ALIGHTED PASSIONS SET FREE

"Kikyou... you're okay..." he smiled, looking into her deep brown eyes, clouded with tears. "I'm so sorry InuYasha... I'm sorry I made you worry." she whispered, reaching up to him for another embrace, managing to hug him tightly, and didn't let go. She was unable to, because she was finally with him again...

Another bad image, writhing beneath the sheets as her mind struggled to get free of the haunting pictures. "No!" she cried, bindly running into abouther trap. Leaping from her dream she fell, collapsing on the floor. She cried into the white tiles, alone she screamed into the dark room. "Why? Why is this happenning?" she yelled, looking through the ceiling. She leaned against the think white walls between her room and Inuyasha's.

He was all she ever thought about, he was haunting her when she slept, he haunted her while she was consious, he was in her blood now. Tied down, chained to her heart, merged with her soul and she. Helpless, not one thing could set her free. She had gotten too deep in every emotion. To far down in the cracks, to low to see the light.

She called out again, yelling out the dark windows, seeing the moon reflecting on the small pond in the courtyard. Her room, looked out over the gardens at the center of the building. She always enjoyed the sights of the flowers, and the beautiful sakura trees. But now the garden seemed empty, lifeless. It was almost scary how something so beautiful, could seem so dark in her angsty, scared mood.

She was alone, afraid to be there, and afraid to be in love. She quietly dressed in an old kimono, a white meorie of a shinto priestess, a long time ago. Floding the white haori and tucking into her jeans, she silently went into the bathroom. She washed her face, to wake up her slumbering senses, wiping the blood and tears from her delicate pale face. A new desire.

She opened the door, not saying a word, nor making a noise. She put her hand to Inuyasha and Kouga's room door, and let out another tear. "Teshima InuYasha, gomen, I'm too afraid to fall in love with you..." she sighed, letting her hand fall to her side, as she walked down the cold empty hallways.

"Kikyou..." he whispered in his sleep. Writhing in his bed and trying to grasp reality. He watched as she twirled around the gardens, the same images of that first day he saw her. In the gardens twirling in gracious circles, and holding tight to Miroku Katachi as they danced. She seemed so content, and yet she was sad. But above all else she was beautiful, she had captivated his heart, and was draggin him down into a deep passion.

He woke up in a gasp, grasping the sheets to avoid a very, very wet dream. Too late, he moaned letting go of his desires. "Kikyou... don't you know what you're doing to me?" he groaned, getting up to change. He slumped into the shower and quickly let the water flow over him. Seeing his erection rise again he leaned against the wall to help it. "Kami, why is this happening?" He said as he fingered his length.

After finally ending his pleasureable shower he slipped into a pair of jeans, leaving his chest bare. He flipped his short silver hair out of his face and silently opened the door, so asnot to wake his room mate. In bare feet he truged down the hallways, so empty and cold. Feeling his way along the corridor to the courtyard, he was surprised to see that it was dark, and almost scary to the point of coldness.

But it wasn't empty in sound, hearing the echo of a soft whimper. His inu-ears twitched, and he folowed the sound to it's location. The sound resonated in his mind, hearing this voice cry. He came over the bridge to find Kikyou sitting beside the pond. He didn't move at first, he didn't want her to run. He looked up as it began to rain, and he soon became drenched with water.

"Why!" called Kikyou, and falling back down to her knees, hanging her head in sorrow. Her heart jumped when she felt a pair of strong arms close around her. She twitched greatly, and yelled loudly, "No!" she cried, fearing that her dream had come true. And that the devil himself was talking her to Naraku. She scarmbled away from the source of strength and nearly slipped into the water.

Her kimono was drenched and see through and she looked up to see Inuyasha, his figure glowed against the lighting, when it shone. "Te-Teshima... mm..." she breathed, shying away from him, he drew back and turned to the side. "Gomen bellflower, I didn't mean to scare you..." he said, letting his gaze wander to the moon. It was a thin slice of light, and InuYasha cringed, knowing what tomorrow would be.

Kikyou stayed still, she was so afraid of him, afraid of his kindness, his love. And yet she embraced the idea of being with him. "Teshi... Inu... Yasha... I'm... I'm so afraid..." she squeaked, letting him kneel before her. She relaxed a bit, to know he wasn't going to kill her or hurt her. But she still kept her distance. It was time for a talk...

"Kikyou... what are you afraid of? Are you afraid of me? Is it because I tried to kill someone?" he asked, staring at her to get an answer, he had to know why, why was she so afraid. He had to fix it, so he could finally have her. But the thought of his murderous plot had barely occured to Kikyou, and she suddenly realized that she wasn't afraid of anything in particular, nothing at all. "I... I don't want to be alone..." she said.

"Kikyou... you aren't alone. You have Miroku, and Sango, and atleast you still have your father." he sighed, remembering his own sire. "InuYasha..." she sighed feeling as if this was actually possible, "you're right... I shouldn't be afraid... but... this is all... so hard..." Inuyasha leaned closer to her, and she did not back away. "Kikyou, you might not want to listen, but it's something I really need to say..."

Kikyou felt warmer inside, and the rain stopped falling, spilling it's final drops on thier already drenched faces. "Inu...?" she started, but he silenced her, he put a finger to her lips. "Shiganori Kikyou. I love you." he finished, execting her to run, to yell at him, to ignore him. But she didn't move, she didn't speak. But there was more to tell, and no room in InuYasha's mind to keep it in. "Kikyou do you know what you do to me? You make me crazy, I can't sleep without seeing you, and I... I think about you all the time. I don't want you to be alone, I don't want to to run away from me, it would break me... Kikyou if I can't love you... then I can't live..."

Kikyou was lost in the words, swimming in a sea of emotion, a slight smile spread across her face, and she leaned closer to him, "InuYasha, I do know... because that is the same way that you make me feel." she sighed, still afraid of him, and she didn't know why. She was angry at herself for hurting InuYasha, by keeping him crazy with wanting. And she all along had had the same feeling.

Inuyasha stared into her eyes, getting closer by the second. "Kikyou, don't run away... don't run away and leave me here..." he cut off his sentance and placed his lips over hers. Pressing deeper into her velvet lips and deepening this passionate feeling that had resided in his heart since day one. He held a hand underneath her chin and lifted her mouth into his, slowly opening her mouth with his tounge, and parting her lips to reveal another adventure. Letting his tongue roam and probe her mouth, and feeling her tongue on his, made his heart race. his blood pumped faster, and it ran hot when she moaned into his mouth.

Inuyasha kissed her passionately for another moment and then drew back. He didn't want to leave her warm mouth, but instinct told him to stop. He stared into her eyes, newly alight with passion. "Kikyou..." he whispered, and then she put her hand to his chest, right over his heart. "I... I love you InuYasha... I won't run away from you..." she said lowly, and leaned up to him, meeting his lips gently.

She did love him, and now she knew not to be afriad, she was living the dream, and it would always be happy.
