6. Nurse Dog Boy�

Sango saw in the corner of her eye how Inuyasha made his way
towards her.

-

What took
you guys so long? she asked with a mocking voice, but the relief of seeing her
friends took the edge of her remark.

-

Well,
someone had to clean up your little mess that you left behind koibito, said
Inuyasha and punched two soldiers with one smack.

-

O really, I
make a mess?

-

And you
forgot this, said the hanyou and handed over the dark flower. It was as fresh as
when he had plucked it during the night.

Sango took the flower and as she swung her boomerang with one
hand she put the flower behind her ear with the other one. Inuyasha felt a warm
wave inside his chest and clubbed his next attacker with a light touch. She was
safe and she was unharmed. He sniffed the air and he growled softly when he
caught the scent of her fertile peak. �Tonight my
little Sango, tonight I will take you as my mate.�

But as the saying goes, never take out your victory before the
battle is done. As the two fighters worked their way to the lord, they failed to
see him arm himself with a crossbow. And before anyone could do anything or even
say anything, Sango had an arrow buried in her right thigh.

�Fuck, I missed her. If she only could be still for a few more
seconds I will make sure that no one takes her away from me again��thought
the lord but he never got as far too even grab a new arrow. He was torn to
pieces by a raging Inuyasha.

As soon as the lord was gone his soldiers scattered, leaving the
battlefield. Inuyasha rushed back to Sango and saw with fear how she fought
against the pain in her leg.

Sango,
koibito, look at me, he whispered and she did as she was told.

He moved her to sit up, his left arm around her back. And then he
kissed her with a heated passion. When he felt her place her arms around his
neck he took hold of the arrow and pulled it out with one swift motion. She
tried to break the kiss to scream but he only held her tighter. He threw the
cursed thing far away and broke the kiss. Her tear stained face made his heart
bleed.

KAGOME!!!

-

Right behind
you Inuyasha and I have what you want too, said Kagome and handed over some
bandages to the hanyou.

-

Miroku,
Shippou and I will take Kirara down the mountain. I suggest you find a spring
with clean water, said Kagome and Inuyasha nodded. Good, we�ll see you when the
time is right.

Her voice was filled with sadness, but at the same time, she
could not agree more to his choice. If her instincts were right, his demonic
blood had chosen a strong mate, strong enough to fight and strong enough to bare
strong offspring. And she was not that strong.

He nodded again and saw his friend take off on the fire cat. He
did a makeshift bandage and lifted up Sango into his arms. He sniffed the air
for a clear water source and he found one, deeper into the mountain. He followed
his nose and jumped towards the water. It did not take him to long to find it.
He carefully sat down and lay Sango next to the little mountain stream. He
nuzzled her neck a bit, taking in her scent. She was lucky; he could not smell
any infection from the wound yet. He ripped up her slayer suit so he could
attend to her wound more properly. She had dozed off, but she was not
unconscious. He cut the makeshift bandage and scooped up some water and let it
pour over her leg. The blood washed off, but Inuyasha knew he had to make it
close somehow. He began lapping the ugly wound, his saliva contended healing
powers, and perhaps they would do the trick for her? At least it would stop any
kind of infection he figured. After awhile the blood seemed to be stemmed and he
bandaged it again. A small shiver went through her body and he guessed the blood
loss had her frozen. So he pulled his outer robe off and wrapped it around her.
He than washed her face a bit, she had gotten a bit stained form the fight.

Inuyasha looked around and found a spot under a small crooked
pine tree and settled down under it. He had Sango in a tight embrace, making
sure she was not cold. He sniffed her skin, making sure again that she was not
ill, or had any kind of fever. He smiled when he saw the dark flower and settled
it better behind her ear and kissed her cheek.

Inuyasha�
her small whispered immediately got his attention.

Yes koishii?

-

What
happened?

-

The idiot
king tried to kill you�

-

W-what?

-

He shot you
with a crossbow, but fortunately you moved around so the arrow hit your leg
instead of your stomach or chest. Gods Sango, never scare me like that again,
Inuyasha said and let out a relieved breathe.

I am sorry�

Inuyasha kissed her, giving her all his passion and love that had
build up during the years they had known each other. This time she got to
respond, even if it was for a very short moment. He pulled back and rubbed his
nose gently against hers.

Why are you
acting like this Inuyasha?

-

I should
have told you two years ago when I first noticed this change inside my blood.

-

W-what?

-

My demon
blood sees you as a very strong female, Inuyasha began with a soft voice. A
potential mate, a female to bare me strong pups.

�??

But I
refused to give in to my instincts; I did not want to produce any pups before
Naraku was destroyed. But when we managed to get rid of that asshole two months
ago, my blood began to stir again and now I have given in..

Y-you want
me to be your m-mate?? she whispered shakily.

Yes, his
answer was stated with a firm voice.

B-but what
about Kagome-chan, I always thought you .. and her�

No never,
perhaps in the beginning, but after you joined our group, well, you were always
the one for me Sango.

But you
don�t want me?

Sango felt tears well up in her eyes and she took a hold of his
dragon tails and pulled his face to hers, locking her lips onto his, pouring her
answer into that kiss.

I hope that
is answer enough for you Inuyasha, she whispered and buried her face into the
crook of his neck.

mate! he purred and felt her drift of to sleep again.

His tongue flicked over her exposed neck and he tasted her,
feeling his blood stir around in his veins, craving to mark her as his mate.
Even though her fertile scent now was making him flip his lid over and over
again, she was injured and she would need time to heal. �Down boy, down.�
He growled softly and rested his chin on her shoulder.
