Forceful Decision
Chapter Five
InuYasha sighed as he lay content on the lush grass in one of the many gardens that surrounded the Western Palace. The healer had told Sesshomaru to allow him time outside as it was beneficial for the health of the pup if InuYasha was relaxed and happy. Sesshomaru had relucantly agreed but only for the pup's sake and InuYasha was to be kept under supervision by Thalia and a few of the palace guards; InuYasha however didn't care as long as he could feel the grass beneath his feet. The sun was warm with a light breeze. Thalia smiled down at him as she leaned over. InuYasha sat up and allowed her to sit beside him.
"You seem very relaxed today" Thalia noted
"I hate being cooped up; even if I'm injured. I guess it's because when I was young I spent most of my time outside whether I was injured or not. It's comforting I guess" he replied.
"It must be good travelling around as you have and having adventures" Thalia spoke softly causing InuYasha to gaze at her.
"I was born here so I know nothing of outside these walls apart from what young Rin told me" Thalia told him. InuYasha glanced at the kind demoness and didn't know whether to feel sorry for her or not. To be honest, she wasn't missing much however, InuYasha would rather live outside of the walls he was surrounded in and being able to visit different places and meet new people even if they hated him. A low grumble was heard, signalling that InuYasha was hungry. Sesshomaru had ordered that InuYasha was to eat and not allowed to go hungry for the sake of the growing pup; Sesshomaru wanted to ensure the pup would be strong which meant that InuYasha had to keep his energy up and well rested. Thalia got to her feet and swiftly returned with a tray of food. She placed it infront of InuYasha before she sat down once more. They ate quietly; unaware of the figure approaching them.
A light breeze blew over the both of them, alerting them of a person approaching them. InuYasha sneered at the familiar scent of Sesshomaru however it wasn't Sesshomaru approaching. The scent reminded him of water lillies; the exact opposite to Sesshomaru, who smelt of fire; the kind of fire that destroyed everything in its path. He turned to see a tall, elegant demoness approach; her head held high; her clothes expensive looking. Her long silver hair lay loose but not out of place. She came to a halt and InuYasha caught the sight of Thalia bowing her head.
"So you are the infamous InuYasha that my mate had with his human pet. I must say I am highly suprised you turned out as well as you have. Half breeds are often ugly, vicisous creatures that are killed at birth or killed before they get to your age" Her tone was cold with a hint of distain. Puppy ears flicked back as InuYasha got to his feet.
"Look I don't know or care who you are but people like you turn my stomach thinking your better than me as though its my fault I am what I am. I didn't ask to be born a hanyou so if I offend you than piss off" InuYasha snarled causing the woman to narrow her amber eyes at him.
"Do you know who I am you insolent mongrel?" she asked as her temper began to flare. InuYasha scoffed at that.
"Like I said I don't care because I ain't respecting anyone that doesn't respect me" responded InuYasha.
"Well you are indeed as brave as they so or perhaps foolish but either way my name is Lady InuKimi, the mother of Lord Sesshomaru" she introduced herself; her head held high and dignified. InuYasha saw a bit of his mother in the woman. No matter what had been thrown at her, his mother Lady Izayoi had always kept her head high and had taught him that he shouldn't lower his pride for anyone who didn't deserve it.
"So what do you want?" he growled out.
"I just wanted to meet the bearer of my future grandchild that is all" and with that she spun around and walked away leaving InuYasha and Thalia alone once more. They finished eating and InuYasha retreated to his room and told Thalia to leave him alone for a while. Thalia obeyed but looked at her friend sadly. She felt sorry for him and wondered how things were going to turn out.
Hours Later
InuYasha sat alone on the bed as he held his rounding stomach. He was confused by his uncertain fate and what would happen once the pup was born. Would Sesshomaru make him carry another? or would he be tossed out? He hated his brother however there was a part of him that wanted to stay in order to watch over his pup. He didn't want the pup to grow up like his brother which was ironic since his brother probably had the same thoughts as he had. Perhaps they could come to an understanding for the pup's sake he thought to himself. He turned his head as the door opened to reveal Sesshomaru who glided into the room; closing the door behind him. InuYasha glared at his brother who seemed to be ignoring him as he began to undress. InuYasha shuddered at the thought of what was going to happen. Sesshomaru approached the bed and smirked as his mate scooted away; Sesshomaru lay down and secured his mate with his moko moko while he settled before wrapping his arms around his little brother. He ignored the growling his brother made and placed a hand on rounding bump that held his pup; his heir within his brother.
"Hands off" his brother's gruff voice demanded which only caused a smrik to appear on the demon lord's face.
"You've no say in my conduct towards you my mate, my beta. I am your Alpha and I will do as I please. Now I advise you to stop growling and just accept your fate" stated Sesshomaru. InuYasha continued to glare as he attempted to push his brother away from him however it only caused his brother to tighten his holde on the hanyou.
"I will not allow you to escape me little one. You belong to me and me alone. Now unless you want me to force your submission then I suggest you settle down" InuYasha stopped with the threat lingering in his mind however he found himself complying and as he drifted off Sesshomaru relaxed his grip slightly and for the first time since his abrupt arrival the two brothers slept peacefully together.
The months passed by quietly and things had settled between the two brothers well mostly but with the birth looming closer; Sesshomaru had restricted his movements even more which meant that InuYasha was practically bed ridden till after the pup was born. InuYasha groaned in sheer boredom as he decided to seek his brothers company for a while. He hated to admit it but there were times recently that Thalia's company wasn't enough. He made his way slowly to his destination.
Sesshomaru sighed as he sat alone with his throughts till the doors flew open and Lady InuKimi floated in.
"You know most would knock before entering" he muttered without looking at her.
"I'm not most people my son." Lady InuKimi stated.
"That you're not as you are still alive while most others would be dead for such disrespect" Sesshomaru said as he turned his attention to his mother.
"How is the pup?" she asked.
"Due any day now. My hanyou is getting restless and I don't blame him. Once this pup is born I can make him useful once more" A smile appeared on his narrow face at those words as his mind drifted as he imaged his hanyou beneath him once more.
"I thought you were going to chuck him out once the pup was born?" she asked.
"I was but I've changed my mind and besides he may as well remain here till his usefulness has ended"
"and if this pup proves to be strong then its not a total loss that the bearer is hanyou" Sesshomaru continued unaware that InuYasha had heard. Tears began to flow down his round cheeks. Although he wasn't under any delusion that his brother had any feelings of love towards him however things had improved between them and InuYasha had at least hoped his brother had a better opinion of him now and at least before he knew he would be able to return to his friends but now he didn't even have that. He was about to retreat to his room when he felt a pair of arms circle around his waist. He stiffened at the unwanted contact.
"What are you doing out of bed my hanyou?" Sesshomaru asked.
"I needed a walk" he replied simply.
"I see then I suppose you weren't eavesdropping then" InuYasha's ears flicked to lie against his head as Sesshomaru chuckled.
"It's not good to eavesdrop my young hanyou. Now lets gets you back to bed. My heir will not be born in some hallway" he stated coldly. InuYasha refused to budge.
"You lied to me you bastard. You said I could go back to my friends once the pup was born and now your not" he snarled. Sesshomaru growled louder as he roughly grabbed his hanyou and dragged him back to their room. He lifted the struggling hanyou on to the bed before straddling him.
"Now my hanyou, I told you that you belong to me as my beta. As your alpha I am allowed change my mind on what happens to you. I can make bear as many pups as I choose or till I tire of you or I could refuse you access to the pups that you bear. Do you understand?" InuYasha struggled beneath which sent shivers though Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru lowered his head, placing a kiss on his mating mark.
"I do hope that you finally understand who you belong to my little hanyou as I would hate to punish you further especially when you've been such a good obedient hanyou recently" his words were soft but there was no love in them and there never would be. He would be good but for the sake of the pup he carried and the pups he was carry in the future. His struggles ceased and Sesshomaru kissed him once more this time on his lips and that was it. InuYasha was expecting more however he felt his brother climb off him.
"I'll leave you to your rest. I'll see you later" and with that InuYasha was left alone.
Authors Note - sorry for the long wait but I lost some inspiration for this story but its coming back. Hope you enjoy this update
