A/N: Sorry… no smut this time. :( Just didn't have it in me… for either of my pairings, so don't you Inucest fans feel cheated. Everybody got screwed this round of updates… except Sesshoumaru, apparently. X3 Anyway… hope you enjoy and, as always, thanks for reading! :)
My Letter to You
Part 1
He knew InuYasha said it wasn't necessary, but that did not stop the thoughts from swirling in his mind. What had that letter been? What had it meant? And who was it for—one or both? Their father must have been half out of his mind when he wrote it. One thing was very clear, he had some thoughts of his own he may as well get down. With all the undoubted excitement that would surely surround the arrival of his noble heirs (or, gulp, heiresses), he might not have the chance to record such musings like he did now… or, worse, he might forget altogether, taken out of the moment.
InuYasha was at last asleep, pregnancy probably the only thing to provide relief from yet another sleepless human night, the hanyou too tired to resist anymore. Besides, he had his brother to protect him; love of his life, father of his children. He watched him for a while before returning to this letter he must never know about. Not until the pups were born at the very least.
The father that carries you sleeps now and for only the second time since he first showed me his weaker form; black hair shining, fanned across his pillow, likely dreaming of you. His human form is hardly weaker; he endures what most cannot and with a smile on his face, only sleeping now because his trust in me and my protection as his mate and your father is equally as strong.
He stirred then, smacking his lips, rolling over toward Sesshoumaru, violet-blue eyes blinking open on him. He was at his side in a flash, the letter and his writing utensils stashed faster than his human eyes could see, hand coming to rest gently on his brother's bare stomach, both still naked from the night's lovemaking.
"They woke me." InuYasha yawned, arms stretched above his head, hands laid atop his elder's, moving them to the correct spot. "Do you feel it?"
"Yes, my Otouto." Sesshoumaru settled close, sleek black threaded with silver, crescent moon touching the forehead of his chosen mate. "Are you uncomfortable? Is there anything you need?"
"No." More lip-smacking and another yawn for good measure, those violet eyes he'd become so possessive of, rarely ever getting to glimpse them, drifting closed yet again. "I'm good."
One arm snaked around him and he let it, gathering his brother close against him. That you are, my Otouto, he thought, pushing those of the letter toward tomorrow. And I will be sure they know it.
