Chapter 44 - The Spell Falls

"You're not too tired, are you?" Kagome asked as they both headed into the bedroom later that evening.
'Yes,' he thought. 'I am absolutely exhausted. Who wouldn't be after moving every piece of furniture in the entire house multiple times?' He truly was. All he wanted to do was crawl into bed and sleep, really sleep, but that wasn't a possibility. It was taking every last ounce of his strength to keep his spell from falling, but he couldn't tell her that.
"Not really, no," he lied.
"Good," she started while slowly unbuttoning her shirt. "Because I'm really horny."
Sesshoumaru nearly choked on his own tongue at her words. Kagome was usually shy about speaking such things aloud, so she definitely caught him unprepared for such a declaration. He watched as she continued removing her clothing, releasing a rumbling growl as she revealed that she was wearing plain white cotton panties and a matching bra. Apparently she remembered he preferred the plain ones to the fancy, because she smirked at him.
The miko still absolutely despised the underwear she was wearing, thinking them to be unattractive, but it was obvious he liked them because he was instantly on his knees at her feet, kissing her lower abdomen along the edge of the fabric. He rose quickly, his hands on her waist, lifting her from the ground as if she were weightless. He laid her on the bed and slowly crawled his way up her body to kiss her.
He knew he shouldn't be doing this. He was incredibly tired, but she was too tempting. They had been having sex very often all month, but that had stopped after her worries over the phone call from the hotel. They hadn't been together since the night she introduced him to her Santa lingerie, and he missed being with her. He would fight his way past his exhaustion, because he refused to disappoint her and himself by backing down.

"Always," he replied before spreading her thighs a bit further and leaning in for his first taste. He flicked his tongue over her clit while running his half-grown claws up her inner thigh. Instantly, Sesshoumaru replaced his thumb with three fingers and pressed down on her clit hard, ripping a scream from her throat as she came hard. He moved his fingers quickly while sliding his thumb over her clit rapidly, keeping her soaring until she was begging him to stop.

Sesshoumaru was far too tired to continue, and if he did so, chances were good that he would lose concentration, and his spell would fall. This time, however, the instinctual side chose to stay silent. He had a feeling that Kagome knew exactly what she was doing. She worked him to the brink of exhaustion only to then initiate sex. She had to have figured out not only that the taiyoukai was hiding something but also how to put a stop to it. Tonight, everything would change.
Sesshoumaru climbed up Kagome's body, lifting her knees as he went, and slowly slid inside her slick heat. His movements were slow, almost lazy, as he fought to keep up his concentration on his spell while at the same time pleasure the woman he loved more than anything. Kagome moaned beneath him, her breasts bouncing with each thrust. He couldn't take his eyes off of her, constantly reminding himself why he was fighting so hard to maintain his concealment when all he wanted was to focus fully on the pleasure of being inside her.
Kagome was watching Sesshoumaru as well, and, after a few minutes, she realized that she couldn't see enough of him. She wanted to see as much of him as possible when his spell fell, and she forced herself to speak up once again.

"I want to be on top," she whispered shyly, only to squeal as the taiyoukai rolled them over in one swift motion.
He loved it when she was on top, and he watched as she sat up and began to lift and lower herself on his cock. She was so beautiful, so perfect, and he prayed that when he finally did reveal all, that she could see past his lies and stay with him. He didn't think he could survive without her.
Kagome studied his body, taking in his pale skin covered with a fine sheen of sweat. This would be the last time she ever saw him like this. In just minutes she would finally discover where all his delicious magenta stripes were located. She already knew he had some on his back from the time he fell asleep while she was giving him a massage, but she suspected there were more. She fully intended on welcoming each one of them with her tongue. His stripes were incredibly sexy in her opinion, and he couldn't have too many.
"I love you," she murmured. After having climaxed multiple times she was losing her patience and growing tired. She could see the exhaustion in his eyes, as well as the struggle to concentrate, and she was tired of it. She wanted him to be focused entirely on her, and so she went in for the kill. She was certain that her next few sentences would be enough to bring his spell down. She was ready to see him, the real him.

"There's something I need to tell you," Kagome said, never slowing her pace. She lifted and lowered herself on his length with what remained of her energy. "It's important." When she was certain she had his attention, she schooled her expression to appear as serious as possible before she said it. "I'm pregnant."
The miko watched as his eyes widened in shock. Then his body began to shimmer, looking like a crystal in the sunlight. When the distortion ended, she saw him as he really was, stripes and all. Kagome nearly moaned at the sight. He had stripes on his upper arms and wrists, and she could also see a pair curving around his waist. She assumed they were connected to the ones she knew were on his back.
"Gods, you're gorgeous," she whispered.
Sesshoumaru was panicking. She caught him off guard, and now his lies were exposed. And she was pregnant! He never felt so vulnerable before.

"You're pregnant?" he repeated slowly, his shock apparent. They never used condoms because she was on birth control. Perhaps they should have as a backup, but he never liked them. He loved the feeling of skin-to-skin contact, and condoms muted that sensation. What did this mean for them? Would she stay for the baby despite his lies? Would she leave and take his pup with her?
Kagome grinned like the Cheshire cat. "No, I'm not, but it certainly got your attention, didn't it?"
"You mean, you did this on purpose?"
The miko nodded, looking very pleased with herself. She stopped moving and leaned forward to perch her chin on her arms over his chest. "If you weren't going to show me the real you when I gave you the chance, over and over I might add, then I decided I would have to make you. Shippo told me you were using a spell, and Sango helped me figure out how to bring it down." Something furry brushed across Kagome's ankle, and her eyes widened. "What the hell was that?" she asked, leaping from the bed, thinking that some kind of furry rodent had climbed into bed with them. When she looked, however, she found something very different that she hadn't expected at all. "A tail? You have a tail?!"

Author's Note: Yes, I know Sesshoumaru's moko-moko is not a tail. You guys should know I know that. But I've never written a fic with him having a tail and I decide back when I started this in 2008 that I would. So please, no lecturing reviews about what it is/is not. I'm having fun with it.
