Sorry for the wait! Been pretty busy with the holidays, work, school, and everything else life entails. ^_^
Love seeing the reviews! Really gets me going. It inspires me to write more when I have positive feedback, so thank you!
Like I said, soon I’ll probably be putting 2 chapters together at a time so the chapters are longer. Right now they feel pretty short and therefore makes it feel rushed.

Kagome rushed out of the room with Miroku as quickly as possible. She had unknowingly grabbed onto the back of his shirt, gripping it slightly as she followed him; him as her guide.
Her heart was hammering in her chest as the wave of emotions flooded back to her. The memories of his body emanating heat and reflecting back onto her. The way he sunk his fangs into her flesh, causing a sensual type of ache to resonate throughout her body. Kagome’s legs felt weak once more at the thought of what had just transpired. There is no way that this is normal. No way.
Kagome quickly pushed away her dangerous thoughts and shook her head left to right. She let go of Miroku’s shirt and balled her fists tightly, feeling an unnerving amount of frustration overcome her.
“…emons… upid mansion…” Kagome mumbled to herself.
Miroku stopped in his tracks and looked back to Kagome, “What was that?”
Kagome looked up at him startled, “W-what? Nothing.”
“Riiiiiiggghhhttt,” Miroku looked forward and started walking again.
Kagome sighed and released her tightly balled fists from their misery. She looked up, eyeing the area around her. They were just a few rooms down from Sesshoumaru’s chambers now, and it didn’t look like they were headed back to the bedroom she was put in the night before.
“Miroku, where are we going?” she asked.
“Taking you to where you’ll now be staying, where it will be safer,” he replied.
“Safer? What does it need to be safer for? No one even knows where this place is except the people that are here, right?” Kagome asked, panic laced within her tone.
She waited a moment before grabbing onto his arm after receiving no response, “Miroku!”
He turned to her, his expression looked as if he had his own questions that had been left unanswered, “You really have no idea, do you?”
Kagome frowned at his comment, unsure of how to take it, “What are you talking about?”
Miroku shook his head and looked down at the ground momentarily, “Kagome, you are the first Miko to exist in over a hundred years. Your kind was said to be gone,“ he was now looking at her. His expression was a mix of emotions that Kagome could not place.
“What do you mean ‘gone‘?” Kagome let go of his arm, not knowing how to react to his claim.
“Gone as in extinct! Terminated!” Miroku flailed his hands in the air, his voice sounding angry as he spoke.
Kagome swallowed hard as worry furrowed her brows. How was she supposed to handle hearing something like that? Accept it and move on? Cry? Was she really a Miko?
Kagome had heard stories about female holy beings before from her parents, but never thought anything of it. Just an old wise-man’s tale that was passed down for generations. And here she was, being told she was one of them. She just couldn’t force herself to believe it.
Before Kagome had the chance to react, Miroku had grabbed onto her hand and made her continue walking towards their destination. Only a few moments later and Miroku led her to a room that was in the same hall as Sesshoumaru’s. Kagome bit her lip gently and followed Miroku into the new room.
Miroku brought Kagome over to one of the couches inside of the room and motioned for her to sit down. Kagome did as she was supposed to, and watched as he left out the same door they came in. Kagome had a feeling he would be back, and surveyed the new room she would be staying in.
It seemed to be much like the last room, except this room had no windows. The bed had red, black and gold décor rather than the simple yet elegant black and gold as the last room. The bleakness of the room, caused by the lack of windows, was offset by the many plants in different areas of the room. Kagome continued her inspection, and smiled in wonder as she spotted the new bathroom. The doors were made of glass and she could see a bit of what it looked like inside. Kagome got up from the couch and walked into the newly found bathroom. It was like a hot spring; rocks circling the hot water with many more plants surrounding that. There were manmade stairs that led into the water, of which were made from the same rock. It didn’t seem too deep, but it did look too big for just one person to have. Kagome looked around the room more and found a wooden door that seemed to lead to another room. Kagome opened the door and glanced inside and found that it was a small sauna. She smiled widely and closed the door. Maybe this won’t be so bad!
Kagome turned around briskly and ran right into Miroku, causing a quiet gasp on her part.
“It’s nice in here, huh? Though, we’re basically in the middle of the entire mansion right now, so that’s why there are no windows,” Miroku smiled.
“Well, it’s not like I’ll be shut off from the real world when I’m outside of this room, right?” she asked him cleverly, trying to see if he’d give in to the bait.
Miroku grinned at her, “I guess we’ll see.”
Kagome’s smile wavered, the cold hard truth ramming into her face. She was kidnapped. Someone stole her and brought her here for an unknown reason. She was now something like a slave and prisoner to one of the most powerful men in the world, or the most powerful. So how was anyone supposed to save her? What could he possibly want from her?
Kagome’s smile finally dissipated and walked into the bedroom once more, sitting herself on the couch where Miroku had previously said to.
Miroku followed her, feeling somewhat guilty for causing her grief. He didn’t want to be the bad guy, but there was really nothing else he could do except hope she would someday trust him enough to let him provide her with emotional support.
“This is for you,” Miroku broke the silence and held up a necklace in front of her. It was simple and delicate. It was an amethyst crystal-like gem that bled into emerald on the edges.
“What are you giving me this for?” she asked as she stared at the piece of jewelry, somewhat entranced by it.
“This has been passed down in the Taisho family for a long time, back to the day when there were many more of your kind,” he replied.
“So you’re giving it to me as a hand-me-down, pretty much?”
“Not… necessarily-” Miroku was cut off as someone had thrown the door open, making themselves quite noticed.
Kagome looked towards the door and found Sesshoumaru himself to be walking over to her and Miroku. He had three other people with him, two stayed at the front of the door and waited, and the other followed him. They all seemed to be demons too, from what Kagome could tell.
“Continue,” Sesshoumaru instructed as he sat down on the opposing chair, sitting in it as if he owned the damn place. Well he does.
Miroku continued, “It was passed down over the years and you are the rightful owner of it seeing as you are the last Miko, but there is a spell on it. The spell binds your powers and disables you from using them offensively. Things like being able to heal won’t be affected, though. Your aura will not be noticeable either, it will be masked with the spell,” Miroku explained.
Kagome sat there dumbfounded, unable to produce any words. How was she supposed to handle being told that she was a Miko with special powers, but they were going to hide it by putting on a silly necklace that her ancestors made, had, or something, whatever?
Before Kagome could speak, Sesshoumaru came to stand in front of her. Kagome noticed that he was now fully clothed, but it unwillingly excited her just as much.
Sesshoumaru snatched the necklace from Miroku and looked down at the female in front of him. He could sense her doubt and confusion, and quickly decided that there would be more trouble if she were to think too into it. He couldn’t handle that headache.
“Look at this Sesshoumaru, Miko,” he insisted with his smooth as silk, yet stone cold voice.
Kagome gazed up at the man towering before her. His eyes were set downcast as he looked at her from above. His golden eyes remained on her still form as he lifted the necklace with both of his hands down over her head, then let it drop to dangle around her neck. Sesshoumaru put a hand on the back of the couch she sat on as he leaned over her, making her sit flush against it. He stared directly into her blue-gray eyes and whispered, “You are bound to me.”
His breath wafted over her skin, causing goose bumps to form along her arms and legs. She shivered as he stood back up and made to leave the room without saying another word.
What do you guys think? Too short? I will probably update this chapter and just add in a whole 'nother mini-chapter like it has been. Keep watching for updates! And keep the reviews coming!
