Later that night, was when Takemaru would come. He needed Izayoi, the Central lands were key to better things for him. They could really use it to turn quite a profit and Izayoi was the key to all of that. After he would marry her and get her pregnant he could secure his place as Lord there himself even if it meant getting rid of her father and then corner the slave market. After all, there were always slaves and he could force them not only to work but to be the perfect army even greater than the Southern , Northern or Western. Plus, if he could secure the East for his own...he would be golden. No one could stop him! Or so he was thinking of course, but nothing was going to stand in his way of trying. Not some demon! He would sneak into Izayoi’s room and uncork a bottle he would roll in there. The moment the contents spilled the room would be thick with sleeping smoke forcing her to sleep and the pup to stay asleep for hours. Well into the daylight and after a good few minutes with a mask secure over his face he would head in and take her sneaking out the window as to not disturb anyone else where his horse would be waiting them to take her far from her lands.
It was much, much later when Mika woke up, she heard Kaze roaming around in his room, his heart beating so very quickly. She was worried, and she looked to her guardian, who, too...had fallen asleep. “Toga?” she asked, shaking him awake a little bit. “toga, kaze...isn’t happy.” she said, “Come on, we have to go see why.” she said.
Toga opened his eyes and stretched a bit before getting up off the floor. He had this awful feeling and would hurry to Izayoi’s room the moment he would open the door he grunted a bit as Kaze had run right into his stomach. “Easy there pup, what is the matter?” he asked him.
Kaze coughed a bit, the smoke had made him all hazy and it still lingered a bit in the room. “Mother’s gone!” he told him. “The room smells so funny but...someone’s been in here, a male!” he said. “Some human that smells of dried blood” his ears were down as he looked up at Toga. “You have to find her!” he said before he turned his head coughing some more, he’d been breathing it in for a good while without realizing it and it was still in his lungs.
Toga cursed silently under his breath and sniffed the air too… “You two stay here!” he told them in a non negotiable tone as he headed out the window too leaping down. Izayoi’s scent was dying on the wind...faint but there and a horse? He could only guess at who it was and right now, his guess was Takemaru.
Mika moved to Kaze and grabbed him “Calm down Kaze, Inu Taisho is the best. He will get everything settled. Should we go?” she asked him softly. “We can just breathe.” she said softly. “He will bring her back. I promise he will bring her home.” she said. She knew it would happen.
Takemaru had moved Izayoi into the forest, deep into the forest and Izayoi was finally waking up. “nn…?” she asked, her eyes listing open. “W-where am I?” she asked him softly. “What is going on?! Where is my son!?” she asked, sitting up.
Kaze just worked on catching his breath for a moment while he worked on calming down. It was still making him tired. “I want to go after mother…” he said. “But I don’t want to get into trouble” he said. “Can...can we get some air?” he asked her. At least that….unless he got some crazy idea to go after his mother himself. HE would have, had he been awake.
Takemaru was not worried about Izayoi running off. He rose an eyebrow then laughed cruelly “That demon is your son?” he asked her that was amusing to him “Though, with any luck, choked to death” he said. “That smoke was not meant to be inhaled very long” he said with a smirk. Though as to where they were, that was obvious, so he didn’t answer.
"You don't want to do that." she said softly. "Well you may want to...but humans like Takemaru, they are trained to kill.” she said gently. “Toga will get her back, I promise.” she said. “Come on, let's get you some fresh air.” she told him softly.
Izayoi scoffed. “Yes, I’ve adopted him, and he’s not dead.” she said. “And you will let me go back! Why would you kidnap me anyways!?” she asked him softly. “You know that once it gets out that you kidnap me...you will never get the throne.” she said gently.
He nodded, no it would be foolish but he cared about his mother...he would do anything for her and would head with Mika to go and get some air. “...Hopefully Lord Taisho will be able to find her soon” he whispered. Would he be able to cover so much ground so quickly, it was just so hard to say!
Takemaru however, was not concerned about that. “You think I would have come alone?” he asked coldly. “And I will, after all, without your father in the mix I will not have to worry only thing I have to do is marry you” he told her. She really wouldn’t have much of a choice in the matter especially since he could force her.
Izayoi spat at him and said “I’d rather die.” she said softly. “And if you try to force me...I will kill myself.” she hissed. “You are such an asshole Takemaru.” she said.
Takemaru would approach her, since it was so early the sky above them was red and he would push her down roughly to the ground by her shoulders. “Oh?” he said. “And here you seem so protective of your son, what do you think would happen if you died” he hissed as he roughly tried to push aside her clothing intending to have his way with her.
She struggled, starting to kick and flair. “I am, he will go to Toga, Toga is at the palace now, he will take him back to the west and he will be fine.” she said. “Get off of me Takemaru!!” she said, “Get the hell away from me!!” she said.
He was using his full weight on her, to hold her down. With all his armor and body mass, he had to be a good one hundred pounds heavier then her and continued to try and get her out of her clothes, going as far as to rip the material to get to her. “You deserve this for loving a demon” he hissed. As she had been on a first name basis with him obviously. “You should have just kept quiet Izayoi!” he growled as he tugged a tagger out of his hilt, and was using it to cut away her clothing, not paying much mind to be careful not to cut her too.
She gasped. And she screamed out. “I Don’t love anyone!” she said. “Get off of me!” she repeated. She was praying that Toga would show up. She felt all her clothing falling to bits. She felt tears in her eyes, they were burning in her eyes as she still struggled, pushing against him, all her clothing was off now.
But it would end there, the trees and bushes rustled behind them and Takemaru would look back to see what ti was, and in order to do so, release her shoulders, releasing some of that weight as well he had put on her.
Toga had arrived, the scent of the horse had helped tremendously as well as Izayoi’s blood. It carried with it her scent so strongly in the air it was quite easy to pinpoint it. There was no talking it out, the demon lord would kick Takemaru square in the chest off of Izayoi causing the human male to stumble and fall over himself a few times. It was not a lethal blow, to yet. “You have no right to touch her like that!” he growled. His eyes shifted to Izayoi “Get up, go home” he would handle this.
Izayoi got up, and she looked at Toga. “Toga…” she whispered, she moved to him and took his hand. “lets go home.” she whispered. “Just...just leave him alone… I’m going to...t-to come home with you.” she said gently. “My dad won’t care now.” she whispered. “C-come on puppy. she said softly.
Toga felt wrong about leaving Takemaru there… after what he did but he would remove his haori and drape it over her shoulders so that she wouldn’t be so naked it was practically long enough for her to wear as a kimono. He was wearing clothing underneath it after all so it was alright. “Very well” he said.
Takemaru however, though winded from that kick was getting up. “Did you really think I would let you two just walk away so easily!?” he growled a vial in his hands. “If I cannot have her demon, you shall not either!” he hissed. A liquid poison rested in his fingers, one drop would be quite poisonous on anyones skin not only that, but it was highly flammable and would likely catch the whole forest on fire. From where they had ridden they were closer to the Northern Lands.
Izayoi looked so frightened. She was behind Toga, and she Pulled him back more, this was terrifying. She wanted to go, and to go now. “Toga.” she whispered softly. “Don’t let him hit you with it…” she said gently. “It will kill either one of us.” she said.
Toga however, was not worried, Takemaru knew nothing of him and as the vial came flying through the air, he would grip her suddenly and transform himself and her into a pretty ball of blue light, dashing away through the trees before appearing further away. It had been like an instant explosion, bark and tree flying all over and, as expected, setting the whole forest ablaze. They could have been in there but they were a good safe distance away. “If that did not kill him...I have a feeling his death is imminent” though he wasn’t concerned nor did she show any sign he was worried about it. “We were close to the Northern lands after all...and dragons consider any threat to their lands very serious” he explained.
She nodded, holding his haori around her, she just looked so very frightened. “Are...are the kids...are they okay?” she asked him softly. “I didn’t…think...that this would happen.” she whispered softly. “I didn’t just I’m sorry for bothering you Toga.” she said softly.
He gave a nod “They’re fine” he said. At least, they were when he had left them. “You’re not bothering me” he said. “I was not going to let anything happen to you” he said. Not in the least bit. “Come” he said. “Before the fire gets worse” there was nothing much they could do about it, surely it would be put out. He would walk back with her, out of the forest, it would be quite a journey unless they flew. “If you hold on I can fly us back” he suggested.
She nodded softly and she said I would like that.” she said. “I’m sure my puppy is...is terrified without me.” she whispered. She moved towards him and smiled. “Whenever you are ready.” she said gently. “Whenever you are okay to go..” she said, sniffing a little bit. She’d almost been raped, and she wondered what he was thinking. “A-are you okay?”
He sighed as they would take up into the air, his arm securely around her to go back to the palace. “He was very concerned” he agreed. “I am worried more about you” he said. “I had hoped to make it to you on time, hoping you would have not been hurt but it seems we cannot be that lucky” he said. “You are not hurt too badly are you?” he asked her.
Izayoi shook her head. “I’m not hurt badly.” she whispered softly. “I’m just scared.” she told him softly. “I’m terrified but...if...if I go with you… she said gently. “Will Kaze be accepted?” she asked him softly. “As my son.” she whispered gently. “What..will happen to him?” she asked.
Toga didn’t want her to be scared of going. “As far as anyone is concerned he is yours” he said. “Both you and he will be just fine” he assured her. He wouldn’t let anything happen to her. “No one needs to know of his past” he said. All anyone had to know in the palace was that the pup was her son, and that he was a noble.
Izayoi smiled gently and she said "Okay...It's just scary." she whispered. "To leave everything I know, for everything I don't." she told him. “But...you think this will work right?” she asked him. “You think that...we will be okay?” she asked “That maybe we can have a marriage thats full of love?” she asked.
He sighed. "Honestly I ' really know how it will go when we get there" he said. He just couldn't' say for certain. "But as far as a marriage full of love... that, for certain I can say will happen" he said. “And that I will do what I can for us to live happily”
“...If anything if this goes horribly wrong…” she whispered softly. “If anything goes wrong I want you to know that I will leave. I will not do anything to put your position in jeopardy.” she said. “I wouldnt do that to you.” she whispered in her softest tones. But we will go.” she said. “As soon as I can pack.”
He couldn’t blame her for wanting to leave if it did go wrong. “I am going to try and take as many measures as I can to prevent that” he said. “Perhaps I will speak with my mother and sister when we return” he said. “Try not to worry so much about it” he said. But he nodded and flew with her the rest of the way in silence, until they were touching down in the palace.
“Alright, sure” she said gently. She was silent too, and she sighed gently. When they touched down she called out. “Kaze-ai?” she called out and she could barely stand on her own two feet it seemed. She was holding onto Toga tightly. So very very frightened Izayoi was, but surely, seeing her boy would make things better.
Hearing his name called, Kaze would run to her and would throw his arms around her gently. “Mother!” the pup would bury his face in her chest but he would pull back “Blood!? Did that awful man hurt you!?” he was so concerned about her. Nothing had happened of course, he had just been sitting with Mika getting fresh air into his lungs. “Oh! You should rest and let me help you with the bandages!” he told her, surely she was tired…
Izayoi would hold Kaze in her arms. “He did...but it’s alright.” she said gently and she kissed his cheek. “I love you Kaze…” she said. “But...we can’t rest, we have to pack up our things, we are going with Lord Taisho tonight.” she said softly.
Kaze understood though...it was much too dangerous to be there. “You rest mother, I will pack!” he said. He was completely fine with going to the West, as long as she was there too and he moved to go do that. He would have to tell Mika the news that they were going along too.
Toga could tell that Izayoi was not too well on her feet so he would be beside her. “Let him” he said softly. “He seems adamant to do this for you” the pup just probably wanted to feel useful in some way to her and she did look like she could use a rest.
Izayoi was going to make him stop but she sighed gently. “alright. You make sure you pack things.” she said gently. “Anything pretty.” she said gently. She looked at Toga and sighed deeply. “He’s gonna miss something.” she said in her soft tones. “But I don’t know.” she said gently. “It shouldn’t...oh wait...what about your puppy?!” she asked, eyes wide. “What...what will we do about the poor boy?”
Toga blinked he didn’t see what his pup had to do with it really, he needed a motherly figure and also “Sesshoumaru has never had anyone his age to play with before” he told her. “I figured he would enjoy having both Mika and Kaze around” he said. “I will talk to him though, let him know that I am not replacing him or anything...unlike what his mother did”
“Alright.” she whispered softly. “alright, how long will it take...to get to your home.” she said gently. “will we walk...or…?” she asked him curiously. That light ball thing was cool.
“I figured we would fly or run back” he said. He could glide to let Kaze keep up, Mika had an easy enough time keeping up with him running. “If we do, it should only take a few hours, three or four perhaps” he said. They weren’t far after all. If they walked, a day...perhaps but that was without stopping.
