Two hours later they had
shimmed through a lot of papers and articles, but nothing helped Rin. Souta was
about to close down the computer when she made a small sound, or rather a
shrieking gasp.

-

What is it Rin-chan? asked Souta worriedly.

-

W-who is that? asked Rin breathlessly and pointed towards a
small advertising banner on the screen.

-

That, that is one of the most popular singers in Japan, said
Souta. � His name is Ken Fue.

-

It�s him!

-

What?

-

That is the man I must destroy, said Rin and looked into
Souta�s dark grey eyes.

No, you must be mistaken�

-

No Souta-kun, that is the man.
�Fuck, this is not
good. Ken Fue is more guarded than the imperial family.�
sighed Souta and felt the hopelessness turn
his stomach inside and out. He dragged his fingers through his black hair and
let out a frustrated sound. He looked at Rin again and saw her shaking and he
knew she was scared. He took her hand and pulled her up and hugged her tight
before moving downstairs.
Souta sat down on the
sofa and pulled Rin down to sit in his lap. Her body was tense and he rubbed his
hand up and down her back to soothe her. He could feel her bury her face into
his neck and he suppressed the lust to carry her back to his room and make love
to her. �This is not the time to think like that you perv�� he scolded
himself.

It�s ok Rin-chan, don�t worry, we will work something out, he
whispered.
Rin�s head shot up, her
eyes widened and her mouth fell open and then a small light began to glow inside
her eyes. Then she smiled and turned her head and kissed Souta�s lips. The, at
first, innocent kiss soon turned into something that almost set the room on
fire. She felt his hands grab her hips as he plundered her sweet mouth,
devouring her taste. Soon his right hand moved up to part her haori, he wanted
to feel her skin under his palm.
Rin was not passive
either, she found her way into his shirt, stroking her fingers over the hard
muscles that played under his skin. Then she remembered and she pulled away, not
much, just enough to tell him what she had discovered.

R-rin�. breathed Souta.

-

It�s the flute Souta-kun, the flute, said Rin.

-

Flute? What are you talking about?

-

The flute he was holding, that is the source of evil that I
am suppose to destroy. You said he was a singer, do you think I could hear him?
asked Rin.

-

Of course, wait here, I have CD with him.
Rin moved to sit on the
sofa, but when Souta was about to get up she grabbed him by his collar and
pulled him down for another heated kiss. When she let go she could see the
passion glowing inside his eyes.

You are playing with fire Rin-chan, said Souta harshly.

-

I know, but I can not help it� said Rin and blushed.
Souta smiled and kissed
her nose before he went to his room to get the CD.

�Kaede-sama�. why did
you not tell me about this� this fire? Why do I feel like I am about to burst
with emotions?� thought Rin
and saw Souta come back and put something inside a strange machine, she had yet
to get used to all the �magic� gadgets of this age. Soon a dark voice
accompanied with flute play filled the living room. The hair on Rin�s body stood
on end when the voice silenced and another flute took over, yes she was sure of
it now, it was the flute that was evil. The song was about mankind�s violent
destruction, and when Souta showed her the texts of the other songs they too
were dark and contained death and misery. �Poor Ken, he must suffer under the
spell that the flute produces.� thought Rin.

You are sure? Asked Souta and stopped the player.

-

Yes, I am sure. He is influenced by the flute, we must
destroy the flute Souta-kun or else his songs can come true.

-

I will see if I can get hold of his touring schedule. It will
be tough to get close enough to destroy the flute, but we must try. But first I
must arrange a permit so you to carry those swords in public.

What? You mean I must have someone�s permission to carry my
swords? Rin was very confused.

-

Yes, weapons are not allowed unless you have a special reason
for it, said Souta. � I will try to get you such permission from the police.

Police?

-

The force that upholds the law in this country, explained
Souta.

-

Oh� I understand.

-

Don�t worry; I will not be gone long. Why don�t you get some
rest, or you can look around the shrine. But don�t go too far, I don�t want to
pick you up at the police station later.
Souta smiled when Rin
blushed. �She is the best thing that has happened to me in years.� His
heart fluttered and he knew that he was falling for her. He took his jacket from
the closet and put it on. Rin came up to him and gave him a hug from behind. Her
small hands were crossed over his chest.

Why do you have his music Souta-kun? asked Rin silently.

-

My life before was not a happy life Rin-chan, I could easily
identify myself in his songs, Souta said truthfully and turned around in her
embrace. He cupped her face and looked down into her young beautiful face. He
could see small crystal tears in her eyes. � But that was before I met you
Rin-chan.
Rin leaned into his touch
and closed her eyes. She wanted him, he was the one for her. Kaede had talked
about love, and that must be what she had for him� love. �I love you Souta��
The thought shocked her, she had only met him yesterday� But it was the truth.
Her heart and soul had chosen her mate.

Be careful Souta-kun, said Rin and rose up on her toes and
kissed him.
And like the last kisses
this too was threatening to burn the place down. Souta was lost the second he
felt her soft lips against his. His hands moved down to her behind, he pushed
her towards the wall and lifted her up and he could feel her strong legs
encircle his waist. The heat was building up between them and neither of them
wanted to put it out. Not just yet.
Souta�s began to kiss
down her throat, nipping her skin, leaving small love bites behind in his trail.
He pushed his straining erection into her centre, drawing out a ragged moan from
the small female inside his arms. He pulled away and saw her flushed face, her
lips swollen from his kisses.

I must go Rin-chan, he said and pushed into her one more
time, making her gasp.

-

Hurry back�. she whispered when she came around.

-

I will.
He let her go and then he
was gone. Rin saw him disappear down the stairs to the shrine and she took a
deep breath. This was not healthy, this was slowly killing her from the inside.
�I wish Kaede was here so I could ask her about what is happening to us.�
she thought and closed the door and went into the kitchen to make something to
eat.
