A/N- The next one to go down was Kagura. Which it hurt me to do, but it had to be done. She's my favorite female character on Inuyasha, and so I wanted to give her a good, bittersweet death.
Warnings: Kagura's language when she's upset...**Sweatdrop**

"DAMN him!!"
High in the air on her feather, she flew far, far away. It was almost as if she was hoping she could outrun her fate. Naraku was dead. She herself had helped out with that. She had hoped that with Naraku gone, she'd get her heart back.
That hadn't happened.
Naraku, that fucking bastard, had taken it with him into the void of the monk's cursed hand. And now Miroku was dead too. There was no way to get her heart back. She could already feel herself dying. Her head was becoming fuzzy, her chest felt congested. Her extremities throbbed. She was flying to find a safe place to die.
A sharp stab of pain lanced through her chest and she clutched at her heart. "Gods...damn him." The feather wobbled, and she clung tightly to it. "Keep...going..." The forest was beneath her, no doubt filled with youkai who would love to make a meal off of her before she finally died. Black spots begin to swim in front of her eyes. "No...not...yet..." That Naraku! He had always threatened...she had always thought that when he died...she'd be free! Now, the ultimate irony. The death of her hated maker was dragging her along! Tears pricked behind her eyes as her vision blanked again, and the feather wobbled. Her fingers dug into the thick strands, holding herself on.
"What's the fucking point??" She cried to no one. "I'm about to fucking die anyway...why not fall?" She gritted her teeth as a stream of dark and angry curses left her mouth. Unfair! This shouldn't have happened! She was the wind! All she had ever wanted was to be free to blow her own way! Now, it seemed that freedom was going to be bought at the ultimate cost. Pain lanced through her again, and her body began to feel very light, even as her head started to feel very, very heavy. Her eyes closed, and she slipped again, falling off the feather. She was too far gone to care.
The wind whipped past her body with a cooling touch and a comforting whistle. Kagura smiled, her body stretching out against the comforting cushion of air. Yes. This was the freedom she had always craved. Her body began to become lighter and lighter, the pain fading as her spirit soared with newfound happiness. Her ruby eyes slitted open, and a breathless gasp exited her fading lips as she registered that her body was almost no longer there. In fact, even as she watched, her legs disappeared, melding with the wind around her, becoming one with it. A tear that could have been water vapor rolled down her cheek as she disappeared completely. A happy tear.
She was free.

I hope that was a good enough homage....Review, eh??
