"This is my life... it's not what it was before... these are my dreams... that I've never lived before..." Kikyou sighed, slowly repeating the words to the song playing in her radio. The sound radiated through the room, and perking the senses of Kikyous inner most memories. It touched a sorrowed black spot in her heart, and deep feelings of regret and grief washed over her. She was drowning in her own thoughs, but there was no one there to save her.
She sat slumped against the wall, she was alone in her room because there was no room-mate to keep her company. The headmaster for the Rehab Centre said that it might be better if Kikyou were not influenced and reminded of THOSE times. But Kikyou now regretted, and despised herself for everything. She couldn't cry, since she had already used alot of her tears the previous day.
She had thought that if she was with Inuyasha, that she might pass her addiction to him. Being the one to cause peer pressure, Kikyou tired to avoid him for the past two days. She hadn't seen him since the day they had met. And she, though depressed at the moment, had been very glad to meet him. And she had realized somewhere along the way that, she loved him.
She was too afraid to have him, too afraid to hurt him, too afraid to lose him forever. It had been nearly a week in the Tokyo Rehab and Kikyou was deffinatly craving. She never mentioned to anyone in the hallways that she needed Oxycontin. They would have just said that they were in need of something as well. And the administartors would just tell her that it would be a tough road to reverse. And so far, it had been pure hell.
"Why does it all have to be this way? Why does this happen?" she questioned to the empty room, filled only by her sorrow, and stray furniture. "Somebody wake me up from this nightmere!" she screamed out to the white washed ceiling. Holding her hands above her head to curse to the gods. Crying out to the heavans, demanding that she be released from this addiction.
Then there was a strange feeling to the room, it felt light, like she could jump into the air and not come down. It was like the gravity just reversed itself. Kikyou felt light headed, and fell to the floor hitting her head hard on the gray tiles. Small streams of blood ran down her face, and her eyes closed.

"Where had Shiganori been?" asked Miroku to Inuyasha just outside Kikyous door, "Haven't seen her in two days, I hope she's okay." he sighed, knocking hard on her door. "Kikyou, you okay?" he asked, and the sound was only a colorful blur to Kikyous dizzy senses. Muffled behind the door she breathed lightly, managing to roll into her back.
"Kikyou, I'm coming in." warned Miroku, giving a look at Inuyasha, who nodded for him to go on. Miroku slowly turlned the knob and looked around, he didn't see Kikyou. Inuyasha yelled and knelt on the floor, and it was then Miroku noticed that Kikyou wasn't okay.
He rushed out of the room and down the halls, stopping at the emergency room doors. He banged hard on the metal wall between him and help. The man in charge came rushing out, and put a hand on Miroku's shoulder. "What's wrong boy?" he asked, being and older man. Miroku took his arm and ran back to where Kikyou lay.

Inuyasha cradled Kikyou in his arms and a look of passionate worry spread across his face. His breathing was ragged while his tears pooled in his eyes. He didn't try to hide them, in fear that Kikyou would be gone, before he could have even seen her. He carried her quickly to the emergancy room, the doctor and Miroku following behind. A crowd of patients gathered behind them while they walked, and the murmer of their voices could be heard echoing through the empty halls.
"Te... Teshima..." she whispered, opening her eyes slightly to look at him. "Ki... Kikyou... hang on please..." he said, managing to fit in his sentance before the doctors and nurses took her into a secluded room. He fell against the wall and shrunk down to the floor, splaying out his limbs on the floor. "What's happening? Oh kami, what's happening." he asked, looking up and out of the small skylight in the ceiling.

Kikyou slept soundly, while the nurses all clouded around her, checking monitors and running tests, taking her temperature and vital signs. This sort of thing did happen quite often here in Rehab. When they get new patients, there is always a high depression rate, and even higher risks of attempted suicide. But none of the doctors could figure out exactly what had happened. They only knew that it wasn't suicide.
Kikyou began to dream, she was spinning in a pool of colors that drove her senses wild. The way all the different hues were contrasting, made her head spin. Through the colors she could find images, and they were coming closer. The picture was now life size, and she could tell that it was Teshima Inuyasha. She reached out to him, and found that her hand went through him, it was a ghost of an image, and it made Kikyou want to cry.
What was this? Screaming, crying, and not being able to find out what it meant. All dreams have a meaning, but what was this? Did it mean she couldn't have him? Does it mean that he would leave her? She called out his name, calling, calling, calling. "Teshima! Wait! Inuyasha I love you!" she cried, and while he grew closer, he touched her. His hand on her cheek and she could feel it, it was real. The color had stopped moving now, and she was standing in the courtyard gardens.
She smiled through a tear and looked up at him, returning the feeling, and placing her hand on his cheek. He smiled and hugged her tightly, then drawing back to kiss her, and she could feel it. It was real. But as she started to belive it was real, the less it seemed so. The color returned, and as he faded away he said this, "Don't leave me... please... wake up..." it echoed loudly in her head, so much that it began to hurt. "Inuyasha!" she cried. "Please wake up... don't go..." it rang in her mind, permamantly etching it into her heart. And she fought it, and could feel her heart breaking, she clutched her chest and cried, and then... silence.

Inuyasha watched her, leaning over her sleeping cold body. He held her hand to his cheek, and kissed it, crying out her name to come back. "Don't leave me... please... wake up..." he called again, and watched as her eyes began to open. He stopped, and widened his eyes, watching her come back to life. He embraced her immediatley, and two of the doctors came over, seeing that their patient had awoken.
"Kikyou... you're okay..." he smiled, looking into her deep brown eyes, clouded with tears. "I'm so sorry Inuyasha... I'm sorry I made you worry." she whispered, reaching up to him for another embrace, managing to hug him tightly, and didn't let go. She was unable to, because she was finally with him again.
