breath. When he opened his eyes again, he was shocked to see deep brown eyes staring back up at him.
Abotto looked up at the half-demon above him. He immediately felt his face flush a little from the closeness of
their bodies. *What is he doing?* Confused brown eyes looked up into shocked golden. Abotto decided to try to
change the awkward situation by starting conversation. “Good morning.” he smiled nervously.
“Good morning.” Inuyasha said somewhat hoarsely, still stunned.
A few long seconds of silence followed as each male searched their minds for a way to break the silence. Abotto
was the first to speak. “Have any good dreams?”
Inuyasha hesitantly grinned and groaned inwardly. *Damn, out of every topic in the whole world, why did he have
to pick that?* Inuyasha unconsciously gazed down at Abotto’s lips which were curled into a smile, teasing the
hanyou. He hadn’t been able to make his dream into a reality and it annoyed him that he was so close to doing so.
“Yeah.... I did.” Inuyasha said through clenched teeth, fighting the urge to abruptly capture Abotto’s lips with his
own.
“What about?” Abotto asked, happy to hear that the hanyou actually had a good dream. Inuyasha blinked, caught
off guard by the question as he was too busy eyeing the boy’s light pink lips. Inuyasha growled, he hadn’t
anticipated Abotto being so nosy, Hell, he didn’t anticipate the boy waking up!
“Umm...” Inuyasha kept his eyes glued to Abotto’s lips. He found it hard to make eye contact, afraid that he would
begin to blush or do something else uncharacteristic of the ‘old’ Inuyasha, the personality which was steadily
returning to him and purifying his angst. “Well... It was about you...” he began to explain very hesitantly.
“Really?” Abotto smiled.
“Yeah.” Inuyasha whispered, wetting his lips. He still stared at the boy’s lips, unable to take his focus off of them.
He growled inwardly, *Damn it, I want to do it so badly!* Lost in thought, Inuyasha absentmindedly began to lean
forward, closing the distance between their faces. He was less than an inch away from the boy before he realized
what he was doing. He quickly shifted his gaze up to Abotto’s eyes, searching for any signal telling him to ‘back
off.’ Instead, all Inuyasha could read from the boy was curiosity. *Why does he have to look so innocent? I feel like
I’m taking advantage of him.*
Abotto tilted his head to the side a little, confused about what was going on. “Inuyasha?” The boy’s warm breath
brushed against Inuyasha’s own lips and made him moan softly.
Inuyasha took a deep breath as he readied himself, prepared to face any consequence that might follow. *Please
let it feel the same...* Inuyasha shut his eyes and gently pressed his lips against Abotto’s parted ones. He moaned
into the kiss, very pleased to find that it felt so much better to do it outside of his dream. Inuyasha opened his eyes
again when whatever part of his brain that wasn’t trapped in the passion of the kiss reminded him of Abotto’s
feelings. He was happy to find that the brown eyes were shut and Abotto seemed to be enjoying the kiss too.
Abotto, who was new to this kind of intimacy, mimicked the more experienced man’s actions. When Inuyasha
wrapped an arm around Abotto’s back, Abotto placed his arms around Inuyasha’s neck. When Inuyasha moved his
lips one way, Abotto did the same. When Inuyasha pulled back and broke the kiss, Abotto was filled with a bit of
fear. *Did I do something wrong?* the boy stared at Inuyasha, almost expecting him to leave or something.
Instead, the hanyou sensed his concern and smiled.
“I needed to catch my breath.”
“Oh,” Abotto smiled back, and then looked down feeling a little embarrassed. “Good idea... I forgot all about
breathing...” Inuyasha began to laugh and Abotto gazed back at the hanyou with narrow eyes. “Don’t laugh at
me! I’m new to this!”
“You’re just so cute,” Inuyasha whispered. With that, their lips met again, this time with Abotto feeling a little
more confident. He pressed his lips firmly against Inuyasha’s, earning a soft moan from the hanyou. Inuyasha held
himself up on one forearm while his other hand was busy undoing Abotto’s kimono. The boy shivered once the
cool air hit him, causing goosebumps to form all over his front. Inuyasha swiped his tongue across Abotto’s lips
while he traced claws gently up and down the boy’s torso.
Inuyasha’s touches sent chills of pleasure up Abotto’s spine and down to his groin. *Is... he going to do what I

“Go where?”

reaction. “No way... it can’t...” Pictures of Kagome, Miroku, Sango, and Shippou ran through Inuyasha’s head.
Their deaths replayed in his head over and over. Inuyasha shut his eyes, trying to shut away the memories. He felt
himself begin to shake as he kept his eyes shut tight and continued to whisper his doubts. A familiar scent forced
his eyes to snap wide open and he let out a soft yell. He then shook his head and shouted, “No... He’s dead!” Fear
began to settle in as the deaths continued to play in his mind and Naraku’s scent continued to fill him. He felt
himself becoming faint and sick. Fear and pain overtook Inuyasha, he was oblivious to Abotto’s concerned shouts
of his name and the boy’s hands trying to shake him out of his state. The air began to grow colder than it already
was and the wind began to pick up, causing Naraku’s scent to surround Inuyasha and cloud his senses. Inuyasha
began to shiver uncontrollably, not from the cold air, but from pure fear. Tears streamed his face. Abotto was still
yelling his name but all Inuyasha could hear was his friends’ screams and Naraku laughing. A sharp pain caused
him to open his eyes and snap out of his trance.
“Inuyasha come on! You’re scaring me!” Abotto yelled, feeling bad for striking his friend.
Instead of looking at the boy, Inuyasha just stared straight ahead. “Abotto, get out of here. Run!” Abotto turned
around, trying to find what Inuyasha was looking at. Nothing. “Move!” Inuyasha yelled and grabbed Abotto and
jumped backwards, dodging a tentacle. Out of nowhere, Naraku appeared and stared directly at Inuyasha. The
hanyou gazed back fearfully and whimpered. Noticing that Abotto was no longer in his arms, he frantically looked
around for Abotto who was nowhere to be found. He was both relieved and even more scared. Relieved that
Abotto had escaped, and scared because now he was alone again.
“It’s been a while Inuyasha.” Naraku smirked. Words failed Inuyasha. He tried to reply, but his fear got the better
of him. As if reading Inuyasha’s mind, Naraku began to explain. “Did you really think that using those priestesses
to destroy me and the jewel shard would work? I am forever Inuyasha. Face it, your friends died for nothing.”
“No.” Inuyasha fell to his knees and cried harder. Any part of the ‘old’ Inuyasha that remained suddenly
disintegrated. The ‘old’ Inuyasha wouldn’t allow anyone to see him like this, especially Naraku; however, he didn’t
care anymore. Soon Naraku would be wearing the hanyou’s blood on his claws and Inuyasha wouldn’t have to
suffer the pain of being alone anymore.
“You’ve given up Inuyasha?” Naraku stepped closer to the hanyou and cupped his chin with long fingers. “It
almost takes the fun out of killing you...” Naraku grinned as an idea struck him. “As a matter of fact, that plan no
longer appeals to me. I have another plan for you.” The spider hanyou grabbed Inuyasha by his neck and began to
drag him away. “If you’re not going to cry and yell at the thought of death, I’ll give you another reason to cry!”
The sound of distant footsteps soon became louder. “Son of a bitch!” Abotto yelled and drove one of the Twin
Daggers into Naraku’s shoulder blade. Naraku let out a yell but never let go of Inuyasha. He turned and faced a
fierce-eyed Abotto, still wielding the other blade, waiting for an opening so he could bury it in Naraku’s flesh.
“I’ve no need to waste my time with a mere mortal.” A purple-tinted barrier formed around Naraku and Inuyasha
and they floated off into the distance.
“Inuyasha!” Even though the two could no longer be seen, Abotto wasn’t about to give up. Ignoring the shooting
pain in his thigh, he ran in the direction that Naraku was heading, dagger clutched tightly in his right hand. *I’m
not going to lose you!*

Inuyasha sat in a dark room of Naraku’s castle. The room was empty except for the Tetsusaiga which was laying in
a corner and a few shackles hanging from a wall. Inuyasha groaned out of emotional pain and his hatred for
Naraku. He expected to be dead by now, he wanted to be dead by now, but for some reason Naraku had spared
him again. The hanyou lost all will to fight back, he hoped that Naraku would just get it over with and kill him. As
if on cue, Naraku came into the room shirtless and carrying first aid supplies. He put down the supplies and knelt
down across from Inuyasha and reached behind his own head. With a grunt, he pulled Abotto’s dagger out of his
back. He could feel the blood running down his body. Curling his finger, he beckoned Inuyasha over to him.
Tentatively, Inuyasha followed orders. Naraku pushed the medical supplies toward the inu. “Your damn friend got
that dagger in deep. Clean it and bandage it.” Shamefully, Inuyasha did as he was told. He hated himself for doing
it, but he thought that if he followed orders, Naraku would give him a quick death instead of making him suffer
more. Naraku picked the dagger back up. “When I find the time, I’ll hunt down that boy and make sure he regrets
what he did. I’ll kill him with his own dagger.” Tears of remorse flowed down Inuyasha’s face. Now Abotto was in
danger because of him. It seemed that everyone who befriended Inuyasha ended up dead at the hands of Naraku.
Then and there Inuyasha made a vow that if he made it out alive, he would end his own life. That way he wouldn’t
put anybody else in harm’s way ever again.
Once the wound was covered, Naraku turned around and pushed Inuyasha onto his back and began removing his
clothes. “Who would’ve thought that I’d find a use for a filthy hanyou like you?” Inuyasha’s eyes widened in fear
and he finally began to fight back, there was no way he would go down like this. His struggle ended when Naraku
wrapped a strong hand around Inuyasha’s neck, making him gasp for air. “It looks like you’re going to make
things difficult. Well, I can be just as difficult.” Naraku picked Inuyasha up and led him to the wall on the other side
of the room. He grabbed one of the shackles attached to the wall and trapped Inuyasha’s neck inside. The restraint
clicked as it locked in place, trapping the inu in a standing position. “You know, you’ll learn to enjoy this once you
quit fighting.” Naraku grinned, trailing a claw roughly down Inuyasha’s torso and drawing blood. Licking his lips,
he knelt down and traced his tongue back up and tasting the hanyou’s blood. He stood back up and looked into
Inuyasha’s eyes with his piercing red ones. Naraku brought his lips close to Inuyasha’s and whispered, “You ready
for a preview of how the rest of your life will be?”
Inuyasha whimpered in response and cursed himself for submitting to Naraku. He would’ve rather died than suffer
this humiliation; however, he was powerless to Naraku’s advances. Shutting his eyes, he mentally apologized to his
friends for giving in to their murderer. He wished that there could be a way out of this.
Wishing wasn’t going to do much, for Naraku was now slowly running his hands down Inuyasha’s back. The taller
man’s body was pressed close to his, arms around him, hands moving lower and lower. Sure, Inuyasha’s arms
were free but he saw no use in fighting back, he was broken and at Naraku’s mercy. Inuyasha choked out a painful
breath as a pair of hands moved under the waistband of his pants and began to slowly massage his rear. It was
then that Inuyasha became clear of Naraku’s intentions and he just now noticed the stiff rod pressed up against
his hip as Naraku continued to massage in circling motions. A grinning Naraku leaned down and licked at one of
Inuyasha’s ears before biting into it, blood joining the ash, further staining his snowy hair. Inuyasha cried out,
going stiff just as he felt a claw-tipped finger brush by his hole. With a swift, fluid motion, Naraku knelt down and
pulled off Inuyasha’s pants. Standing back up, Naraku gazed down at Inuyasha’s well hung member and raised an
eyebrow. “Well, well. It seems that for once you and I are evenly matched.” With a large hand, Naraku stroked
Inuyasha to an unwanted erection, matching his own eight inches perfectly. Just to make sure, the spider-hanyou
removed his own pants and compared the two. “The length looks the same, but I seem to be a little thicker. Looks
like I win again Inuyasha.” He reached back up and took Inuyasha’s chin in his hand and spoke slowly, stressing
every word, proving his point, “I. Always. Win.”
Inuyasha looked away from his captor, wanting everything to end, wanting to forget this ever happened. Naraku
seemed to be the main cause of all of his pain. Fifty years ago, Naraku killed Kikyo. He killed the rest of Inuyasha’s
friends a few days ago. And now, when his life was beginning to look up again, Naraku took Inuyasha away from
Abotto and was now using him for his own pleasure. Inuyasha didn’t want to admit to himself that this was really
happening, hoping it would just be a bad dream. He wouldn’t be that lucky. “Lift up your leg.” Naraku
commanded. Inuyasha obeyed, raising a leg which was then held under Naraku’s arm. Naraku gestured toward the
other leg which was reluctantly lifted as well. Naraku used his own strength to hold Inuyasha up, making sure he
wasn’t strangled by the restraint around his neck. He moved closer, positioning himself under Inuyasha’s virgin
hole. The hanyou shut his eyes tight as he felt the thick, blunt tip pressing against his entrance. With a rough,
powerful thrust, Naraku buried himself inside the inu and both could smell the blood immediately. Tears streaked
down Inuyasha’s face, only to be licked up by Naraku, grinning as he pumped his hips mercilessly into Inuyasha.
The friction of Inuyasha’s unprepared hole caused Naraku some pain; however, knowing that Inuyasha was feeling
far more pain replaced Naraku’s own with incredible pleasure. A stream of blood flowed over Naraku’s member
and dripped to the ground, filling the room with the scent of the inu’s anguish. Naraku nipped and sucked at
Inuyasha’s neck and shoulders, claws digging into the boy’s hips and pulling him into his own thrusts. The
hanyou’s erection quickly subsided, the pain becoming unbearable. He cried out shamelessly, begging Naraku to
stop. Naraku simply laughed and thrust harder into Inuyasha’s bleeding passage. Naraku’s cock pulsed, the smell
of blood, the sound of yells and sobs, the feeling of the tight body around him all turning him on more as he
continued to pound into Inuyasha. Naraku came with a triumphant yell, thick ropes of cum flooding Inuyasha’s

life. Not wanting Inuyasha to try to hang himself, Naraku messed with the restraints a little, loosening them and
allowing Inuyasha to fall to the ground without choking himself. Naraku stepped back and surveyed his work. “I’m
going to go clean up. You take time to rest because you have a lot more of this to look forward to.” Naraku leaned
down and licked Inuyasha’s lips. “A lot more!” Laughing maliciously, Naraku grabbed the lonely twin dagger and
left the room, leaving Inuyasha in a sobbing heap on the ground.
After Naraku cleaned up a little and put his clothes back on, the far-off sound of footsteps caught his attention.
Naraku left the room to investigate the noise. Naraku stepped outside of his castle and scanned the grounds.
Seeing no sign of anyone, he turned around and was struck with a horizontal slice to his throat. Naraku grabbed
his neck and fell to the ground, gasping for air. Satisfied with his quick work, Abotto ran into the castle, yelling out
Inuyasha’s name. After searching a couple of rooms, Abotto entered the one with Inuyasha laying on the ground.
“Inuyasha!” Abotto ran up and pulled the hanyou into an embrace.
“A... Abotto!?” Inuyasha moved his sore neck the best he could to rest his head on Abotto’s shoulder. He wrapped
his arms around the boy, tears falling onto the younger male. “Abotto, you have to go. Please, I don’t want him to
kill you.”
The boy examined the shackle on the inu’s neck and noted the small keyhole. “Don’t worry, I took care of him. I’ll
go see if I can find a key to get you out of there.” Abotto briefly kissed Inuyasha before running out of the room.
He remembered seeing a desk in one of the rooms he passed through so he decided to check that one first. The
boy searched through the drawer of the old desk, pulling out everything he found. “Paper.... paper.... pens.....
more paper.... still more paper.... another pen.... key!” He grabbed the key and ran back to Inuyasha and unlocked
the restraint. A very relieved Inuyasha embraced Abotto, almost knocking him to the ground. Abotto backed away
and held Inuyasha’s hand. “There’ll be time for this later. Let’s just get out of this place, it gives me the creeps.”
Inuyasha smiled at the boy. “Definitely.” The two lovers left the room, returning briefly as Inuyasha remembered
the discarded Tetsusaiga sitting in the corner. He grabbed it and ran out to catch up with Abotto.
Hand in hand, Abotto and Inuyasha left Naraku’s castle and the boy stopped abruptly. Abotto’s jaw dropped when
he discovered that Naraku’s body was missing. “He was right here!”
“Let’s just go!” Inuyasha whispered, the fear quickly returning to him. A strangled, painful gasp left Abotto. He felt
the blood flowing out the back of his neck as he fell face first to the ground. “Abotto!” Inuyasha looked from the
hole in Abotto’s neck to the man standing behind the boy’s fallen body. Naraku stood scowling at Inuyasha and
holding one of the twin daggers.
Naraku smirked, “I told you I’d kill him with his own weapon.”
“Bastard!!!” Inuyasha unsheathed the Tetsusaiga and began to fight with Naraku, determined to kill him once and
for all. Abotto, using what little consciousness he had left, slowly stood up and stumbled into the castle to get out
of harm’s way. He walked unsteadily through the hall and found himself hiding in the room with the desk. He
moved over to the desk and leaned over it. As surprised as he was that he was still conscious, he could feel the life
flowing out of him. With a shaky hand, he reached back and whined as felt the thick, warm blood pouring out of
his neck. His knees began to buckle and his vision became darker; Abotto knew his fate. He whispered Inuyasha’s
name as he began to cry, the tears dripping down onto the papers on the desk. Straining to clear his vision, he
looked down at the pens and papers which were becoming both tear-stained and blood-stained. With his last
moments, he picked up a pen and paper and began to write.
“Adamant Barrage!” Inuyasha screamed as he swung the Tetsusaiga. Thousands of sharp fragments flew at
Naraku and shredded his body. Naraku yelled out as his body was torn apart in a gory mess. Out of the carnage,
Naraku’s head remained in one piece. “You’re dead Naraku!” The hanyou jumped over and buried the Tetsusaiga
into the spider-hanyou, splitting the skull down the middle and making sure that Naraku would never return.
Inuyasha sighed as he put the Tetsusaiga away. Surveying the battlefield, he realized that Abotto was gone.
“Abotto?” Panicking, he ran inside the castle and checked every room until he found Abotto collapsed on the
ground. Inuyasha’s heart felt like it was going to break through his chest, it was beating so hard. He knelt down
and cradled the human close to him. “Abotto, please wake up.” He whispered, tears falling onto an emotionless
face. “Naraku’s dead, we’re safe... please get up...” Inuyasha buried his face in the crook of the boy’s neck as he
feared the worst. “You can’t do this Abotto, come on!” He held the limp form tighter. “Don’t die on me.... you
can’t.... Abotto...” Inuyasha began to cry hysterically. “You can’t die! I’m not ready to let you go! I love you!” He
shifted their bodies a little and heard a crinkling sound. Lifting Abotto’s hand, he found a piece of paper with
writing on it. Holding the blood-stained paper and Abotto, Inuyasha read the note, his own tears falling onto it to
join Abotto’s dried ones.

Naraku, all I wanted was to heal your pain. You better not be blaming yourself for this Inuyasha. This is
not your fault. I’m the one who brought you into my home and fell in love with you, I’d follow you to the
ends of the world. I took the risk and I have no regrets so you better not have any either. I love you so
much. All I want is to be held in your arms. I don’t want you to give up on life. You’re strong Inuyasha
and you still have me. Not even death will keep me away from you, my spirit will stay with you always
Inuyasha.

AUTHOR’S NOTE: ....yep. So while writing this I cried- it’s so easy for stories and movies and stuff like that to get
to me. While re-reading it, I cried the most when Inuyasha said something about cleaning off the smoke smell or
something- I was like, “NO! It’s never gonna happen!” lol. So... ta-dah! Horrible way to end a cute story... XD
I got about 5 chapters into the sequel before I looked ahead and realized "I can't find a good place to end this..." So I got rid of the sequel altogether and used this as my ending point XD The plot from the sequel will become a different story entirely ^_^
