Naraku was resting his back on a wall, on one corner of his vast, dark room. His blood red eyes were fixated on nothing, without blinking, his fingers were stretching and constricting as he was testing their functionality. Silence has been consuming that bedchamber and his very self, his pale semblance remained expressionless as it was carved in cold marble.
After a slow and morbid sigh, the hanyo rose up and left his accomodations in calm steps, just to visit another place, another person's room. He stopped at the ajar door and focused his indifferent sight on a golden object left in the middle of the chamber, as to remind him of someone who once slept in there. The black eyelashes slowly entwined, then they separated and the scarlet globes stood opaque, glaring at the harp shinning in the darkness.
I will kill Kikyo first, then I shall decide what to do about you, Annabelle Rose. He thought, while closing the door, walking away from that memory.
"Master..." a childish voice called him from the corridor. Naraku gazed at it's owner with one red eye over his own shoulder. The kid was respectfully kneeling. "I'm just waiting for your orders".
"There is no need to rush" The first trace of expression formed in his lips, curving into a wicked grin "Kohaku".

The eburnum lumen was emerging from Annabelle's contours and spreading around the forest while she stood walking the path which would lead her to what might be a new Naraku's incarnation. As much as her reason kept warning her to stay away, the lass couldn't help but to follow the trail.
After going down a ravine, at last she noticed a peculiar man marching in her direction. Her clear aura faded a bit. He seemed to be quite an ordinary man, his clothes even looked funny, not matching his muscular shapes. The stranger was wearing a checkered cloth tied above one of his shoulders as a dress, over his head there was a chip hat, the wooden sandals definitely didn't fit his feet.
He must have stollen everything. Anna thought, studying the guy from afar.
"Hey!" The man ceased his steps and gazed at the creature ahead him with his curious green eyes, trying to see what was hidden underneath the white cape "You're so shinny! What do you have in this bag?" He smirked, ambition designed in his every features while the man stared at the volume Annabelle was carrying on her back.
"Nothing special, just my clothes" she answered calmly.
He hummed, then sighed when realizing the gender of the person who was in front of him. "Damn, they won't fit me..." The guy scratched his chin. "I could sell them though!" Then his dark green eyes shone and, enthusiastic with such idea, the stranger came closer fearlessly. "Hey, woman, let me see your face. Could it be as beautiful as your voice?" and he chuckled briefly, his gaze notoriously darkened with lust.
He did steal the clothes. Anna concluded while rolling her eyes, not a bit intimidated with his manners. "I am looking for a faceless man who killed a monk, do you know something about it?" She suspected of him, yet the man before her had two eyes, a nose and a mouth, so his visage didn't match the description the lass has heard from a frightened crying boy a while ago.
"He had a pretty face, it served me well" the man touched his cheeks while showing his gleaming white teeth in a proud smile.
"Who are you?" Anna asked, keeping distant while it was still possible. As he was walking towards her, the lass stepped back.
"All this talking is already annoying me. Come on, show your face!" and the thief gave larger steps, fastening his walking into her encounter. Annabelle then granted his wish and put down the cape. When Muso saw the flaming orange curls waving, and the celestial blue eyes twinkling, he froze in place and murmured: "a youkai?!"
"No..." Belle touched her forehead and took a deep breath, trying to remain patient. It was tiring to hear the same damn question everytime.
"How?" He insisted, his eyes were widened "Just look at you, no one has this color of hair, nor eyes as this clear... You're so beautiful!" Shameless, the man got even more close, staring at her from head to toes like he could see what was hidden under her clothes. Those pine green globes sparkled admiration and desire so clearly that embarrassed her. "You are the most stunning creature I've ever seen..." Muso murmured, his barbarian hands ready to cup her pinkish cheeks.
Those turquoises of her widened. That compliment, Annabelle knew she had heard it before, the astonishment didn't let her make a move.
"I have never seen nor shall see anything similar to you again..." Even the bandit looked bewildered with his behavior, like the words were simply dropping from his lips before he could think of them.
There were all things already said to her, by someone else – Naraku. First, when he pretended to be Kagewaki and took Annabelle's innocence for him, and last, his sad speech before inserting the jewel shard into her chest. His identical words.
"Who are you?!" She shouted and moved away again, almost jumping aside while dodging from the bandit, attentively looking to their surroundings, preparing to run and hide in the woods.
"I feel like I know you" the stranger proceeded, stunned, ignoring her inquiry. "From where do I know you, woman?" It didn't matter how many times she would try to keep the distance, Muso would insist on enclose, cornering his prey.
"I've never seen you before!" she was almost chocking because of nervousness. Although he looked like an ordinary man, something about him brought chills to Annabelle's spine. Her feet was moving away by instinct, in little jumps then.
"This light surrounding you..." The thief said while the white gleam was reflecting inside his eyes "I want it, I want you!" and his firm hands grabbed her shoulders.
"Let me go!" She pushed him and began to run between the trees, into the forest. Anna could have used her power, she could have even tried to purify that creature, however, an internal force was impeding her to fly or to wound him, possibly curiosity, it should be so.
The stranger followed the lass, he was fast enough to manage to hold her wrist, turning Belle to face him again.
"You're mine, I know you're mine!" He vociferated, pulling her body against his abruptly, the bag fell from her back.
"You're mad, let go of me!" Once more she couldn't release her energy, for when her front was pressed against his chest, the lass felt his whole rigid torso pulsing, as if that body part was an agitated vital organ. Before Annabelle could ask him about such phenomenon though, the mysterious man sealed her mouth with his own, and invaded it's inside with his exasperated tongue. "Hmmm!" the ginger foreigner grumbled and slapped his muscular chest, then two strong arms evolved her, tying Belle into his wild embrace. He was gasping and grunting inside that kiss, looking more and more desperate because she wasn't kissing him back.
That touch, even the kiss, just as the words he said before... everything was so familiar! The shard underneath her skin vibrated, Anna knew pretty well the meaning of that reaction as she understood why her strength to scape was none. Her lust was awake again, and suddenly she felt like who was taking her so passionately was another, a certain hanyo so intense as that stranger. A moan of hers was muffled by the clasping of their mouths. At such point, Anna's back was resting against a tree trunk, where Muso has cornered her.
While tasting her tongue and lips, he felt something wet pour down between their faces, only then the thief broke the kiss and gazed at her. Gasping, Annabelle was crying, defeated by her memories, by the Shikon's shard and by her own yearnings.
"Please, leave me alone..." she weakly whispered, not only for him, but for her own feelings which were haunting her.
"No, stop crying" Muso held her face and clumsily tried to wipe the tears with his thumbs, it was useless though. The more he rubbed his fingers over her cheeks and on the corner of her eyes, more drops fell as she sobbed. "I said stop crying!" the man yelled, not because he was angry, his features denounced to be deeply worried and desperate, yet the deep and harsh tune of his voice just made the lass body constrict and her cry intensified. So, he held her tight, sinking his face into the ginger locks, squeezing his nose against her neck.
What is happening? She wandered, without being able to control her emotions, nor her body's movements. Anna was in shock. I must move, I must get out of here! Her fingers retorted grabbing the cloth covering the man's chest, her heart fastened even more while she felt caresses over her back, underneath the white cape, then fingers gently stroked her hair. Was he trying to solace her? This is madness! Finally the woman recovered her breath and some strength to push him away. Her palms gleamed white, touched Muso's abdomen and he fell behind. The thief was far too distracted to foresee the lass' reaction, sitting upon the grass he gazed at her with his surprised, trembling eyes.
Annabelle began to walk away, and the man, instead of rising just dragged himself to her and grabbed her skirt, kneeling in front of her.
"No, don't leave!" that stranger, who looked so self-confident and strong in the beginning, begged. "You are my light!" He held her legs and sunk his face in that long skirt, Annabelle felt like the air was scaping from her lungs. "Please, don't cry anymore!" He asked. "I can't stand to see you so sad, it hurts infernally! What must I do to see you smiling?" A sob scaped from his mouth, Anna felt her dress getting wet above her belly. He was crying.
"Release me!" She demanded tremulous, confused by his behavior. Her fingers were pressing his shoulders in an attempt to push him again, yet the bandit was stubborn and remained holding her, his hands squeezed her waist so hard that she felt suffocated, her legs shook within that embrace.
"I never felt this before for any woman!" He madly confessed "I want to possess you, but that's not all. Your body isn't enough, I need to have your heart!" His chin rested upon the ribbons of her dress while he gazed deeply into her eyes. "But I don't want to conquer your heart by force! No, no! I want you..." He breathed in the middle of the sentence, not knowing how to express that storm of sensations. Words were crossing through him like they have been so long cloistered inside. "I want you to be happy," he elucidated, apparently a bit calm. "It's like your smile give sense to my life..." His fingers loosened the grip on her waist and went down her blue velvet skirt, smoothing the fabric. "It's so strange..." Muso's eyes closed, and then the man frowned, his head was aching, the weep ceased.
Her arms went close to her sides, inanimate as first, then her hands softly rested upon his head.
"Who are you?" she asked in unexpected serenity, her voice sounded soft while her eyes were focusing in the sky, the light of day trembling into them. Her albescent aura grew and covered them both, making the man's body relax a little bit.
"I don't know..." He confessed in a low voice, his half-opened eyes gazing the ground. "I don't remember" the purifying energy was calming him down, even making him feel asleep.
"Don't you remember anything?" Anna persisted, slowly blinking her eyes, her breath finally retrieved.
"You" Muso lifted his face and stared at her again. Passion and devotion were overflowing from his gaze. "What I feel for you didn't start now, when I looked into your eyes I was certain I already knew you. I can't explain what is this feeling, it's like my chest is being crushed" his speech was moving her even more. "I want... I want to protect you, to keep you safe... even if it means I'll have to stay away".
But I don't even know you... she hadn't the courage to say though, for in that instant the man who murdered a monk to steal his face looked as innocent as a child. Could my gift help him remember who he really is? Anna knelt before Muso and touched his shoulders, he shivered. No, I don't have such power... she sighed feeling frustrated, then all of sudden the jewel shard inside her pulsed and a dangerous idea crossed her mind. Although the lass didn't have the ability of recovering lost memories, Shikon no Tama had. So, Annabelle delicately embraced the stranger. Her hands slid upon his back, and since his improvised clothes didn't cover his entire back, the foreigner's fingers rubbed against a familiar texture, a burn, while touching it's extent she noticed it was like a slender leg... a spider leg. The air seemed to froze into her airways and her eyes resumed to meet his clouded ones. A Naraku's incarnation with memories about her? All signs of fear faded away and she decided to put that plan to work. Cupping his mesmerized face in her hands, the ginger lass concentrated, evolving themselves within the sublime fairies' luminescence in consonance with the precious shard power, she asked again:
"Who are you?"
"Onigumo..." his voice sounded low, arms were inertial with hands resting on the earth.
Annabelle subtly dropped him, and the man fell unconscious over the soft ground. Tormented, she stood up as fast it was possible, caught her bag on the grass and finally her body shone white and flew like it should have done moments ago, with Muso's first approaching.
Onigumo?! Already far away, on the opposite part of the forest, Anna covered her mouth with both hands while sitting over a large tree root. When she heard the name which was linked to Naraku's humanity, the fear of suffering, of shattering into pieces once again made her appeal to escape. I don't want to know the meaning of that! The lass convinced herself, shaking her head. I don't want to know anything about him! She was thinking of Naraku, after all, Annabelle said herself to the hanyo that his chance of being a part of her life has been wasted. Her semblance grew paler, she frowned, in a mix of rage and pride.
Some miles from there, after a few minutes, Muso woke up feeling misguided and he sat, rubbing his eyes.
"What a strange dream..." He yawned and stretched his arms.
To be continued...
