On the otherside of the Well
A/N: Thank you kookookitty for the review! I’m glad you are enjoying the story. The other site I was on my stories didn’t get many reviews, but hey that’s the way it goes. As for maryjanes, I think Ash has some of those. LOL. I think Ash is someone anyone can identify with, she is the crazy side you always want to release without anyone thinking you are crazy. As for what is going on with Kagome here is a small view. She won’t show up again for a few more chapters though. Enjoy!

Kagome landed on the ground of the well, still clinging to Shippo. Looking above to see a roof she knew she was back in her own time. Climbing out of the well with Shippo, she ready to jump back in when the ground started shaking. Her and Shippo fell to the ground while the well close upon itself. It was gone, the only link to the other side and InuYasha was gone.
“Kagome?” Shippo squeaked as he shook uncontrollably, his senses over-whelmed by his new surroundings.
“Shh, it’s okay Shippo,” Kagome whispered as she tried to comfort the kit in her arms. “We’ll figure out a way back. I promise.”
Kagome didn’t have time to think of a way to repair the well as the well house door was thrust open. A small gasp came from Kagome’s mouth as she stared at the Inu-Youkai before her. The light purple Kimono swished in the wind from the open door as she walked down the stairs towards Kagome.
“Who are you?” Kagome asked as she clutched Shippo to her.
“My name is Taijina,” she replied as she stopped in front of Kagome. “We last saw each other at this very spot five hundred years ago. Come I will explain the rest later, before the others come.”
“Others? Wait! You were at the fight?” Kagome started to barrage Taijina with questions, just as InuYasha warned her she would. “I know your name, but who are you really? Why where you at the fight? What is going on? Why was the well destroyed? Why…”
“ENOUGH,” Taijina roared. “You are worst then a pup. Just trust me and come.”
“But…” Kagome started as she stepped back from her, planning to make a dash for the stairs.
“I’m a part of InuYasha’s pack if that makes you feel better,” Taijina replied, as she sniffed the air. Their scout was coming, which meant she had alerted the others and she was getting nervous they would leave before they came. “He would have been here himself, except he and Sesshomaru are being distractions right now. Come you are in danger, they are coming.”
“InuYasha and Sesshomaru would never fight together,” Shippo stated from Kagome’s arms.
“Five hundred years have passed kit,” Taijina informed him as she turned towards the open door. “Time to heal past wounds have come. Show yourself wench!”
“So I finally get to meet the great Inu-Youkai who has betrayed us,” the demoness hissed as she stepped from the shadows. “The girl and the Shikon are ours! I will take great pleasure in bathing in your blood.”
“Blood thirsty kitty aren’t you,” Taijina sneered, as she flexed her claws at her side. “Flee while you can cub. I’m older and stronger then you can ever hope to be.”
“Not bloody likely!” the demoness hissed as she stalked the doorway, her black hair blowing in the wind. The demoness was in a black ninja outfit, singling her as a lower class soldier. Obviously she was ordered not to attack, but to hold them here till they came.
“Here kitty, kitty, kitty,” Taijina called out as she leapt in front of the demoness and striking her back with one claw. Stumbling back the demoness fell on her butt. “As I thought, just a cub. I shall spear your life this time, but be wise never to cross me again.”
“As if!” she shrieked as she went for Taijina, but found herself suspended in mid air. “Hey! What give?”
“We are falling behind schedule!” Ash said, as she walked towards Taijina, her right hand out. With a flick of her wrist, the demoness went flying. “Just grab the girl and let’s go!”
“She is a Miko,” Taijina sighed as she stared down at the girl in jeans and a pink t-shirt. “She can hurt me with her powers, hence me talking her into leaving with us. Understand?”
“Yo, girl with the kit,” Ash called into the well house. “Let’s go. We haven’t got all day, the others will be here soon.”
“You are not helping matters, Ash,” Taijina sighed, as she glared at Ash. She knew she would have to earn Kagome’s trust before she would leave with them. “Please just trust me.”
“Forget doing this your way,” Ash huffed, as Kagome clutched Shippo closer to her and started to run towards her house. Ash held out her right arm. “We are going to do this my way now. SLEEP!”
“ASH!” Taijina growled as she ran to catch the now sleeping Kagome before she injured herself from the fall to the concrete. “The poor girl is a fragile mortal human! If she is harmed both InuYasha and Sesshomaru would have our heads on pikes.”
“Whatever,” Ash sniffed as she headed down the stairs of the shrine. If Ash learned on thing in her endless wandering, it was you never gave the enemy time to catch up to you. They could show up any moment, and they were not going to be there. “She is a stubborn Miko, who was taking to long. Now grab her and lets go.”
“You can be such a vicious bitch sometimes,” Taijina grumbled as she picked up the sleeping Miko with a sleeping kit in her arms. “I like you better when you are just a goof.”
“Maybe later when we aren’t running for your lives,” Ash snorted as she got into the passenger side of a black Mazda RX8. Closing the door, Ash started up the car, and waited for Taijina to place their passengers in the backseat. “Faster.”
“You know patience is a virtue,” Taijina muttered as she finished buckling Shippo and Kagome in. Taijina shut the door and climbed into the passenger seat.
“I’m really low on virtue this century. Might wanna try next century,” Ash said as she turned to Taijina, stuck out her tongue, and stepped on the gas.
“FUCK,” Taijina cursed as she was flung back in her seat as they sped away. “Are you trying to give me whiplash?!?!”
“Nah,” Ash snickered as she weaved in and out of traffic flying at 70 mph. “You have enough whiplash from Sesshomaru.”
“Excuse you?!” Taijina gasped, as she glared at Ash. “Just what are you trying to imply?!?!”
“That he has you whipped,” Ash replied as she took a sharp right, tossing Taijina into the door. “You follow his every order like it's honey.”
“He is my Alpha,” Taijina growled as she was tossed into the door again by another sharp left. “I follow his orders because if I don’t he’ll punish me.”
“Oh boohoo,” Ash laughed.
“I’m going to kill you one of these days,” Taijina growled as she sulked in her seat.
“You can sure as hell try!” Ash squealed as she busted into laughter. “Many have tried. Oh so many have tried.”
