      Kagome waited at Sesshomaru's castle with Rin for Inuyasha and the others to return safely with Ren. However, it has been several days since she saw them. She tried not to think of what could happen, she was sure the two of them could handle Naraku, but this mysterious demon she had no idea. Rin was asleep in her bed Kagome wished she could sleep, but her anxieties were getting the best of her.
Kagome sat down on a futon she decided to work on one of her homework problems to keep her mind off her worries. She opened her bags searching for her homework, only to find a bunch of random books. Her eyes went wide as she realized that not only did she leave all of her homework back in her own time, but at school. Damn it! How could she have forgotten her homework? Especially, when her teacher mentioned something about a pop quiz next week. She let out an aggravated sigh as she looked at the books she did bring.
  The Sorcerer Ichijo , A Demon in the Well, and The War of the Demons. Children stories, thats what they were with usually some fact to them. in her younger years she would have just thought of them as just fictional stories. She picked up A Demon in the Well and began to read.
  A long time ago an unknown demon had wrecked havoc over the country of Japan  killing humans and demons alike for his own pleasure. He was one of the strongest demons in the world nobody felt safe. Anyone who tried to fight him ended up dead within seconds. It was rumored that the demon sucked the soul out of his victims making it so they couldn't go to the hereafter. Demons lost their lives, territories, and respect from him. Humans feared him the most whenever he passed through a village someone always ended up dead. The victim would sweat profusely, the victim would have trouble breathing.
As Kagome read it sounded like the demon was a black widow. The people prayed for a miracle from Buddha, and any other god or goddess. Then one day their wish was granted a young boy had used a sacred arrow and pierced the demon through the back. The demon cried out as he attempted to pull the arrow out of him. The boy shot several more arrows into the demons body, Once the demon lay unmoving the boy said a quick prayer releasing the souls the demon claimed as his prize. The demon became nothing more then a skeleton as the last of the souls left him. The boy pulled out the arrows from the skeleton the demon attacked the boy pinning him to the ground. The boy grabbed something to defend himself from being killed by this demon skeleton. He reached for the biggest rock he could reach and thrust with all his might to shatter the skull.
  The skeleton lay unmoving. The boy took the remains of the skeleton and tossed it down a nearby dried up well. The boy was just about to leave when he heard something from the well "You may have killed me as it were but I promise I will be back."
The boy afraid what the future might hold if he didnt do something quick. He pulled out another arrow and shot it down into the well, before saying a prayer concealing the demon inside for an eternity.
The book ended there. Kagome was about to reach for another book to read when she heard the distinct voices of Sango and Miroku. She got up quickly to greet them.
"Sango, Miroku were back! Where is Inuyasha, Sesshomaru, and Ren?"
  "They went after the demon." Sango said.
  "I'm going!" Kagome said determination shining in her eyes.
"Now Kagome dont fear so much Inuyasha, Sesshomaru, and Ren will all be back in no time." MIroku said.
"But....that demon isn't just any ordinary demon...."
"I am aware of that Kagome, but this isn't our fight its between Inuyasha, Sesshomaru, Ren, and that demon."
  "No... That demon is a Black Widow demon, the very first black widow demon. He'll use every dirty trick in the book to get what he wants."
  "Kagome if any one of us goes we'll end up dead, none of us are strong enough to defeat such a demon like him." Sango said sadly.
   "I don't care! There has to be a way to destroy him completely and I am going to find a way."
"And what about Rin?"
  "We can take her to Kaede's before we go to help Inuyasha and the others."
  Sango and Miroku sighed there was no point in trying to argue with her when she made up her mind. "Do you have a plan?" Sango asked.
  Kagome nodded as she grabbed her arrows and bow and headed out.
