I'll Be Missing You

Chapter Seven

Kagome’s leg lifted to launch her into a dead run, when something yanked her back, hard enough to make her slam into an unmoving arm. Her blue eyes looked up to see Kikyo’s muted gray ones.

Kagome gasped when she saw emotion within the ashy orbs.

“You must run! Do not stay here, I will deal with it, you must survive another day, so that I may decide your fate!”

With that said, Kikyo let Kagome drop onto her back, Kagome sat up a little and watched the dead miko stalk into the forest. Kagome, frightened at first seeing emotions in the dead priestesses eyes scrambled to get up and ran in the opposite direction of the forest.

Why did she look so afraid? What was it in her eyes that made my bones cold with belief?

Her legs soon began to burn as she made it clear to the other side of the valley, looking back to see the castle still smoldering and another cloud of dirt and trees blast up from the forest, only this time, gold was involved, arches and electric demonic aura twisted and danced throughout the cloud.

~ Inuyasha/Naraku ~

Inuyasha pushed himself from the ground, blood pooled around him in mass quantities. Blood bubbled past his lips as a look of complete and utter pain washed over his face, making him pale and shake slightly.

He coughed, grabbing at his stomach, where a rip went form his lower bowel to the under side of his chest cavity.

He struggled to keep himself up right as his eyes slowly moved up to see Kagome, stalking towards him once again through the dust, licking at her blood soaked blade.

“Hm, do you know how long I’ve waited to see you suffer at my feet?”
She whispered, kneeling own in front of him, watching as he scooted away with a whimper of denial as tears rolled down his cheeks.

“What’s the matter Inuyasha? Do you hurt? Are you in pain? Do you now know what its like to feel what you’ve put me through emotionally?”

“Gomen… Gomen-nasi…. I didn’t know…”
She snickered and stood, a gleam of red flashed across her eyes as she raised the sword above her head.

In that instant, he felt a pulse of dark energy. His eyes widened and he grabbed his sword.

“Imposter!”

He snarled and whipped the Tetsuiga down on her frightened face.

“Wind Scar!”

The fake screamed in outrage as she was thrown back, slamming back against a surprised Naraku.

Kikyo made it to the clearing in time to witness the attack and notched her arrow.
Her arrow flew true and hit its mark, landing in the center of the fake Kagome’s chest. The fake screamed as it was turned dust, Naraku hissed as the holy magic began to penetrate the fake and touch his chest.

With an angry snarl he pushed what ever was left of the imposter puppet and used every ounce of energy to blast him backwards and away from the holy arrow. The arrow nearly missed him as he spun out of the way of its attack, slamming into a tree, breaking it into pieces as he landed and rolled to stop on the ground.

“ This is not over Inu Yasha!”

With that said Naraku ,disappeared in a cloud of miasma. Kikyo walked to over to the infuriated hanyou and placed her hand upon his bruised shoulder.

“ Inu Yasha…Kagome‘s dead she burned in the fire.”

“Go away!”

Inu Yasha screamed as he turned his face away.

“Inu Yasha…please.”

With no response from Inu Yasha Kikyo let her hand drop from his shoulder and she turned and walked away leaving Inu Yasha alone.


~Kagome~


Kagome ran as fast as she could and as hard as she could. Her bare legs and feet were getting scratched by all the brush whipping and snapping as she pushed through everything that was in her way.

Why am I running away? I should head back and try to find Inu Yasha…but something in Kikyo’s eyes felt real.

THUMP!

Kagome hit something hard as was knocked down on the hard dirt. Looking yup she saw Sesshormaru. Her faced filled with fear at first then wonder.


“ Sess…Sesshormaru?”

Kagome could not move she was frozen. She wanted nothing more then to get up and run but her legs were frozen.
