Torn between two brothers.

Kagome was staring at the ceiling. “Choose?”she questioned while pushing herself away from the demon lord. “Are you insane?”Kagome continued as she brought herself to stand next to the “bed” they had been lounging on. “This shouldn't even be happening......you're...you're under a spell...or I'm under a spell..or maybe I'm still asleep.” She pinched herself which brought a smile to Sesshoumaru's face. “Look..I'm very sorry..but you and you're brother...this can't be all me....”

Sesshoumaru jumped quickly in front of Kagome, so quickly in fact that she could feel the wind rush against her face as he stopped only two inches in front of her, stareing down at her again with his piercing golden eyes. Gently, he ran his hand through her hair, letting his gaze wander across the midnight locks as if they held some sort of answer. “Do you doubt my feelings?” he questioned in his monotone voice.

Kagome found herself backing up again, slowly, until she was backed into a wall. She sighed heavily, “Why would you and Inu Yasha suddenly WANT me at the same time? The only time I've ever been around you, you seemed to want me dead, and Inu Yasha would rather die himself then ever admit that he cared for someone.” She lowered her gaze, deep in contemplation, and a little distressed that she had just confessed no one could ever feel for her of their own free will.

Sesshoumaru simply hooked a finger under her chin to bring her face to his and kissed her sweetly. Kagome pushed him away quickly. “Your not listening!” ,she sputtered “besides I promised Inu Yasha I would always be by his side...somehow I don't think he'd be very understanding if he knew I were sleeping with his brother.” Sesshoumaru smirked, nuzzling his face into the curve of her neck again, inhaling her scent. “I have not marked you with my scent,” he began as he let his hand roam over her bare stomach, “because I do not wish to make the decision for you. All I ask is that you consider what I'm offering. I understand that you and my .....brother” she sensed a bit of bitterness in his words, “have a tie that cannot be broken, but Inu Yasha is not known for his loyalties. You know to what I am refering.” Kagome felt a pang of sadness recalling all the times Inu Yasha had talked about Kikyou. “I am not asking you to abandon the hanyou,” Sesshoumaru continued, “just to consider other ....options.” He clamped his hand over her thigh. Kagome stiffened. “I----” she began, only to be interrupted by a large crash coming from the next room. “KAGOME!” She recognized the voice.

Inu Yasha charged into the room, claws bared, “Get your dirty hands off her!”

Sesshoumaru stepped in front of Kagome with his usual ice cold expression painted on his face. “Good morning Inu Yasha.”

“What have you done to Kagome you bastard.” Inu Yasha snarled.

Sesshoumaru smirked, “Nothing she didn't want.”

Inu Yasha fumed, “Kagome get down! I'm taking him out!”

Kagome stared at the two men, unsure of how to act. 'I can't let them kill each other, none of this makes sense.' She grabbed a discarded blanket from off the floor and wrapped it around her body, stepping in-between the two dog demons. “Stop it!” she screamed. “You're both under a spell or on drugs or something. Can't you see it? There's no reason for you to act this way.....well actually...wanting to kill each other is pretty normal..but this whole lets make Kagome a great big whore thing is really getting old. Nobody has been listening to me for the last few days and I have had it! WE, ~ALL OF US~, are going to Kaeda's village to sort this out, or......or I swear I will jump through the well and destroy it so I can NEVER come back.” She staggered a bit, surpised herself as the empty threat escaped her lips, but determined to get her point across.

Inu Yasha just stared at her quietly, not sure how to break the silence that filled the air after Kagome's harsh words. “Are you saying I have to travel with h--?” Inu Yasha began as Kagome interrupted. “YES!” she stated bluntly, “does anyone have a problem with that?” she turned around to question the demon lord.

“I wish only to please you, Kagome.” he retorted coldly.

Inu Yasha hissed as he heard Kagome's name come from his brothers mouth. Kagome herself was a little shocked by this, since this was the first time she had ever heard him say her name. “and no violence until AFTER we figure this mess out.” She turned back to Inu Yasha.

“Keh!” Inu Yasha snorted “Fine, but if he hurts you I make no promises.”

Kagome sighed, “Thank you.” She wrapped the blanket tighter around her body as both brothers eyed each other intensely. Inu Yasha motioned her out the door as Sesshoumaru quietly followed them. Inu Yasha lead Kagome and Sesshoumaru out of the demons lord castle causiously. He turned his back to her, motioning her to climb on, as he had done so many times before. “Hurry up Kagome lets get this over with.”

Sesshoumaru let out a low growl. Kagome blinked “Um...Maybe thats not such a good idea Inu Yasha.” “Why the hell not?” Inu Yasha commanded.

“I, Sesshoumaru, could carry her.” the demon lord put bluntly, now evoking Inu Yasha's wrath.

“Nevermind! I'll walk!” Kagome interjected, heading in the direction of Kaeda's village.

Inu Yasha wimpered “But that will take forever!”

“Would you rather Sesshoumaru carried me?” she questioned.

“HELL NO!” Inu Yasha snarled.

“Then we walk.” She huffed, readjusting the blanket and tucking it around her so that it wouldn't slip as much. “At this point I don't think its a good idea for either of you to be touching me anyways.”

Both men smirked slightly and then eyed each other with obvious hatred, following Kagome back to the village.
