Chapter Three
Subete wa God Knows
(God Knows Everything)

Inuyasha sighed in relief when he finally reached his own room inside the grand castle of their father's. The journey home with Sesshoumaru had almost drove him insane. To have another youkai like him around at the time of the heat was unbearable. He knew that in youkai society it was common to mate within the family but still the thought of attacking Sesshoumaru sexually was quite disturbing to say at the very least. Not that he hadn't thought about it.

What made it worse was the fact that his brother was also in heat. The scent coming off him was delicious. When he just savoured the memory of it, Inuyasha's legs gave in and he slumped on the floor. He had to restrain himself. One mistake and he would be paying dearly for it. He had no idea what their father had planned in the matter of mating and it wouldn't be wise to mate if he did not have the consent of his father.

Mating was primal matter but still a proper protocol applied to it. The mate would be chosen by him but he would have to present them to his father and if his father approved there would be nothing to stop him. It didn't matter if it was a demon or a human to his father, he knew that much, but still there might be someone he wouldn't approve of. Maybe his father would be willing to let him take Sesshoumaru as his mate?

Inuyasha shook his head to clear it from the disturbing thoughts about his brother and what would it be like to... No! He wouldn't go there. He had to keep his mind in firm grip. He knew that soon there would a healer who would give him some calming potion to keep himself sane. His father would be expecting him to meet in his study first thing in the morning. He already knew what he was going to say. There was one thing though he wanted to ask. How would he know when his real mate was right in front of his eyes?

AN: I'm getting scared here XD I hope no one seriously whips me although it might be good ;D
Well anyway, as I said, these chapters are short on purpose. I'm lazy as hell so that's the reason in reality.
