5. The black orchid.

Inuyasha sniffed the night air and was relieved to find it clean
from any kind of danger; he could leave the camp without fearing for their
safety. He scurried off into the darkness in search for a new flower to give his
beloved. And he found one, a rare flower indeed. A black orchid, perfect. He
carefully nipped a black blossom from the stalk and went back to camp.

Shippou had rolled off her stomach and lay beside the taijya.
With almost no sound at all, Inuyasha walked over to Sango and placed the flower
next to her pillow. He brushed a few black strands from her face and let a
clawed finger trace her satin like features. �Do you know how much I love you
Sango?� he thought and let his finger rest on her soft lips. But what he
failed to noticed was that the monk looked at him under black bangs.

�So Inuyasha, you are the one who gives Sango the flowers? But
why?�
the monk thought and closed his eyes again as he saw the hanyou retreat to his
tree again.

Sango awoke to the light snore from Shippou and she wiggled her
way out from the sleeping bag. A new dark lilac flower lay beside her pillow and
she sighed. Why did he insist o giving her flower? She placed it carefully in
her little bag before she went to wake Kagome. It was time for the girls to have
a talk, if they did not sort this mess out, their group would divide into two
hateful parties, and Sango did not want that. But before she could reach the
miko from the future she was grabbed by someone and she got a damp cloth pushed
into her face. What ever it was it made her loose consciousness.

� In the camp.. �

Inuyasha was furious, someone had taken his mate. He sniffed the
air and found traces of a sleep inducing liquid. He snarled and was ready to
jump off to find his mate. Kagome had to sit him several times before she got
him to promise not to run off alone to hunt who ever had taken Sango away from
them. She had made a decision last night; she would probably take up on the wolf
prince�s offer now that Inuyasha was lost to her. She was a bit sad, but at the
same time she was relieved. Now she did not have to worry about being compared
to a dead woman anymore.

-

Ok, are we
all ready to leave? asked a restless hanyou. He had Sango�s things in his hands
and he carried her enormous weapon on his back. I want to find her as quickly as
possible.

-

Inuyasha,
take it easy, we will find her, assured the monk and received a snarl from the
hanyou.

-

For every
minute you lazy worms are here she is going further away, I need to find her
soon. She is mine.

Ok, now it was out in the open for sure, but Inuyasha could not
care less right now. He was rewarded by a confused stares but he would just
shake his head. This was not the time to talk about this. His heart was squeezed
with cold hands with the thought of her being lost to them.
�Hang on my love. I will get you and I will get who ever dared to
steal you away from
me.�
he vowed.

A few moments later they took off, Kagome, Miroku and Shippou
rode on the transformed fire cat, Inuyasha jumped from tree to tree, sniffing
the air for his beloved.

� Miles away� �

Sango awoke with a nice set of invisible hammers, banging their
way upon her head, or at least it felt like a bunch of hammers. �What the
hell happened?� she grunted and tried to open her eyes. But as the pain
inside her head seemed to increase she gave up and let her eyes stay closed. She
recalled something very fast and very dark that grabbed her and then she had
been knocked out with some form of poison. She listened carefully for any kind
of odd sounds from her surroundings, but all she could hear were birds chirping
outside the room. �Wait a minute; those sounds are made by mountain birds. I
am somewhere in the mountains.� A thump made her decide she needed to open
her eyes regardless the pain in her head. When her eyes grew accustomed to the
dusky room she felt a small jolt of fear in her chest. But she was surprised
too; she recognized the painted walls in the room. She had been here before, but
it was a long time ago now. �I did not think he would ever have the courage
to do something like this, this stupid.� she growled low and tried to stand
up, but the drug had her limbs unstable, so she had to wait a little bit more.
�But as soon as my strength is back I will fucking kick
your ass Lord Takeda.�

� Hot on her trail� �

Kagome pointed to a castle situated on a mountain, it was
possible that who ever took Sango had brought her here, and by the look on
Inuyasha�s face it was most likely.

I know this
smell, Inuyasha said and wrinkled his nose when they had landed a mile away from
the castle.

-

You do?

-

Yes, it is
the fucking idiot that tried to take Sango away from me, I mean from us, all
those years ago, trying to get her to marry him. The spoiled king, don�t you
remember him?

-

Yes, I
remember him. He was a sleazy kind of person, said Kagome and frowned; the small
slip had her head spin around again. Are you saying that he is the one who has
kidnapped her?

-

It appears
that way, said Miroku and grabbed his staff and waited for any sort of attacking
command.

But none of them had counted to hear Sango�s roar from inside the
castle.

Inuyasha wasted no time and leaped up onto the protective walls
and bashed his way into the castle. But he stopped dead in his tracks when he
saw the ferocious taijya battle half battalion of soldiers with her bare hands,
and she was winning! �She is indeed perfect.� thought Inuyasha and took
the boomerang from his shoulder.

OI SANGO � CATCH!!!
he shouted and threw the weapon down to the fighting taijya.

Thanks
Loverboy, she blinked at him and she easily caught her Hiraikotsu. A small blush
appeared on her face when she realized what she had said, but she soon forgot as
she crushed the nose on the next rag doll to get in the way of her fists.

Kagome and Miroku jumped off Kirara to stand next to slightly
blushing Inuyasha. They all had heard Sango�s small remark and the rest of the
group raised their eyebrows in a questioning manner.

W-what is
happening here? Why do you not help her Inuyasha? asked a worried Shippou.

-

Because I do
not want to spoil her fun, look at her, she does not need our help, said
Inuyasha and pointed down onto the battlefield.

Indeed, Sango was in no need of any help. She knocked out one
soldier after another, working her way towards the trembling form of Lord
Takeda. Inuyasha guessed that the king was near to piss his pants in fear of the
taijya�s rage.

-

He is in for
it now, I can tell you that, giggled Kagome and watched the scenery below her.

-

Indeed he
is. Perhaps this will teach him a lesson that you can not have everything you
point at, said the monk and rested against his staff.

Inuyasha smiled inwardly and jumped down to help her with the
rest of the soldiers.
