Chapter 7: Longing For His Touch

A/N: Kagome has become incredibly confused about the way she has been longing for Inuyasha�s touch. Will he tell her what she means to him?
Kagome had fallen asleep in a chair in the study thinking about the sudden change of heart she had undergone concerning a certain hanyou. Sesshomaru peered into the study to see Kagome�s small body curled up in the large black velvet chase lounge chair in the corner of the room. She was lying with her head tilted to the right and in her hands she clutched a thick and very old brown leather bound book. He crept over towards her like a predator stalks it�s unsuspecting prey. He paused only when Kagome shifted a little in her sleep and then murmured something softly. �Inuyasha.� She had half whispered half moaned the name of his bastard half breed brother in her sleep!
Sesshomaru snatched the book from Kagome�s hands immediately jolting her out of her peaceful slumber. �W-what? Sesshomaru!� He smirked hatefully at the raven haired miko.
�Good evening wench.�
�What the hell do you want from me? You know that Inuyasha will be furious if he catches you near me.� Sesshomaru chuckled seemingly not a bit concerned about what Inuyasha might do to him.
�He is but a worthless half breed Kagome, he is no match for me. Surely you realize that my dear?�
�I know that Inuyasha is ten times the man that you are Sesshomaru! Unlike you he�s kind and gentle!� Sesshomaru�s amber eyes seemed to glitter devilishly.
�Oh don�t tell me that you�ve fallen for that ignorant whelp? Foolish wench, don�t fool yourself into thinking that Inuyasha truly cares for you! He will never see you as anything more than the filthy whore that he has made you!� Kagome�s blue gray eyes stung with tears that threatened to pour down her cheeks. Sesshomaru�s cold hearted words echoed in her ears painfully.

�Just remember my offer wench. For one day it may just be your only option.� She turned her nose up at him haughtily as he exited the study. Kagome then decided to make her way back to the chambers that she shared with Inuaysha. She would find out for herself how Inuaysha felt about her. All she knew was that she needed him in her life. Now as far as being in love with the at times very standoffish hanyou that was something that she wasn�t quite sure of yet. Kagome entered their chambers and stripped off her pale green kimono. She stood completely naked in front of the full length mirror and stared at her exposed flesh.
She allowed her hands to skim up her toned and flat stomach ever so slowly until her fingertips rested just underneath her perky breasts.
