Chapter 7 � Rin�s Escape
            Rin lay comfortably on the soft bedding in
Kagome�s home. She had actually been able to fall asleep for a short time,
something she had not had the luxury of recently. Rin�s eyes focused and she
looked around the small room. Kagome noticed her rustling around and moved to
her bedside. �Oh you are awake! You didn�t sleep long at all.� Kagome smiled
and placed her hand on Rin�s forehead as if to check her temperature.
            �Kagome�thank you for taking me in.� Rin
shifted and sat up. She winced in pain as she did due to her unusual soreness.
�Are you alright? You look like you are in pain?� Kagome asked. Rin blushed
and looked away. How am I going to explain this? But this is why I came
here, maybe Kagome will know what is happening to me. She is the mate of
Sesshoumaru�s brother.
            �Yes, I am in a little pain to be honest.� Rin
winced again and Kagome got up to retrieve some pain medication she had brought
back from her time. After giving Rin two painkillers with a glass of water,
Kagome sat waiting for Rin to explain. �When you arrived, you asked for our
protection�has Sesshoumaru hurt you?�
            �No�yes�no�oh hell I don�t know!� Rin
surprised herself by swearing. She was very frustrated and confused. �Can
Inuyasha protect me? Sesshoumaru has gone mad and I fear he will track me
down.� Her eyes watered a bit. Rin had not allowed herself to be emotional the
last few weeks as she focused on how to escape instead.
            �Yes, I believe he can. But what is going on?
You need to tell me everything so we can better protect you.� Kagome smiled
again and Rin noticed she felt more at ease than she had assumed she would.
�Well, it�s a long story�but here goes.� Rin launched into the saga revealing
every detail to Kagome, except the same detail she had hid from Kohaku about
touching herself.
            When she finished she looked to Kagome for
reassurance and found Kagome breaking into a fit of laughter. �What�s so
funny?� Rin blushed regretting her choice to divulge so much information. �Oh..(ha
ha ha)..Rin...it will be all right! I know what is happening!� Rin perked up
at this and waited impatiently for Kagome to stop laughing and tell her what was
going on.
            �You see, about 10 years ago, the very same
thing happened to Inuyasha and I.� Kagome winked and smiled. �Although I must
say, I was only subjected to his �strange behavior� for about a week before he
broke the spell.� Rin listened intently. �Apparently this fairy had placed a
spell on Inuyasha that caused him to desire the taste and smell of his true
love. Inuyasha happened to break the spell on his own and found the fairy
months later and demanded an explanation. I forgot that Sesshoumaru was also
put under the spell. To be quite honest, I didn�t think it would ever work on
him because of the whole love part.�
            �Spell? True love�? I�m so lost�but what I
need to know is, HOW DO YOU BREAK THE SPELL?!� Rin frantically waved her arms
in the air to show her eagerness. �Oh, well that�s simple enough. All
Sesshoumaru has to do is admit that he�s in love with you.� Kagome sat back and
smiled. Rin panicked, Kagome did not just say that he has to admit he�s in
love with me, that will never happen! Rin�s thoughts swirled making her
dizzy, �SIMPLE? Oh no! He�ll never admit that, he doesn�t love me, I�m doomed
to forever be hunted by a crazed demon obsessed with me in the most bizarre
way!�
            Rin began to sob and Kagome wrapped her arms
around her shoulders trying to comfort her. �No, no Rin, you misunderstand me.
The only way the spell can even affect Sesshoumaru is if he already loves you.
You must be his true love if he is under the spell.� Kagome patted Rin�s head
as Rin wiped her tears away. �Really?� Rin whimpered softly. �Yes, really.
Ask Inuyasha if you don�t believe me, he�s the one who talked to the fairy.�
            �Let me go get him, and I�ll get Sango too.
We�ll need to look at your �injuries� so we can treat you.� Rin�s cheeks heated
up as she realized that she did need some help with her lower region. She was
in a lot of pain and very swollen. It amazed her that something that caused
such wonderful pleasure had become a source of immense pain as well. Her body
could not handle the assault repeatedly with no time in between to recover.
Sesshoumaru had gone from a gentle yet forceful attacker to an animal devouring
his prey.
            Kagome returned after a few minutes with Sango
in tow. Rin vaguely remembered meeting Sango as a traveling companion of
Inuyasha and Kagome�s. She knew a lot about her from conversations with
Kohaku. Sango was pregnant and her stomach protruded quite a bit indicating she
was close to her due date. �Hello Rin, it is so nice to see you!� Sango
chirped. �Yes, you as well.� Rin replied staring at Sango�s belly. �Sango is
due in a month! It will be her fourth child.� Kagome told Rin noticing her
fascination with the pregnant woman.
            �Fourth! Oh my, that is a lot of children!�
Rin gasped and giggled. �Miroku is hoping for a boy this time. We have three
girls and he feels a bit outnumbered.� Sango waddled over to a table where
Kagome was putting out some medical supplies. �Do you have any children
Kagome?� Rin asked feeling stupid for not knowing the answer already.
            �A boy and twin girls. But I think Inuyasha
and I are done having pups.� Kagome reached for a white tube of something that
Rin did not recognize and stepped over to her. �Lay back and we�ll see what we
can do for you.� Rin was nervous having never spread her legs for anyone before
so they could look at her. Then she remembered that Sesshoumaru had been down
there everyday for the last month and she relaxed.
            Rin tried to distract herself as Kagome placed
a hand on her knee and bent over her to get a closer look. �It�s okay Rin,
where I come from women go to the doctor every year to get checked. Plus, Sango
and I have delivered each other�s children. I�m going to touch you a bit on
your inner thigh to apply some healing cream now okay?� Rin nodded and Kagome
began to place the ointment on her chapped and scratched thighs.
            �Why did you call your children pups?� Rin
asked as Kagome worked on her. �Oh, because Inuyasha is a dog demon and dogs
have pups. When you and Sesshoumaru have children, he will call them pups as
well.� Rin flinched as Kagome smoothed the cold lotion over a scratch causing
it to burn. Children? Pups? Sesshoumaru and I having pups together? I
hadn�t considered that in this whole mess since we never even really did it.
�Um Kagome�you think that Sesshoumaru and I will have pups?� Rin sounded dazed
and baffled. �Of course I do! In fact��
            Kagome�s sentence was cut off by a loud shout
from the door. �AGHH! What are you doing?� Inuyasha had entered the room and
from where he stood all he saw was a side view of Rin laying with her legs
spread and his mate�s head disappeared between them. �I think I�m going to
faint�� Inuyasha dramatically clasped his hand to his chest and Sango laughed
at his stupidity.
            �Inuyasha!� Kagome sat up and looked at her
beloved mate staggering around as if having heart pains. �What is wrong with
you?� She asked amused not really concerned for his well being as she knew he
would survive his little drama. �You, you�you like women! After all this time
and I never knew!� Sango laughed again shaking her head and rubbing her belly.
�Inuyasha you are so dumb!� Kagome stood up and covered Rin with a thin
blanket.
            �Dumb?!� he squawked, �I�m not dumb, I know
what I saw.� Kagome walked over to him and took his hand in hers. �Oh really,
and what did you see my love?� She smiled as he tried to explain. �Well, your
head was between that girl�s legs and Sango was watching�oh GEEZ Sango was
watching! Wait till I tell Miroku!� Inuyasha waved his fist at Sango.   Kagome
and Sango broke into laughing hysterics again.
            After explaining the situation to Inuyasha
about Rin and how they were helping her wounds, he relaxed a bit. �I came to
find you awhile ago about this, where were you?� Kagome asked. �Feh, I had to
go track down the twins again. I swear they get into more trouble�� His voice
softened when Kagome gently stoked his hand, he loved it when she touched him.
�They apparently built a fort in the forest and have it all booby trapped. I
kind of got stuck�� his voice trailed off completely not wanting to expose his
embarrassing moment of being hung upside down by a rope trap that his seven year
old daughters had rigged. Kagome stifled another laugh knowing that their
mischievous girls had probably tricked Inuyasha once again.
            �Well, you�re here now. And we need to help
Rin. Sesshoumaru will probably come for her soon and we need a plan. Maybe you
could go and talk to him and tell him about the spell. That way he could break
it and everything would be fine.� Kagome watched Inuyasha�s face scrunch up, �I
don�t want to go talk to him! Let him figure it out on his own like I did!�
Inuyasha crossed his arms over his chest in defiance. �Okay then, we�ll just
wait for a crazy Sesshoumaru to show up here killing anything in his way of
getting to Rin. That sounds like a better plan.� Kagome always knew how to get
Inuyasha to see that her ideas were generally better.
            �Fine, I�ll go! But just so you know, if I
have to talk to him about his sexual desires I swear I will throw up!� Sango
and Kagome giggled at Inuyasha, he was always a treat to be around even when he
was grumpy. They had learned just to laugh at him and he had become less
difficult over the years.
