Sesshoumaru was furious. It was an absolute no. Father would not be saddled with that bastard’s body. It was unthinkable!

“I thought you had a solution to this problem not another problem to add to what is going on! No! You will not do this!”

Sesshoumaru fumed. He was ready to lose control and behead the damn healer.

“But Sire, it is a perfect match!”

The healer begged.

“No! I will not hear it! You will find another solution! Hakimura’s body is not going to be my Father’s permanent body! For you to even suggest such a thing is sacrilege!”

Sesshoumaru fumed.

“But if we cannot find a body for your Father he will die. All I am asking Sire is that we keep it as an option until a suitable body is found.”

The healer said.

“And what did Inuyasha say about this travesty! I already know so you do not have to tell me! He agrees with me I know it! That body raped my little brother and who knows what else that bastard did in it! I will not have my Father suffer thus! You will find another body!”

Sesshoumaru roared.

“Sire as the healer I have to keep this body as an option. I cannot allow your Father to die if I can help it.”

The healer said finally since he now did not have a choice.

“And how do you think my Father will feel about this?!”

Sesshoumaru snarled getting in the healers face ready to tear apart the fool in front of him.

“He is in a coma Sesshoumaru. He cannot answer that question for himself.”

The healer said not wanting to tell Sesshoumaru the bad news, but his Father had fallen into a coma this afternoon.

“What does that mean?”

Sesshoumaru said angrily not understanding these medical terms.

“It means he is near death, he can no longer speak, he is at rest. He can hear you, but he cannot eat, he cannot drink, he is close to brain death. Once that happens he will die. His heart is beating slower and slower. The blood is not circulating properly and as I told you before at the end of this month he will be dead.”

The healer said and Sesshoumaru almost collapsed.

“What is Inuyasha doing to insure this does not happen?! If my little brother is goofing off again…..”

Sesshoumaru growled.

“Inuyasha is fighting demons daily! He does not eat or sleep! He merely collapses from his various wounds and he is taking a lot of damage! I have to heal him daily just to keep him alive! Do not even think about putting down your little brother! Your Uncles are also doing the same! Every person here is doing all they can to save that man! Do not think for one second that we are not trying!”

The healer roared. He would hurt this man himself if Sesshoumaru even thought one bad thing of his little brother. Inuyasha was fighting for his Father’s life and the healer knew Sesshoumaru would be doing the same if he wasn’t in this infernal prison.

Sesshoumaru hung his head down in shame.

“I am sorry. I did not realize…… I have been so focused on my pain I forgot myself and Inuyasha.”

Sesshoumaru said in defeat.

“I know you would be out there too helping him if you could, but you can’t! You lost that privilege and it serves you right if you ask me! That boy fights with his heart and soul! He lost everything and stands to lose just as much as you do! Do not think for one second I have not tried other options myself. I do not want your Father in Hakimura’s body, but I want that man to live and as a healer it is my duty to save lives if I can! If your Father dies it is not only you who will feel sorrow and loss! Your little brother needs you to be strong and you are wasting yourself! You are sick and I can see your will to live leaving you! What will that boy do if both of you die! Think about someone other than yourself for once!”

The healer shouted at Sesshoumaru who sat on his knees realizing how right the healer was. Inuyasha needed him to, not just his Father.

“There is also a young hanyou girl to consider. She loves you both and she is suffering too. I swear to you I will take you both to hell if you hurt her so grow the fuck up! Hakimura may have been your enemy, but he is dead! His body may be the only thing that saves the one thing you both love! I will keep working on that body and I will use it as the last resort, but damnit I will use it if I have to!”

The healer growled out. He would tell Inuyasha the same damn thing. The two men were so full of themselves sometimes it was like pulling teeth to get them to see reason.

“Now I am going to send down food for you and a lot of it! You will eat and you will sleep! You will make yourself well for your Father, for Inuyasha, and for Pearl! I will also give you some time off from your punishments until you are well again and for hell’s sake take a bath! You smell terrible!”

The healer snarled out as he left Sesshoumaru with his thoughts.

Sesshoumaru smelled himself and realized the healer was right. He smelled horrific and his hair was a matted mess. Father would have a fit if he was not perfect when he was well again.

Meanwhile Inuyasha was trying to match heads with bodies getting them all mixed up pissing off the demons he already killed. The twelve of them were going to kick his ass if he didn’t get it right and Inuyasha was good, but twelve diayoukis at once was a lot of demon power even if they were wounded.

Inuyasha did try pretty hard not to mess up the bodies, but it was a bit difficult to get to the head if he didn’t cause the bodies some damage. It was just a good thing arms reattached themselves and legs.

It took about three hours, but soon Inuyasha had everyone straightened out and made his apologies to them all warning them again not to fuck with hanyous. Three of the diayoukis were sitting down resting a bit before they left to go to their respective kingdoms. They actually talked to Inuyasha trying to find out more about him and his sword, but Inuyasha didn’t have time for that shit. He would see all these assholes again at the courts.

Inuyasha went to find the healer only to get an earful of what Sesshoumaru was told except reversed to mean him so he was forced to go eat, bathe, and rest. However instead of going to his own room he slept with the old man with Pearl on the other side of him. Inuyasha told his old man that he would get him a new body before he had to be put in Hakimura’s since that would happen over his dead body, but that he was still trying.

Father didn’t have much to say being in a coma and all, but Inuyasha still talked to him as though he were alive and kicking. Inuyasha also forced Pearl to eat since he found out she was also not eating and not really sleeping. He refused to have his female sick and if Dad did die then Inuyasha wanted him to know that he was still taking care of things like a good pup as Dad would say.

When Inuyasha woke up he kissed Pearl on the lips as she slept and took off again to go kill some more diayouki Lords in the North this time. He didn’t usually go into wolf territory, but Kouga was an idiot and left a whole bunch of area unprotected so Inuyasha figured if he couldn’t get a good body from the South, East, or West than he needed to try the North.

Inuyasha pretty much went on a slaughter fest and killed twenty Lords this time in Kouga’s territory. All were not hanyou haters either. One or two of them actually flirted with him which meant they had to die for personal reasons. Inuyasha was leaving Kouga for last since he was still kind of friends with Kouga and chopping off a friend’s head wasn’t the best way to stay friends with someone. Still Inuyasha had made quite the reputation for himself and there were some Lords in hiding since they actually started to fear Inuyasha.

Bringing the bodies to the castle wasn’t an easy task either. Inuyasha though hauled that cart the whole way only complaining when he hit a rock or two in the road and a body would go flying out of his cart.

Kouga soon found out about Inuyasha’s rampage in his territory and went to go beat up the mutt. No one killed his wolf brothers without consequences.

Just as Inuyasha was getting close to the castle gates a dust devil approached him from behind knocking him flat since he wasn’t prepared for Kouga to show up yet.

“Just what the fuck are you doing mutt face?! Killing my wolves! We have a treaty you and I so is this war again?!”

Kouga growled.

“This ain’t your business wolf turd. Go back to your smelly den. I ain’t got time for you.”

Inuyasha said rolling his eyes at the wolf.

“It is my business since you got a cartful of my brothers!”

Kouga raged on.

“Well if you ask me they weren’t worth the fight, but I gotta have a body and you’ll get almost all of them back so stop your bitching and moaning. I only need one that matches.”

Inuyasha said in frustration. For diayoukis these were like the loser end of the stack, but it was still a better option than Hakimura’s body.

“You will reattach their heads now mutt face unless you want a fight!”

Kouga snarled.

“Fine I’ll fight ya then, but my Dad is going to get a new body so unless you want to be added to this pile I suggest you get the fuck out of the way.”

Inuyasha said losing patience with his friend.

“You ain’t goin’ nowhere with those bodies! Give it up ya flea bitten moron before I really hurt ya!”

Kouga growled.

“My Dad is dying you asshole so I am going to save his ass even if you don’t like it so fuck off!”

Inuyasha snarled.

“You ain’t savin’ him with my wolves!”

Kouga snarled as the two rounded each other.

“I won’t go easy on you this time Kouga! I consider you a friend so back down or you will lose your head this time!”

Inuyasha growled.

The two men faced off and Kouga wasn’t leaving without his wolves. They both knew this was it. This would test their friendship, but to Inuyasha family meant more. If the wolf did not move he was going to lose his head.

They both sized each other up.

“If you want a fight do it without your sword or are you too chicken?”

Kouga taunted.

“Oh I am going to fight you without my sword Kouga. However this sword will take your head when I am done with you.”

Inuyasha warned.

Throwing tessaiga to the side Inuyasha watched Kouga. The wolf was fast even without the jewel shards in his legs, but Inuyasha was faster and had much more practice at fighting powerful fast beings especially lately.

Kouga completely underestimated Inuyasha as the two battled. Inuyasha pounded Kouga into the ground over and over again. Kouga was in shock since he didn’t understand how Inuyasha got so fast all of a sudden.

Flipping over Kouga Inuyasha slammed him with a round house kick and grasped that long top knot of hair yanking Kouga’s head back as claws aimed at his throat to achieve the final kill. Kouga had no choice but to surrender. He whimpered, but it was too late. Inuyasha made his decision and used his claws like his brother did as the daggers went through the wolf’s throat then out the other side.

“I warned you Kouga. Now I have another body to add to the pile.”

Inuyasha said as Kouga fell forward with blood gushing out his throat. He was dying and by one of his very best friend’s hands. It was the ultimate betrayal.

Inuyasha picked up his sword and went to do the final cut when a powerful clawed hand gripped his wrist.

“I did not give you tessaiga boy to kill your friends.”

The voice said and Inuyasha about dropped in shock. His Father stood before him very much alive in someone’s body with jet black hair pulled up in a top knot.

Tears formed in Inuyasha’s eyes and he hugged his Father until he noticed something underneath the kimono. A familiar tattoo and he jumped back as if burned.

“Son, this body is only temporary. We shall see if one of these will work for me.”

Father said as he lifted the unconscious wolf over one shoulder and Inuyasha pulled the cart of bodies up the hill towards the castle.
