Sango
came in moments later.

�Kagome supper.�
Sango whispered into the room, in hopes that Kagome heard her. Upon noticing
her gaze, she realized that Kagome.

�Kagome.� Sango
rushed to her side worried.� �What�s the
matter?�

�Inuyasha
is killing me inside out, mind, and all.� Kagome choked through her tears.

�Oh
Kagome come on get up...� Sango said �You know I'm here for you if you need to
talk� what is it that is bothering you so much, Kagome?�� Helping her up, Sango stared into her
distressed friend�s face.� The pain that
crossed her expression was so vacant, so heart wrenching she
almost didn�t want to look.� The coldness
in Kagome�s voice, however, sent a chill up Sango�s spine.�

�Inuyasha��
Her eyes met Sango�s with a pathetic gape; grabbing Kagome by the shoulders she
spoke softly.�

�Kagome�
I want you to repeat after me... can you do that?�� Vigorously, Kagome shook her head and tightly
closed her eyes.� Sango reached out and
held her hands, Kagome responded by a light squeeze
and took in a deep breath before opening her eyes to look upon Sango.� �I will erase Inuyasha I will forget his
face. His name and all. Not even the memory will
remain.� Sango waited and watched nervously and unconvinced even herself, as
Kagome repeated the hollow phrases.

�I will
erase Inuyasha I will forget his face. His name and all.
Not even the memory will remain.� Kagome voiced in a broken tone; a moment of
silence passed soon after before she couldn�t stay strong anymore... breaking
into tears, she tried to utter her conflictions to Sango.� �Sango, that�s so impossible� I� I still�
love him.� Kagome said in between sobs.

�Oh,
Kagome you poor thing� Kami, smile for once Kagome� you deserve to.� Sango lifted
Kagome�s chin and attempted to force a false smile upon her own lips, as if a
motivator.� Kagome only gave her a frown
and a river of tears.

�Kami, he
haunts me in my dreams. She does too� Sango, they both still haunt me.�

Hugging
her friend close, Sango managed to whisper some words of encouragement, given
the situation.� Finally, she accomplished
to get a smile to creep across Kagome�s cracking lips.� Upon deciding they both needed the fresh air,
Sango and Kagome both walked out into the warmth of the midday sun.

�Kagome
look what I made.� Shippo cried out excitedly, running up to the uneasy Miko.
Kagome looked at him blankly as she noticed what he held in the bowl in his
hand.

�Ramen� the spicy one.� Shippo said, proudly eating the ramen.

Inuyasha. �You loved ramen. �Inuyasha your torture repeats once more. Kagome thought.

�Inuyasha.�
Kagome said in barely a whisper before breaking into tears and running back to
the hut.

�Oh
Shippo....just� just stay here okay?� Eat
your ramen.� Sango said turning to go after her troubled friend.

�What
did I do?� Shippo questioned innocently to Miroku, who sat quietly beside the
young kitsune.

�Shippo�
if I remember correctly, Inuyasha loved ramen. �It brought Kagome a memory that she was trying
hard to repress� she wanted to forget� but you prevented that by letting her
heart recall it�s feelings with the memory.� Miroku replied.

�Oh�
but I didn�t remember � I'm sorry.� Shippo said to Miroku.

�Umm �
Shippo she just needs some time � be patient.�
All will be as it should be in the end� if you want however, you could
try voicing an apology.� Miroku finished, throwing Shippo a knowing glare.

Shippo
goes toward the hut, entering only to find Kagome crying.

�Kagome�
I�m sorry I forgot. I didn�t mean to...� Shippo started, standing beside the
Taijiya sadly.

�Both
of you go away leave me alone.� Kagome bellowed.

�Kagome
let us stay.� Sango said.

�Please
get out. Leave me alone� let me just fade with the everlasting pain.� Kagome
said stoically.

�Kagome...please��
Shippo replied.

�Go
away. �Just go away.� Kagome chanted,
practically howling.

Sango
and Shippo left Kagome to herself, and she started yet another plea to her lost
and desolate love; she made no attempt to make it a silent prayer.

�GET
OUT OF MY HEAD INUYASHA. �I'm tired of
looking at the stars and thinking of you� all I see you and I cuddled together,
but when I look back down and you�re gone; it just hurts so much. In my dreams
you only bring tears...� Kagome said softly pulling her pocket knife once more.

She
began to reopen one of her wounds; the blood slowly dripping carelessly down
irritated flesh. �Kagome watched as it
flowed from her life force, drop by drop the tainted blood spilled.

Oh Inuyasha� how is it that despite the wounds you
inflict in my heart, you are still the only one I need beside me to mend the
pain? Kagome thought, lifting her eyes
numbly to the ceiling above her.� Falling
to her knees as her thoughts raced, Kagome deepened the slash upon her tortured
flesh� this time; the score was a bit deeper than intended.

�Inu�Inuyasha...�
Kagome whispered softly before fainting to the cold hard floor below.
