Sesshoumaru walked with in his region, close to the Bone Eater's Well though he knew his wretch of a brother lived in the human village not too far from it. His companions traveled behind him, always not too far from where he was. Jaken talking sternly to Rin as always for her humming, the toad always seemed to assume that things the child did got on the dog demon's nerves when in fact they didn't. The lord stopped when he caught a scent on the wind, a scent he had not encountered in several years. In fact the last he had smelled the scent of snow and strawberries was on the night his father died and his half-brother was born. He growled low before he collected his composure as Rin and Jaken got closer.
“Jaken.”“Aye mi lord?” Jaken had stopped and beside him the dragon demon, Ah-Un stopped with him, Rin riding on his back.“Stay here with Rin and Ah-Un.” Not another word was spoken by Sesshoumaru before he took off, heading in the direction he could smell the scent coming from. So she's visiting Inuyasha, foolish wench will learn her place. He continued running at a break neck speed through the forests. He could hear off in the distance the mournful howl he knew to be hers, but he wasn't going to stop. The lord of the west continued running, not daring to let the intruder get away from him. He didn't even pause for a moment when he ran passed Inuyasha who looked surprised.“Sesshoumaru!” The hanyou called out to his elder brother.“Stay out of this, Inuyasha.” Sesshoumaru growled back to the half breed and continued running after the she-wolf.“Damn it!” Inuyasha growled but knew better than to interfere. He wasn't about to get between the two youkai of two different regions. No, this was way of his hands. Sesshoumaru continued his pursuit knowing he was just a few feet from the female and closing in. Aiyuki knew pretty well who was behind her and knew she wasn't about to get away easily. She leaped from the tree line in to her more humanoid form and spun around, Kageyoku now in her hand as she readied to face off with the one demon she wished to avoid.“Come on you bastard.” She growled and wasn't too surprised as the demon lord came out of the forest at full speed, Tokijin drawn. Aiyuki braced herself as the sound of metal clanging echoed all around them.“I told you never to come in my territory, wench.” Sesshoumaru glared at the demoness trying to defend herself.“Believe me, Sesshoumaru, I wouldn't have come through if I didn't have business here!” She snapped at him before she quickly pushed him away. Sesshoumaru slid back to a stop none too pleased with how this fight was starting out.“You've learned from Father well. Do you think however it will be enough to defeat me?” He regained his posture and readied himself to strike her again.“Defeat you? No. Keep me alive? Yes.” She smirked and switched Kageyoku to her left hand as she drew Kouyoku with her right, wielding both swords now. Aiyuki readied herself for another attack but she held a slight smirk.“I'll prove you wrong.” Sesshoumaru rushed for her but wasn't expecting her next move.“Taiyou furea!” Aiyuki raised Kouyoku high and the blade created light brighter than the noon sun. Sesshoumaru stopped before he reached her, his eye sight now rendered useless for the moment. How could she be this clever? Has she changed and got as such over so little time?“I'm sorry, Sesshoumaru.” Aiyuki sheathed both of her swords before she turned her back on him. “The effects will wear off soon but I must gather the wolves to defeat Naraku. Then and only then will I allow you to kill me for my trespassing upon your territory.” Aiyuki looked behind her a moment before she quickly took off again making sure to get as much distance between her and Sesshoumaru as she could.Did she say she was going to defeat Naraku? Foolish woman. Naraku will die by my hands. Sesshoumaru let out a low growl before he propped himself against a tree, waiting for the effects of her spell to wear off. Aiyuki had only looked back a couple of times as she continued to run, not sensing the dog demon following her she relaxed and turned attention back in front of her. She had a feeling it wouldn't take too long to find Kouga and his clan.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~“Kouga wait up!”“Slow down! We're not in that much of a hurry to get to the village are we?!” Two wolf demons by the name of Hakkaku and Ginta followed behind their leader, the wolf pack running alongside them trying to keep up. “You know you're just going to end up fighting with Inuyasha once we get there!” Ginta wasn't too happy that Kouga was all of a sudden in such a hurry to get to Inuyasha's village.“I'm not going there to see Inuyasha or Kagome.” Kouga had stopped allowing his pack a small breather. “As much as I'd like to check up on things that wasn't why we're heading that way.” Kouga looked to the sky line as he plopped down by the river, the wolves drinking happily.“Then why are we going there?” Hakkaku raised a brow not quite sure what got their leader in such a sour mood.“She's there.”“She?” Ginta looked to Hakkaku who shrugged.“The wolf of the east. Said to have been raised by the dogs of the west, she's here in this region again.” Kouga looked to his last remaining members of his tribe. “No doubt she's coming to talk with us.”“Why would she want to talk with us?” Hakkaku asked as Ginta got a drink of water.“To talk about a possible joining of forces. My clan and Kouga's.” The males turned around to see Aiyuki standing upon a boulder staring down at them. They hadn't even sensed her get there so quickly! The wolves all faced towards her growling in warning but didn't dare attack until Kouga would give the word.“Joining forces? For what?” Kouga had found a boulder of his own and sat upon it crossing his arms as he gave the she-wolf his full attention.“Taking down Naraku.” Aiyuki sat down herself and gave him a grin. “The half-breed invaded my lands, killed many of my clan, and dared to force my hand in to retreat. I will not simply roll over and allow him this victory so easily.” She clenched her fists tightly. “So will you aid me Kouga? Will you give me the power of you and your clan?” She asked hoping to be able to convince him with those words alone.“What you see here is what you get, Lady Aiyuki.” Kouga closed his eyes stated to her rather bluntly.“What?” She looked to the small pack. “Surely you jest.”“No, I don't.”“Our clan was nearly wiped out by Kagura, one of Naraku's incarnations. We're the only to survive.” Ginta stated to her, their emotions carrying a sadness to them which only seem to confirm with her that their story was no lie.“Then you wish revenge as much as I?” She tilted her head and was pleased to see the wolf Lord nod his head. “It is settled then. My soldiers are waiting at the Eastern borders, awaiting my return. I must go to Ayame and see if I can't get the Northern tribe to join with us. The southern clan has already gone and awaited at the border.” She stood up and smiled.“It won't be that simple, Lady Aiyuki. Naraku is crafty and he's got a way to escape every time.” Kouga crossed his arms, his eyes still closed.“Then we don't have much time to waste. I will not rest until my lands are secure again. I don't need Sesshoumaru trying to step in if he is planning to defeat Naraku as well.” She stood up as the wind picked up, her eyes looked towards the sky as she glared. The wolves became a little unsettled as the wind continued to pick up.“You're sensing something.” Kouga looked to her having opened his eyes when the wind picked up.“There is something amiss. I can smell it on the wind.” Aiyuki continued to stay still until she heard a long howl coming from far off towards the east.“Was that one of yours?” Kouga stood up having heard it too.“The battle has already begun.” Aiyuki growled. “I told them to not go until I said other wise! The fools!” Aiyuki jumped from the boulder but was stopped by Kouga for a moment.“Lead the way, I'll follow.” He grinned and Aiyuki gave him a smirk back before she quickly took off running. Kouga looked to his pack and smiled. “I'll be back, stay here and stay out of trouble.” He then quickly took off after Aiyuki not giving either of the two wolf males a chance to argue.Aiyuki continued to run as fast as she could, but could see even Kouga was having a little trouble keeping up with her speed. She jumped high in to the air and when she landed again she was in her wolf form. She stopped and looked to Kouga.“Get on. It will be faster this way.”“I can run just fine. The shards--”“Have given you much in the way of speed, but I'll be able to cover more ground for both of us in this form.” She gave a low growl and Kouga let out a soft growl himself before he jumped up on to her back. He grabbed on to her fur and stared ahead.“Alright then, have it your way.” He muttered to her and she inwardly smirked before she quickly took off again, almost managing to throw the male off her back.“Hang on tight.” She let out a long loud howl letting her men know she was on her way. She wasn't at all too happy that they were starting without her order, but there must have been something that happened to cause her generals to start the war early. She only hoped she'd get there in time to keep from needless blood to be spilled if Naraku wasn't there himself. There was not point as she saw to lose wolves to minor enemies when their real foe was much stronger. While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
