Title: Breaking camp

Characters: Bankotsu and Jakotsu

Prompt Summary: Jakotsu and Bankotsu plan their next step.

Startled by the location of the kiss, Bankotsu opened his eyes to question him when he found Jakotsu just staring at him with a soft smile playing on his lips. "Why didn't you really kiss me? I wouldn't have agreed if it was going to cause me discomfort, if that is what you are worried about," Bankotsu assured him, but Jakotsu shook his head at the suggestion.

"Your offer was more than enough to make me feel better and I never said the kiss had to be on the lips. I just need to relax for a little while. I hope you don't mind," Jakotsu informed him before leaning forward to rest his head on his shoulder. A bit startled but not about to turn him down for something so simple after what he had just been through, Bankotsu opted, instead of trying to understand anything, to just wrap his arm around him and allow him this comfort.

After a few minutes of silence had passed between them and Bankotsu was certain he was calmed down, he decided it was time to broach the subject of what they would do next. "I think it would be wise for us to begin heading for the next town. I would very much like to sleep in a real bed and I am sure it would do you some good since you ain't used to sleeping on the ground," Bankotsu began as he ascended to his feet before reaching down to help Jakotsu do the same.

"Plus we still need to stock up on the essentials seeing as we weren't able to do so in the last town. If we don't restock our supplied soon we're gonna be going without food in a day or two," Bankotsu informed him; wanting to be certain he didn't go against the idea thinking he was only doing it for him since that wasn't true.

Seeing no reason to go against the suggestion, Jakotsu nodded his head in agreement before the two began gathering up their belongings. Once everything was packed away in the saddle bags and on their backs, the two climbed onto the horse and left their ill fated campsite behind.
